The Synopsis
The place in brief
“The Cosmopolita Rome Colosseum stands out primarily for its unbeatable location, situated in the beating heart of Rome, which allows guests to reach the main historical attractions on foot. Although many praise the professionalism and availability of the staff, the overall experience is strongly conditioned by the variability in the quality of the rooms and significant shortcomings in ancillary services, such as air conditioning and complaint management. Many guests suggest considering it a practical base for sleeping rather than a luxury retreat, due to the small spaces and some structural limitations of the historic building.”

15/06/2026We were very happy with the room, the breakfast choices, and the location. What made this hotel different was how incredibly attentive the front desk staff were. From the moment we checked in, they had an answer for everything. They were quick to respond via WhatsApp and connected us with a wonderful golf cart tour guide (Radion!) when we realized, toward the end of the trip, that we didn't have enough time to see everything on our list. Shout out (in no particular order) to the wonderful team on the front desk: Federica, Lorenzo, Francesco, and Fatima!!

15/06/2026It was disaster. I was very disappointed for booking this hotel. I will never book this hotel. The receptionas is the worst human being I have ever met. His name is francesco, he made me so angry.

12/06/2026Experiencing the city from a central location was awesome! Once I had my bearings to the map, everything was great. We walked everywhere. Took the hop on hop off bus just for an afternoon experience. Hotel was different - but that is part of the charm. Smaller room (again we spent little time in the room) but the AC was outstanding! (Early June). Staff were all helpful in directions and restaurant recommendations. Odd location for transportation pick up / drop off but was due to the great central location and historical ordinance. Loved access to café next store. View from 5th floor breakfast was stunning (jealous for that daily view). We stayed 5 nights and as people who do some travelling you have to enjoy the unique locations. While not one person stood out on our trip was due in large part to every encounter with desk was to the high expectations I get from most Hilton locations. Thank

11/06/2026We stayed here for 4 nights during our wonderful trip to Rome and had a great experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff was very nice and welcoming, and the breakfast was great. This hotel is within easy walking distance to most attractions in Central Rome, and there's also plenty of great restaurants around. We would definitely stay here again.

08/06/2026First of all, the location cannot be beat - at least for any reasonable price. Wonderful, newly renovated (into the Hilton family) property with a great staff. MANY restaurants, cafes, historical sites situated within walking distance. Give them a try!

07/06/2026The hotel was clean and comfortable, the AC a welcome relief after walking around the city. The staff were very helpful, and so pleasant. The location was great, close to so many areas and safe. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day. We shared our experience with our friends.

06/06/2026I would highly recommend this hotel. I was there in April with my sister and my niece and nephew. I'm gonna be honest , we had some annoying requests. Even so , the staff was extremely kind and helped us and was very transparent about what we could truly accomplish based on our request. The location is absolutely fantastic. It is a seven minute walk to the Trevi fountain , which my sister and I went to at six o'clock in the morning and we're able to see it without any tourists. According to our tour guides , we were staying in a foodie part of Rome. Also, the rooftop Terrace was stunningly beautiful for breakfast. If you are a diamond member , this is included in your stay. One final thing to mention is the air conditioning is fantastic and we ecountered no street noise.

04/06/2026From the moment we arrived this place was perfect! The location was central and we could quickly and easily get to most major tourist areas. The staff was super accommodating and offered tips and insight for places to eat and visit. To those who questioned the a/c... It worked so well in our room that it was almost too cold. The beds were like sleeping on a cloud. Love, love, loved our stay!

28/05/2026Absolutely the WORST hotel experience of my life. We arrived after a long, exhausting trip, only to be treated with zero respect. Despite having a confirmed booking, they refused to let us stay in our room because of a ridiculous excuse about our child. Instead, they tried to force us to pay for an extra room. At midnight, we were left outside with our luggage, desperately searching for another place to stay. No help, no solution, no empathy.Just a clear attempt to get more money out of us. This is not hospitality. This is exploitation. The staff is unprofessional, unhelpful, and completely indifferent to guests situations. I would not recommend this place to anyone.not even for free. Save yourself the stress, time, and money. DO NOT EVER BOOK THIS HOTEL.

27/05/2026This Hotel was Great! Perfect location, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They specifically saved us a lot of money and inconvenience by recommending that we take a taxi to the Airport. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Rome

26/05/2026My wife and I stayed five nights here while exploring Rome. The location couldn’t be beat, as we were no more than a 20 minute walk to everything you would want to see. It was nice to be able to periodically stop in the room to put our feet up between sightseeing. There isn’t convenient metro access, which is a bummer, but it’s easy to hail a taxi if you need to go further out. Breakfast wasn’t great. It’s your standard Europe Hilton breakfast but items looked and tasted like they stayed out a little too long, and with the heat on the rooftop I chose to avoid some items I would have otherwise ate. Get a room on the 4th or 1st floor, if you can. Otherwise, despite the elevator, you will have to bring luggage up and down a significant amount of stairs. The rooms are small but well designed and the decor is modern and spa-like. The beds were very comfy and the room got nice and cold at night which is always nice. I really liked the button system for do not disturb, and found that housekeeping was quick to refresh the room anytime we were gone to provide new towels. Overall a lovely stay.

24/05/2026Stayed at this hotel for seven nights in March. Expect the rooms to be on the smaller side, as this is a boutique hotel in Europe. Room was well-designed, clean, modern, and comfortable. We paid extra for a city view, but didn’t realize how loud the street noise would be at night with single-pane windows. Just something to keep in mind. The hotel breakfast was decent and had enough choices for nearly every one. The best part was the rooftop location and cappuccinos (yes, they have milk alternatives). Staff was very responsive and helpful before our arrival, but wasn’t as attentive during our stay. One thing to keep in mind is that you stay at this hotel for its FABULOUS LOCATION. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the Coliseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps, with just a slightly longer walk to Piazza Navona. We were also able to walk to the Termini train station (when we didn’t have luggage), to and from Villa Borghese, and Vatican City (all about a 30 minute walk). I would stay there again just for the location.

23/05/2026A very nice hotel in a perfect location. The staff went out of their way to help us!

19/05/2026We had a great time at this tapestry collection Hinton hotel… service was great. They can set up all kinds of Tours and cater to your needs. Our only thing that could have been better - my husband is a diamond member with a zillion points and we had a very small, 2nd floor room with no views of any kind- just looked into a courtyard of windows … food was great though and beds were super comfy. Location was great and very central …

11/05/2026The hotel is in a great location, but unfortunately the cleanliness and customer service were terrible. When we first arrived, the bidet had dirty towels in it and the bathroom floor clearly had not been cleaned properly. We went out to explore Rome, and housekeeping supposedly “fixed” the issues while we were gone. After a long day, we came back to the room around midnight and discovered that two of the beds had obviously dirty sheets covered in other people’s hair — not just a stray hair or two, but enough to make it clear the sheets had not been changed at all. It was disgusting. I went to the front desk, and the employee told me she needed photos before she could send housekeeping. So at midnight, I had to go back upstairs, take multiple pictures, and bring them back down. She never even looked at them. Eventually, she sent a very kind maintenance/housekeeping gentleman upstairs to help change the sheets, and he was the only bright spot in the experience. What shocked me most was the complete lack of concern from management or staff. No one called afterward to check on us, apologize, or make sure the situation was resolved. The next morning, no one acknowledged it at all. While waiting for our taxi, I asked for a bottle of water and was told I would need to buy one from the vending machine. I stay at Hilton properties often and am Diamond for Life, so I’ve experienced many hotels over the years. We had just come from the James Suite in Florence, which I highly recommend, and the difference in hospitality was night and day. I have honestly never been treated this poorly at a Hilton, and experiences like this are what make loyal customers consider switching brands.

06/05/2026American here. My stay at the Cosmopolita Rome Colosseum hotel was excellent from start to finish. The staff truly made the experience memorable—they were incredibly kind, informative, and their communication was superb throughout my visit. Anytime I had a question or needed advice, they were quick to help and offered fantastic recommendations that made exploring Rome even more enjoyable. They are able to speak fluently in multiple languages, so no concern if you only speak English. The hotel itself was very well kept, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a day out in the city. It was also incredibly easy to find, which is always a plus when arriving in a new place. One of the standout features is the location. It’s absolutely fantastic—perfectly situated for exploring the city without needing to walk or travel far. Many of Rome’s key sights are conveniently nearby, making it an ideal base for both first-time visitors and seasoned travelers. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and exceptional service in Rome.

03/05/2026Condition of the hotel is disappointing for the price and four star rating. It feels like a cheap hotel comparing to a low tier Hampton or Hilton garden inn. Requested two glasses to be brought to the room and received dirty glasses that were not even matching.

02/05/2026I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, my experience fell far below expectations—especially for a Hilton-branded property. Firstly, the rooms are significantly smaller than what is advertised. While this may be manageable for a short stay, it becomes quite uncomfortable, particularly given the price point. More concerning, however, was the lack of cleanliness. Even after housekeeping serviced the room, the bathroom consistently smelled like urine, which indicates that it was not properly cleaned. On one occasion, we observed housekeeping staff using our bath towels to wipe the bathroom floor, which is completely unacceptable and raises serious hygiene concerns. Despite this, the bathroom still had an unpleasant smell afterward. Additionally, there was a day when our room was not cleaned at all—the bathroom remained untouched, the bin was not emptied, and rubbish was left in the room when we returned at around 22:10. This level of service is simply not acceptable for a hotel of this standard. The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. The dining area did not appear clean, and the cups had a noticeable unpleasant smell. Plates were often visibly dirty, with leftover food residue and oily marks, suggesting they had not been properly washed. The food selection was very limited and repetitive, with the same items served daily. Portions were also extremely small, and the way food was presented made it difficult and inconvenient to serve, as the containers were not user-friendly. To be fair, the location of the hotel is excellent, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. However, overall, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Considering the price, there are certainly better, cleaner, and more worthwhile options in the same area. The standard of cleanliness and quality of food does not align with what one would expect from an international brand like Hilton

01/05/2026This hotel is in a fantastic location, right in the middle of city center and about 10 mins walk from the Trevi Fountain. My only gripe is the lack of amenities, it is a very small (think typical European) hotel so I understand why, but the rooms and the breakfast area are great.

20/04/2026We were in a king sized bed room. The room was very good. The breakfast food was good. It seemed like it was a combination of Italian and American style. We would definitely go back. The location was perfect, because it is centrally located in the historical district.

19/04/2026Just left after a 3 night stay. Wonderful hotel and very attentive staff. Loved it! The location was perfect.

11/04/2026Central location. Clean, modern, air conditioned rooms. Staff was helpful.

06/04/2026Great hotel. For our family of 3, it made the most sense to get 2 rooms. Both rooms were similar style, clean, fresh, and well lit with tall ceilings. Beds and bedding were comfortable. AC worked well, but I can only assess up to about 75 degrees outdoors. It does have windows that open a few inches to get a breeze. The bathroom was nice with a small to medium shower and provided shower products. Our room was refreshed daily and clean towels were provided. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was included in our stay due to brand status. It is on the rooftop terrace (enclosed in the spring, it was chilly), so the space is small. There was plenty to choose from for us, but overall the options are relatively limited compared to the spread a much larger hotel might provide. The service at breakfast was excellent, and the view is stunning! I would say not worth 25 Euros a person unless the convenience is critical for you, but a good value if included on our room rate. The hotel has a reasonably sized elevator (5 people reasonably) and it was never a long wait while we were there, although I suspect the hotel was not very full. There are easily accessible stairs as well! This is not a 4 hotel with a grand entrance or luxurious lobby, but it's a solid place to get a good night's rest in the center of Rome. The location is just great, we walked everywhere! There are bus stops very close by. One of rooms had a great view, the other was just a street view. It was not loud (for a Rome hotel).

27/03/2026No air conditioning in the rooms, what hotel has no air conditioning. The rooms were tiny and furnished with college dorm room furniture.

22/03/2026We loved this lovely hotel, it is extremely well located, very clean, has spacious rooms, at least ours was spacious. Very quiet, we were surprised by how we do not hear a thing from the adjacent rooms! Very comfortable beds! Super friendly staff always ready to answer any questions! Alessia proposed us a few excellent choices of restaurants! Excellent breakfast and excellent service at any moment of the day! You are basically 15 minutes away walking to most major attractions such as The Colosseo, Roman Forum or Trevi Fountain

21/03/2026This hotel lives up to the Hilton standards. Great location where you can walk to everything.

19/03/2026This was our third time staying at the Cosmopolita Rome hotel and it did not dissapoint! This trip we were accompanied by friends who had never been to Rome and with the hotel's perfectly central location we were able to visit many popular sites (Trevi,Pantheon, Colosseum, Altar della Patria, etc) early in the morning before the crowds. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. If you care for breakfast they do a lovely one upstairs with a great view. Or when going back during the day for a pit stop the small cafe outside/connected on the corner is perfect for a drink, e cibo. I cant wait to visit a 4th time hopefully before this years end!

18/03/2026Excellent staff, comfortable room, great location. We had a king room with a pullout couch, and I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and the bathroom, which had a double vanity. Super conveniently located to all the major sites, but does not face a super busy street (at least our room didn't) so that was nice from a noise perspective. Cafe/wine bar situated right below/next door to the hotel. Did not have a need for AC since it was nice and cool in March when we were there. Would definitely stay there again!

17/03/2026The best location. Breakfast was good, service is great. Will stay here again.

12/03/2026Location. Location. Location. Honestly, it would be a straight five stars if only the rooms were a bit larger. But this is Rome. We’ve used this hotel on two different occasions and plan to use it again.

09/03/2026As a world traveler, noted, “never returning”. No AC and front staff was indifferent to guests inconvenience. At check out, we met a wonderful person; Alessa C,. She offered us to have breakfast complimentary or change rooms. Had we encountered her at check-in, the rating would have been 1-2 stars better. Further, location at night feels unsafe. Be-ware & safe travels!

02/03/2026Good location, room facilities are very good But few major problems the ac is on heat in winter but but the room itself is very hot and can’t change to cool. And window barely opens. Street noises are terrible must sleep with the window closed And the service we requested help 6 time before they finally opened the lock that blocks the window opening and also in the following day they locked it again..

19/02/2026We stayed one night at this hotel, which we felt lucky because our room was hot and humid. I told the reception regarding the temperature and thermostat not working, they replied me since it is winter, they turn off the AC. I understand why they turn off, but the problem is, without any air into the room and the windows were open able to open a little bit, the room become very uncomfortable with no fresh air. My spouse and i were unable to get a good sleep and had to wake up 6am to go out for fresh air, this is not right when the hotel consider themselves as “4 stars “, which is not Pro: location is great , close to major attraction. Con: room is small, hot and humid.

16/02/2026My mother was hospitalized, so I was unable to go on my trip to Rome. I rushed to cancel the reservation, but then I realized that I had chosen a plan with a cancellation fee. After emailing the hotel to explain my situation, they kindly allowed me to cancel without any penalty. I understand that this may depend on the circumstances, but I am truly grateful for the hotel's consideration. When I have the opportunity to visit Rome again, I will definitely stay there.
Mitch Durfee
26/01/2026DONT STAY HERE: upon arrival… they fired the alarm off, charged me an additional nightly fee for an additional guest and charged me for the room upgrade even though I have gold status (upgrade if available) and friends and family discount ..they charged me 45 extra per night when the app showed 30 and they wouldn’t honor it and (room wasn’t available until 3 understandable)…don’t try to show up early…they do offer luggage storage while you wait for the room. And there’s an additional $25 euro for breakfast per person… After a long trip the first thing you want to start your vacation is being hit with additional charges and poor customer service… really sets the tone Not what your expect from a Hilton brand After leaving this review the receptionist - stopped me in the lobby with my family and started questioning me about my review and asking me why I would leave that review and tell people that it’s $25 euro for breakfast Unbelievable that they would treat me that way in the lobby infront of my family while on vacation! Stay far far away!!

28/12/2025Good location, attentive staff. Everything else is just acceptable. Except breakfast--that was kind of sad. It was crowded and worse than a Hampton Inn. Sad since this is the main diamond benefit. Didn't even end up using it. Elevator is small. There were three people in there who I would consider just slightly above average size for Americans, and they took up the entire weight limit for six people.

22/12/2025This hotel is located in a fabulous spot. It's a 10-15 minute walk to all of the major attractions in Rome, like the Trevi fountain, Colloseum, Pantheon and others. It's right next door to the Vittoriano e Palazzo Venezia , which is the location of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Italy. The views are fantastic and dining as well as shopping are close by. The staff is excellent and helpful. Taxi's can be requested at the front desk and are quick and efficient. I definitely recommend using the taxi's while in Rome. The views from the rooftop restaurant are very nice.

15/12/2025Stay: 4 nights (Couple) Location: 5/5 Value for Money: 4/5 An Excellent Base for Exploring Rome My wife and I spent four nights at the Cosmopolitan Tapestry Hotel and were very satisfied with the choice, especially considering the price we paid. Unbeatable Location (5/5): The undeniable strength of the hotel is its location. It is excellently situated, practically next to Piazza Venezia. This means that all of Rome's main points of interest (the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, etc.) are comfortably within walking distance. Being able to return to the hotel mid-day without needing public transport was a huge advantage. Facilities and Quality: Regarding its standard, the hotel is clean and feels relatively modern, although it is important to note that the facilities are not brand new or recently updated. On an international scale, I would rate it as a solid three-star hotel. Room: Our room was a positive point; it was relatively spacious for a hotel in the city center. The only minor drawback we found was the lack of practical furniture. There were few drawers and shelves for storing our clothes, which was a small logistical challenge during a four-day stay. Breakfast: The breakfast is a simple buffet, but perfectly adequate to start the day with energy. It offers enough without being extravagant. Our advice is: if it is included in your room rate, use it. If you have to pay extra, it is probably not worth the additional cost. Final Verdict: The Cosmopolitan Tapestry Hotel proved to be a very good choice for the price we paid. It is a clean, well-located, and functional place. If you are looking for luxury, this is not your place, but if you prioritize an unbeatable central location and great value for money, this hotel is perfect.

13/12/2025We came for the brand after staying in multiple subpar places in Rome (and Italy in general.) They seem to have different standards than other surrounding countries on their star rating. For Rome, this is about as nice as it's going to get for the price range. The rooms are modern after a remodel a few years ago. They're tiny, but have what you need. The majority of the staff was polite and considerate. Any place has room for improvement, but I'd suggest that it would be challenging and costly to find larger or "better" service. Everything you need is here OR within short walking distance.

28/11/2025The hotel is in a nice place, well lo ates. The problem is that, front desk don’t answer the phone, 2 minutes after we keep calli g, we came downstairs and the you g lady said that she saw our call but was busy. Aldo, no Heather so ever in this hotel, and when we adíes for a portable One she mention that she did t know if they had one, and she was using one u der her desk. A few minutes later, came a guy with a kids size cover. Different than many other comments, breakfast was decent. I will definitely avoid if possible.

21/10/2025If I could i’d give 6 stars. The hotel is in great location, about 10 min from everything. The staff were great however Fatima and Federica were the beat of all. Friendly, professional and very courteous. Definitely an hotel to stay when in Rome.

13/10/2025Great location of the hotel. Rooms are nice. Ours smelled slightly of cigarette smoke upon arrival. The bathrooms are TINY, smallest we have ever had in Europe. The room was great and a good view. However, we asked for our bedding to be changed out 3 times and they never did. The rooftop terrace was heavily advertised but it is only open during breakfast. Otherwise you can't use it. The front desk was friendly but just never followed through with cleaning our room. This is a great budget friendly place with a good location, but definitely not luxury. Oh yeah, and the fire alarm went off at 4am in the morning one night and they never told us why or apologized for it. Just sent us back to our rooms after getting us all out of bed at 4am.

30/09/2025I stayed at this hotel in Sept 2025 and was pleased with everything (bed and pillows were comfortable; breakfast was ok). I requested suggestions for a nearby spa and the front desk staff recommended Artemís Spa, which was about a 15-minute walk (good suggestion). I loved the hotel's location—it was conveniently close to many restaurants and even a wax museum. I’ll likely choose this spot again the next time I visit Rome.
Michael Hill
29/09/2025Amazing location - within 10 minutes to the Colosseum, the Forum is almost right outside the door, and in good proximity to all the other top sites in Rome. The hotel is clean, in good shape, and has good service. This is not the hotel to choose if you want a fancy and pampered stay - this is the hotel to choose if you want to visit the city! Nothing beats being able to hit one of Rome's sites and then be able to quickly walk back to your hotel to rest and recharge. Similar to the hotel overall, the breakfast is nothing remarkable - but it does have an amazing view from the rooftop terrace. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a centralized base in Rome to explore and live the dolce vita
Curt O'Connor
19/09/2025The remodel done a few years ago has brought the property up to a very contemporary look. In doing so, the rooms are smaller (12’x10’) in my case with the shower a mere 30”x30”. Storing suitcases and clothes are challenging. No drawers leaving suitcases on the floor of a small area. Staff was helpful, breakfast was very satisfying. Good location as well.

18/09/2025Recently stayed here on points and to be honest expected a lot more from a Hilton Tapestry collection. As the other reviews mentioned, the rooms are quite small but they’re honestly not that much smaller than most rooms in Roma, so that shouldn’t be a deterrent. The price you pay is for the absolute best central location you could ask for - regardless of your plans in Rome. The hotel scores an A+ in walkability and you’ll be hard pressed to find a better breakfast view. Was the breakfast the best? No way, was the view at breakfast one of the highlights of our trip? Absolutely. Recommend this hotel for people only looking for a place to sleep at night after a day of exploring. No frills or romantic touches at this location. If you can get a deal and looking for a clean hotel to recharge before doing it all over again, we’d recommend it. Come here to sleep but stay for the breakfast view.

15/09/2025Location is everything, but I write this review for Elite members just on a good to know basis. Your status here doesn’t hold any value; as a lifetime Diamond Elite you don’t feel any appreciation or special welcome. You might as well have booked through cheaphotels.com, it would not have made any difference. Upon check in I was assigned a room on the first floor on a corner with a very noisy road. The first night I was constantly woken up and unable to get any rest after a 20 hours trip. The next day I complained and was able to get a better and quieter room; this is when I realized that the previous room wasn’t just noisy but also outdated and cheaply set up. My reservation was made weeks in advance, not last minute. There is no justification for the top tier elite status holder to be handled so cheaply.

11/09/2025To echo the other negative reviews, i honestly cannot believe this is a Hilton. I appreciate the cramped rooms are because of the fantastic location, but this is by far the noisiest smallest hotel i have ever stayed in

22/08/2025Great hotel location accessible to a lot of historical places. Rooms are also very clean and fairly big. There are few negatives. 1. If you have a large and heavy luggage, you will have to lift it up 3 steps before you get to elevator and after on each floor. Room 118 where I stand in, the temperature dropped in the middle of the night on its own and was extremely cold. The temperature controller would not work at all temperature change, off or on or fan shut down on controller had no effect. This happened twice 3am and 5am. But as bad as it gets, I called 3am to front desk and noone, NOONE answered. This is the first hotel in my life where I had no front desk answering a call when I need it at most. As for breakfast, tight your pants. It feels like Benito Mussolini was guarding and watching. It was very awkward. And if you have more than 2 sweets, he would ask you to slowdown. Im a skinny guy and even for me it wasn't enough. So keep this all in mind if you plan to book it.

21/08/2025Not a top Hilton Tapestry but confortable and clean hotel. Great attention from staff. Breakfast is below average for a tapestry hotel.

21/08/2025The location of this hotel can’t be beat! We walked absolutely everywhere over the course of our five day stay and our hotel felt like it was in the center of it all, right next to everything! Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum are both just around the corner and other major destinations like the Vatican, Trastevere, and more were all very easy for us to walk to. The room was a pretty standard size for a city hotel— perfectly fine for the two of us in a king room, but some may find it small. The air conditioning worked well, which was important to us! We walked upstairs for breakfast one morning but didn’t partake as it was expensive and didn’t seem to be worth it— way better to just grab a pastry and coffee each morning at a different place on your way to your activity in my opinion. We appreciated that they gave us 2 bottles of water each day when they cleaned the room.

15/08/2025I stayed at the Cosmopolita Hotel Rome, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, for one night, and while the location is a strong point, the overall experience fell short of expectations for a supposed 4-star hotel. The hotel is conveniently located just minutes from major attractions like the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum, and Victor Emmanuel II Monument, making it ideal for sightseeing. However, the room was disappointingly small, particularly the bathroom, which lacked a bathtub. Basic amenities like room slippers were not provided, which was surprising for a hotel of this caliber. As a light sleeper, I found the thin walls to be a major issue—you could hear every word from the neighboring room and noises from the hallway, making it nearly impossible to rest comfortably. The hotel, with over 70 rooms, has only one lift, which was inconvenient and caused delays. The breakfast was mediocre at best; the food and pastries tasted stale and far from fresh. The service from the waitstaff was equally disappointing, feeling unprofessional and reminiscent of a roadside diner rather than a 4-star establishment. While the location is a redeeming factor, the small rooms, poor soundproofing, limited amenities, and subpar breakfast service make it hard to recommend this hotel, especially for light sleepers or those expecting a true 4-star experience.

08/08/2025A truly cosmopolitan experience from start to finish. The hotel is fantastic, beautifully designed, and every detail feels just right.very clean. Fatima, Francesco, Timberlin, and Alessia are absolute superstars – their hospitality, attention to detail, and professionalism made the stay unforgettable. Just one small note: the espresso could definitely be improved ☕️😉

22/07/2025Nice hotel, coming from the US very small, however this allowed me and the wife to space save better. The food on the rooftop was okay, much better downstairs at the corner restaurant. The desk people were helpful in navigating you to different places.

16/07/2025This was our very first time in Rome and this hotel has a fantastic location. The hotel itself is wonderful. Very clean, with all the needed amenities. The staff at this hotel go above and beyond. I will continue to always book this hotel for Rome. 10- 15mins walk to Trevi,Metro, and all the other sites. There is a fantastic restaurant just right next to the hotel for breakfast drinks and tiramisu. A very special shoutout to Frederica & Franchesco for amazing 👏 service. We could not recommend this hotel more. We give it 10/10

05/07/2025The location is awesome. Service was very good. The front desk was helpful with getting us tours.

01/07/2025My husband and I stayed here and the service was wonderful. Front desk is incredibly kind and accommodating. They offered great recommendations since it was our first time in Rome and booked them for us as well as offering to book dinner reservations. They insisted on bringing us wine glasses instead of standard water glasses in the room when they saw us enter with a bottle of wine. Overall very clean and friendly, and walking distance from SO many great places.

01/07/2025Didn't stay here but the front desk was very nice. I stopped by to try to get help finding a taxi stand and they called a taxi for me.

25/06/2025This hotel is perfect for exploring the center of Rome! The front desk staff was so helpful, and our room- king room with chair bed- was big enough for three of us with a large bathroom. However, we were only in the room to sleep so did not expect much. I don’t understand all the bad reviews. We definitely would book again here for another trip to Rome.

15/06/2025Superb location, near several major Rome’s attractions (e.g. Di Trevi, Pantheon, Forum Romanum, Vittoriano). Well designed, functional, clean and quite spacious rooms. Friendly and helpful reception. Good breakfast on the 5th floor, with breathtaking views of the Eternal City. Grazie!

12/06/2025Excellent location steps away from Piazza Venezia, the Roman Forman and many more.. This is a smaller boutique style hotel for the Tapestry line but does not fall short on service. Everything is a short walk away and transportation stops are just a 2 min walk always. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful..

15/05/2025Clean and staff friendly. Only one elevator for the entire hotel which has issues. The elevator will not take four people with luggage without giving a warning to unload weight. It is also very slow. TV doesn't have many English channels mostly news. They helped us with two tours. Both golf cart tours. One around town for 3 hours was great. The other dining tour which was a waste of money. Suggest skipping. The hotel is in a great location to walk to most attractions in the area. Beware a lot of African soliciting going on and don't go away easily. Breakfast not included. They have buffet for $25 Euros each. So-so. Not restruant but cafe next door. No bar either.

06/05/2025This hotel is in a wonderful location! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff wasn’t overly friendly but they were fine. I wish they had a jug of water set out for their guests and maybe some coffee in the morning.

21/04/2025I will absolutely stay here again - the staff is very kind and the rooms are Clean. The room is on the smaller side but I was travelling on my own. So close to the colosseum and trevi and so many other attractions. Wonderful experience.

14/03/2025Great location with friendly staff. They had umbrellas for the rain and held our luggage for us while we explored the day we checked out. The rooftop breakfast has some pretty nice views. Definitely would recomment.

14/02/2025We had a great stay at this beautifull hotel. With renovated rooms and amazing location it has everything you need for your stay in Rome.

07/02/2025The front dest is totally racist!!!A friend of mine had booked a room for me for four nights and informed me that I needed to confirm the reservation by email or phone before 10 p.m. I was in the process of sending an email when the front desk, upon seeing that I was Asian, forcefully insisted that I could not send an email and had to call immediately. Despite my attempts to comply, I was ultimately denied check-in. I have stayed in various Hilton hotels in Italy for many days and have never encountered such rude behavior from a front desk staff member. The staff simply sat in their seat, ignoring me, making me feel like I was not even worth their attention. I sincerely hope that Hilton takes this matter seriously. I believe that such behavior is not in line with the values of respect and hospitality that Hilton stands for!!!

03/02/2025I had a very pleasant stay. Location is perfect walking distance to most attractions. You can walk to the major attractions within 10-15 minutes. There are also a number of busses right outside that go to Termini station. I included breakfast with my stay and it had good options. Eggs, ham, turkey, sausages, pastries, donuts, and of course coffee. The dining room is small so it can get crowded during the busy season. The rooms are a nice size and did not seem cramped like some of the other hotels I've stayed in. Wifi was fast. This is a good mid-range hotel. It is not a fancy hotel but has everything most travelers will need.

16/01/2025My family and I were staying at this hotel last month, from December 12 to 15. This is just a message to say thank you for everything, for your hospitality, the service level of everybody at the hotel, your recommendations, your support during our stay, your customer focus, etc. Without a doubt, once we come back to Rome, we will be at this hotel again ! Congratulations !!

29/11/2024My wife and I stayed at Cosmopolita Hotel in Rome and enjoyed our stay tremendously. The location is incredible, walking distance to everything you would want to see in Rome, and the hotel staff was both welcoming and informative. Reception staff gave us restaurant and entertainment recommendations when we checked in, the cleaning staff was very thorough and accommodating, and staff preparing and attending breakfast were always helpful and positive. We will absolutely stay here again if returning to Rome.

30/12/2017STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!! Worst 4-star hotel I’’ve ever been to. It’s definitely just a 2-star hotel only!! Don’t be tricked by the front desk photos and star rating! Extremely terrible room condition and custom service! WiFi doesn’t work, shower doesn’t work (unless you can stand a warm-hot-cold shower in a constant cycle with your shower tub plugged and flooded) and the hotel staff and manager doesn’t care even after you complain about it multiple times! Plus no coffee or water service. You have to go out to buy it yourself. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS TRASH HOTEL! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

09/09/2025The location is incredibly convenient, and the price varies 3 to 4 times depending on the season. Even if you are a Westerner who have not developed your sense of taste, breakfast is not highly rated by Asians, especially Japanese. 場所はとてつもなく便利、季節によって料金は3〜4倍変わります。朝食は味覚の発達していない欧米人ならまだしもアジア人特に日本人には評価低いですね。 Also, be careful because it's quite noisy on the main street side
