    I've been to hotels in many countries across the globe. Urso Hotel and Spa in Madrid is certainly one of the best in the world and if I have the opportunity to spend time in Madrid again I would certainly welcome the opportunity to stay at this hotel. All the staff that I met were excellent but the Concierge went above and beyond and deserves special mention for the quality of service!!

    Lovely hotel in a fabulous location in central Madrid. The team went out of their way over several days to assist us with our lost luggage, and also retrieved a small item we left behind. Excellent service and beautiful place to stay. Thank you especially to Jorge, the front desk team and concierge. You are true professionals. We’ll see you for our second stay in a few days.

    Extremely disappointing experience. The bed sheets in my room smelled strongly of body odor, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. When I reported it, I was told the valet driver would handle the issue after parking cars. I ended up sleeping on towels. The Deputy Manager, Patricia, responded by offering a bowl of berries and five sample sized skincare products, which felt dismissive and insulting rather than a genuine resolution. For a hotel that claims to be five stars, both the cleanliness issue and management's handling of it fell far below expectations.

    This hotel is not worth what you pay for it at all. A suite a barely larger than a regular room and the terrace is barely big enough to walk onto. The drain the shower doesn’t work and I can’t get hot water in my room. Location is nice but I’ve stayed at 3 and 4 star hotels that were better than this. Save your money and book somewhere else

    Urso is a beautiful boutique hotel in a quiet stunning area of Madrid. Everything you could possibly need is nearby in terms of good food, pharmacies and shopping. Also it is easily walkable to main places like gran via. I love that the hotel is super cozy vibes and quiet. Feels like a home away from home. The room I personally stayed in had a stunning view of the park side/along with the beautiful residential building in front of the hotel. All the staff were lovely and super helpful. I loved sitting in the lobby area in the evening as that area is very well lit up (cozy lighting) and piano music is played there at night. I would definitely stay here again as I really loved that this place didn’t feel like a big commercial hotel but like I said a home away from home. 5/5 stars for me.

    I booked the room and the spa was not even included. The room was very small and I was very unhappy how the supervisor talked to the spa staff. Absolutely devastating and shocking honestly.

    We just wanted to give future travelers a heads up about the pool situation. We stayed at URFO Hotel & Spa for 2 nights. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because the booking information listed an indoor pool as one of the amenities. At check-in, we were not informed that pool access required a reservation. We only found out after showing up at the pool and being told that appointments were required. We then made a reservation for the next day, only to be further surprised when we were informed that our room did not include pool access and that there would be an additional charge of €38 per person (a few bucks less for children) for 45 minutes of use. This felt extremely misleading. Advertising the indoor pool as a hotel amenity without clearly disclosing the significant extra fee during reservation requirement, and limited access is deceptive. Also, this was not really a pool, but a small water circuit. Had this been made clear during the booking process, we would have been able to properly evaluate whether this hotel met our needs and whether we wanted to stay there at all. In addition, the bathroom had major water regulations/temp issues. Whenever someone flushed the toilet or used the sink, the shower water would suddenly become extremely hot, which felt unsafe.

    I can only speak about our experience in the lobby bar. I can’t really say anything positive. Just be assured that it will be unlike any other bar you’ve ever been in in Madrid. Ridiculously high prices. Refusing to speak to us in Spanish, which is a little bit ridiculous in Madrid. Charging for the water that comes with your drink. I’ve never seen that before in any bar in Madrid. Needless to say we will never be back.

    Hotel Urso is one of the best boutique hotels that I have stayed at - the staff are impeccable and responsive to all requests. The building is amazing and the spa facilities are top notch. This is hands down the best 5* boutique option in Madrid. Highly recommend. P.S. Casa Felisa (the hotel's restaurant) is the place to fine dine with a great atmosphere and delicious food

    Another winning hotel from SLH. Good mix of feeling classic and modern. Staff is very attentive. Rooms are nice, clean, and bigger than expected for an urban European hotel. The only (slight) drawback is that it's a little farther than I realized from many of the main tourist sites, about a 20 minute walk. But lots of restaurants etc. nearby. Overall a very nice stay

    URSO is a beautiful hotel in a great location within walking distance of most of Madrid’s must-dos. The best part about URSO is the excellent customer service. My family stayed here 3 nights at the beginning of our Spain vacation and have returned after 10 days. The staff here speak English perfectly but are happy to help me practice my not-as-perfect Spanish. They always greet us warmly and have helped us sort out numerous difficult issues we encountered (unrelated to URSO) while we were here. Everyone has been so kind and friendly. I especially want to thank the doormen and bell service team, including but not limited to Álvaro and Raúl; our concierge Lucían; and receptionists Bali and Matteo. House keeping staff is also very helpful (thanks to Miriam and Grace). We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at the URSO restaurant the first night we arrived, and we received very friendly and attentive service from Isak. I hope to return to Madrid and would definitely choose URSO again because of their wonderful customer service.

    Booked: with CSR and had an excellent 4 nights at Urso. They acknowledged the benefits upon check in but there was no upgrade available. Location: excellent for first time in madrid. Close to shopping in a great neighborhood with plenty to do, wash and fold laundry around the corner & taxis always passing by Spa: book in advance but one of the best massages we’ve had. The reserved pool and hammam ensured privacy and a relaxing environment Staff: very friendly and helpful Overall experience: would stay there again, truly 5 star

    Nice hotel and efficient staff in an amazing neighbourhood. If you are a light sleeper, you might hear other guests closing and opening their doors and walking the hallway, especially if your room is in the beginning of the hallway. I was shocked to have been charged for a coffee pod (7.5 euros) in such a hotel, so be aware that even coffee pods are not complimentary.

    Urso Hotel & Spa is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Europe. The staff truly pay attention to every detail and provide exceptionally thoughtful and attentive service. The location is excellent—central yet very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is decent, but the outstanding service more than makes up for it. The spa is absolutely the highlight of the hotel and a must-try experience. Highly recommended.

    Being from New York City, where standards for service, food, and hospitality are exceptionally high - I was very impressed with the URSO hotel. The location is ideal, the staff truly exceptional- warm, attentive and effortlessly professional. The food was excellent, the waiters thoughtful and polished, and the concierge remarkably knowledgeable & helpful.     We had an excellent stay at URSO around New Years time and would glad visit the hotel again. The staff were fantastic and we were happy coming back each evening after a busy day in the city. We had breakfast included with our booking and enjoyed doing that almost every day - they were generous and had delicious options. We also really enjoyed the lobby bar, and the piano evenings. The location of URSO was also perfect to go shopping in Salamanca, and had many fantastic restaurants that we booked, which were all within a 15 min walk.

    It's such an elegant escape. That lobby bar is gorgeous, and URSO Hotel reminds me of the classic Monte-Carlo vibe. A coffee at URSO always feels like coming home... The staff speaks perfect English, which you don't always find in Spanish spots. Definitely recommend it.

    Having been treated to a spa day here, my daughter and I ate in the lounge/bar area adjacent to reception. The service was absolutely terrible and the food very bad. No one attended the tables, we had to repeatedly ask for someone to attend our table. We ordered a starter to share and the identical mains. After waiting almost 30 minutes everything came out together. The starter was cold and one of the mains was wrong. We waited a further 22 minutes for another main which apart from the fries was stone cold and we informed a waiter. Nothing was offered. So hungry and as my daughter had eaten, I reluctantly chose to eat it. Asking for the bill requesting the main get removed it was refused. Allied to this asking to speak with a manager a lady serving coffees came to our table informing us she was a manager. Asking to speak to an actual manager the F&B Manager Matias came to speak with us. He refused to remove the main, so we asked to speak with the Hotel Manager. We were again refused saying he was too busy telling us he spoke to the Hotel Director and we must pay for the second main . Later Matias said it was the “hotel direction” that we have to pay for what we eat. He lied, twisted events inferring he spoke to the Hotel Director which he did not. This resulted in us being threatened with the Police so my daughter called the Police herself. Over the phone to my daughter the Police explained we need to complete a complaint form, one of which Matias gave us. We completed the form in English, Matias in Spanish and he stamped it after keeping us waiting 15 minutes to do so. We asked him to translate what he’d written, he refused then when verbally accounting for what he’d written/stated it was a very creative twisted fabrication of the truth. Sadly he told many lies so we are now taking this up with Victor Vacas the CEO who we have e-mailed and messaged on LinkedIn. Customers are not always right but one thing should never happen and that’s a hotelier staff member, lie and twist the facts and order you to pay for a cold meal that was originally the incorrect order and one that we waited 30 minutes for followed by another 22 minutes. We experienced argumentative ill-trained staff that have no real concept of service or principles. This is a matter of principle and not the €20.00 cost.

    Beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms. Clean and comfortable. Spa is lovely and the masseuses are excellent. Valentina at the front desk is attentive, kind and accommodating and remembered my preferences from one stay to the next. Lobby/bar area is beautiful with a lively vibe - live music and Pedro makes the best cocktails and mocktails.

    A uniquely charming and elegant hotel in the midst of the City. We were warmly welcomed by all of the staff, who were always helpful and professional. Quite possibly the best European-style hotel we have ever had the pleasure to stay at; a real gem. We want to acknowledge the Magnifico service provided by Sara, who oversees the breakfast experience. If time allows, thy the spa - an oasis in the busy and vibrant city of Madrid. Five Stars!!

    The Urso hotel is in a perfect location, walkable to all areas of the city and close to cafes and local shops. The service and staff at the hotel are incredibly friendly, helpful, always smiling, attentive and just a wonderful team. The rooms are a very nice size, very pretty decor and very comfortable. I would recommend staying at the Urso, the lobby, library, bar area and breakfast restaurant are charming, inviting and it has a perfect sense of place! Loved the Urso would highly recommend it!

    This is a truly beautiful historic hotel with modern amenities. The staff is exceptional, the food in the dining establishments is delicious and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. Sarah in the breakfast dining was a standout - she treated us each morning with a warm welcome, remembered what our breakfast favs were and was so efficient and truly a pleasure. We looked forward to seeing her each morning! She is truly a gem and an important asset to this amazing hotel!! Thank you all for a wonderful experience! My heart belongs in Madrid so who knows - I might be back!!

    Enjoyed my 3-night stay at Urso and would stay again without hesitation. Rooms were well-kept by housekeeping, comfortable bed + bedding with separate shower/tub, breakfast buffet was simple but well supplemented by an a la carte menu (free for my booking via Chase Sapphire Reserve) and I had relaxing water circuit treatment + massage at the Spa. The location is perfect if you want a place away from throngs of tourists and tourist traps but still be within 10-15 min Uber or public transit to key Madrid attractions.

    The Urso Hotel and Spa was a wonderful place to stay during my recent trip to Madrid. It's a great location within walking distance to many sites. The staff is very courteous and helpful. I also enjoyed the spa during my stay. The rooms very very nice. It would have been even better if there was musical entertainment at the hotel in the evenings while we were there.

    We had a great experience at URSO. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Out of my multi-country European vacation, the bed and pillows were the most comfortable out of all the places we stayed. We did have a clog in our shower but it was fixed same day. The room provided plenty of water and on arrival we had snacks waiting for us. Every afternoon they brought us little chocolates and fruit. I did think it was a bit weird that the staff came into your room multiple times a day- once for cleaning and making beds and once for snacks and bringing water. One day I was fairly sure they came in 3 times, once again after we went swimming. Breakfast each morning was fantastic. Definitely one of the better breakfast buffets I’ve had at a hotel. A nice mix of great Spanish food like tortilla espanola, along with usual breakfast foods. You could also order additional food off a menu as well, which was nice in addition to the buffet. You can order breakfast to your room with card that comes in your room- but I don’t recommend since they charge 6 euros a person to bring it up. Staff were very nice and attentive and friendly. The hotel is in proximity to lots of great sights in Madrid and just outside the hustle and bustle of the central areas.

    One of the best hotels we stayed in Europe. Amazing place,close to shops and opposite one of the markets. Clean , amazing architecture, super attentive and friendly staff (every day we had little treats in our room, fruits, chocolate, biscuits from local makers) and I really appreciated the extras. We asked for an iron in our room and was delivered for free. The beds were the most relaxing ever! The piano vibes in the beautiful lounge area so relaxing and the sea moss on the walls made us feel like we were in nature! They also have one of the oldest elevators in Europe still functioning. So much nicer than the modern ones 😄 The only thing I would add to is the breakfast area to have a bit more of a variety. Although everything was fresh and delicious and you can also have some food ordered from their breakfast menu. Thanks for an amazing stay 🙏

    Fantastic hotel - from the elevator and marble stairs to the sumptuous breakfast and understated service. Great location and well-appointed and maintained rooms. URSO Madrid is my new standard for upscale hotels. And if you're Gluten Free? Oh my...the breakfast will break your heart (plus the GF pizza restaurant a 5 minute walk away).

    Our stay at the Urso Hotel in Madrid was unforgettable, not just for the beauty of the hotel, but for the warmth and care of the people who work there. We arrived very late after a cancelled flight, tired and ready to collapse, and were greeted with a beautiful spread of fresh fruit in our room, such a thoughtful welcome. The hotel itself is gorgeous: elegant decor, spacious rooms, and a peaceful atmosphere in the heart of the city. That first night, we discovered that the AC in the kids’ room wasn’t working. The next morning, we mentioned it to the concierge, Luciano, who could write the book on kindness and professionalism. Not only did he arrange to have the issue checked, he gave us fantastic suggestions for places to explore with our children. A few hours later, he texted to confirm the AC was indeed broken and that they would move us to a new room, and that we didn’t need to lift a finger. When we returned, all our belongings had been perfectly placed in our new rooms. But the best surprise was waiting for our kids: a little teepee with plush teddy bears, balloons, and a magical setup that lit up their faces with pure joy. That thoughtful detail is something I will never forget. During the hot August days, it felt priceless to return to such a comfortable, welcoming space. The neighborhood is charming, full of great shops, restaurants, and beautiful streets, but without the overwhelming crowds. If you’re coming to Madrid, do yourself a favor and stay at the Urso. It’s more than a hotel, it’s a place where you’re genuinely cared for. And if you’re lucky, you’ll meet Luciano.

    Tomé un refresco con una amiga y fueron super amables. Las salas muy agradables para compartir un momento de relax. La carta del restaurante era muy apetecible. Nos enseñaron el spa y merece la pena. Probare El restaurante cuando vuelva a Madrid. Precioso el ascensor de época y la vidrieras.

    Ожидали большего от отеля с пятью звездами. Нас заселили в номер с запахом краски (внимание, в отеле прямо сейчас идет ремонт!). После небольшой ссоры нас пересилили в другой номер. Номера сильно уставшие, наш балкон выходил на сплошную стену рынка. Никакого красивого вида как на картинках там нет. Завтрак не входит в стоимость номера за 400 евро. Но самое большое разочарование - спа. В раздевалке нет места, чтобы переодеться. В любой момент может кто-то зайти, это кошмар. Массажистка которая делала массаж лица (Наталия) - шарлатанка. Это не массаж лица, она просто растягивала лицо в течение часа. Более того она смывала средства с лица….руками! Не дисками, не полотенцем, а руками. Это немыслимо. Она просто мыла из в раковине и потом мокрыми руками смывала средство. При этом цены за услуги просто космические! Не ходите сюда, не тратьте время и деньги.

    Elegancia, sabor y arpa en directo 🎶 "Si buscas un brunch que sea pura paz y sofisticación en Madrid, el de El Invernadero en el Hotel URSO es una parada obligatoria”. Lo que realmente marca la diferencia es el ambiente: desayunar bajo la luz natural del patio mientras las notas de un arpa en directo llenan el espacio es una experiencia emblemática. Es el lugar perfecto para desconectar del ruido de la ciudad. Destacar una espléndida carta y sobre todo un impecable servicio. Como nota a reseñar la actuación interpretada por el arpista la cual fue más que sublime. Como único punto a mejorar, quizá sería la decoración de la estancia donde se desarrolla, la cual nos la esperábamos que fuera más acorde cautivadora.

Las habitaciones son amplias y cuidadosamente decoradas, destacan por su comodidad y por lo bien insonorizadas que están, lo que permite descansar de verdad en plena ciudad. Uno de los grandes aciertos del hotel es el desayuno, muy completo y con productos de alta calidad, pedido a la carta. Además no faltan opciones saludables y platos preparados al momento. Es de esos desayunos que se disfrutan sin prisa, saboreando cada bocado en un ambiente agradable y relajado. Asimismo, teniendo en cuenta lo complicado que es aparcar por la zona, el servicio de aparcacoches resulta especialmente cómodo y eficiente. En la misma línea, el trato del personal es fantástico, cercano, profesional y siempre atento, consiguiendo ese equilibrio perfecto entre amabilidad y discreción. El ambiente general del hotel es sereno y sofisticado, ideal para desconectar o disfrutar de una escapada en pareja, lejos del bullicio más turístico pero con una ubicación excelente. En conjunto, es un hotel muy recomendable por su estilo, servicio y confort, perfecto para quienes buscan una estancia especial en Madrid, sabiendo que el precio está en línea con su categoría.

    Nuestra primera estancia en Urso Hotel & Spa fue simplemente maravillosa. Viajamos mi esposo, mi hija de tres años y yo, y desde el primer momento sentimos que habíamos elegido un lugar realmente especial. El nivel de lujo del hotel se percibe en cada detalle. Las instalaciones son absolutamente hermosas y se nota el gran cuidado en el mantenimiento y la calidad tanto de las áreas comunes como de las habitaciones. Todo estaba impecable y cuidadosamente pensado, creando una experiencia elegante pero a la vez muy acogedora. Lo que realmente marcó la diferencia fue la atención del personal. Desde los porteros hasta el equipo de recepción y el restaurante, todos fueron increíblemente amables y atentos. Quiero destacar especialmente a Beatrice en la recepción del lobby. Nos sorprendió gratamente que recordara nuestros nombres; nos hospedamos dos noches, luego salimos a visitar otra ciudad y al regresar nos recibió como si nunca nos hubiéramos ido. Ese tipo de atención personal realmente hace que uno se sienta especial. También disfrutamos muchísimo del desayuno en el hotel. Además de ser delicioso, la experiencia fue aún más agradable gracias a Sara, quien está a cargo del pequeño y encantador restaurante llamado el Invernadero, donde se sirve el desayuno. Su calidez y amabilidad hicieron que cada mañana comenzara de la mejor manera. En general, la atención al detalle fue excepcional. Este hotel logra ofrecer ese verdadero ambiente de lujo y experiencia boutique donde uno no se siente como un huésped más o un número, sino como alguien realmente bienvenido y valorado. Sin duda, una experiencia que repetiríamos con mucho gusto

    Visité con mi hija el Spa y la experiencia fue negativa ya q nos tuvimos que ir porque la temperatura del agua era insoportable, totalmente contrario a relax y disfrute. Tratándose de un hotel de esta categoría no lo puedo entender . La hoja de reclamación me la entregaron sin cubrir ,sin sello.... Perdimos nuestro tiempo pero nos devolvieron el dinero

    Fuimos a una experiencia de spa con masaje. El lugar es muy agradable y está todo muy cuidado, pero el agua de la piscina de hidromasaje estaba demasiado fría. Nos comentaron que la mantienen a 30 grados para evitar la proliferación de hongos, lo que entiendo pero la sensación era bastante desagradable, te quedabas totalmente destemplado. Es una pena, porque por lo demás la experiencia fue buena y el masaje estuvo bien.

    Très joli hôtel très bien placé dans Madrid. Central mais au calme. L’hôtel est très beau et le personnel très sympathique. Je ne mets que 4 étoiles car un hôtel 5 étoiles exige que certaines prestations soient plus haut de gamme. La salle de sort est petite, plus de place au sol pour faire des exercices, pas de désinfectant prévu pour les machines, pas de poubelle non plus, ni de bouteille d’eau à disposition. Les chambres sont belles mais les SDB sont petites… nous avions pourtant une chambre d’un certain standing avec vue sur le palais. SDB petite, douche 90x90 Et WC dans la SDB. Une seule vasque… pas digne d’un 5 étoiles. Les femmes de ménage ne remettent pas d’eau le matin en faisant le menage. Il faut attendre 18h Les chambres sont nettoyées mais pas rangées.

    No me imaginaba que pasaría esto cuando decidí ir a merendar a un hotel de 5 estrellas con cinco amigos. Llegamos y tardaron aproximadamente 20 minutos en tomarnos nota. Después de ir a buscar a uno de los camareros, lo conseguimos. Tardaron en traernos algo 40 minutos: un té que si estaba bien, un café frío y chocolate caliente que estaba mal ya que yo había pedido un colacao o un nesquik. Se lo dije al camarero y me intentó discutir que si que era eso. Lo que habían hecho era echarle un poco de leche de mala manera a un chocolate caliente. Las otras tres personas seguían sin nada en la mesa. 20 minutos más tarde trajeron otro chocolate caliente el cual no habíamos pedido que se volvieron a llevar y un chocolate con naranja que si estaba bien. Dos personas seguían sin nada. En este viaje trajeron también los churros que llevábamos todos esperando desde hace 1 hora, fríos y duros. 10 minutos más tarde trajeron un chocolate caliente con canela y un té de las personas que seguían esperando. Y 10 minutos más tarde la fruta de esta última. Para sorpresa de nadie nos cobraron toda la cuenta, sin recibir unas disculpas. Una experiencia malísima, no lo recomiendo.

    Un hotel de cinco estrellas con un servicio de hostal de pedanía. Fui a reunirme en su hotel y a aprovechar para tomar un chocolate caliente. El resultado fue que tras 55 minutos nos marchamos sin que nos sirvieran nada, con cinco viajes al mostrador en los que nos despachaban diciendo que tenían problemas y con la amarga sensación de haber contribuido a un quiero y no puedo de los de toda la vida. Recomiendo que si es usted español y está acostumbrado al buen trato, se ahorre el mal trago y busque otro sitio.

    Después de disfrutar del spa, hemos degustado el brunch, y nos ha encantado. Estaba todo muy rico, bien presentado y la atención muy buena. El salón precioso. Sasha fue nuestra camarera, y fue muy buena profesional; nos atendió muy bien durante toda la comida.     Hôtel bien située et petit déjeuner sympa pour le côté positif. Le côté négatif ! Pour moi c’est un petit 5* , Wc dans la salle de bains alors que nous avons pris une suite car nous étions 3! Des suppléments non justifiés 105€/nuit pour un lit alors que la 3eme personne était inclus ! 50€ / nuit pour un chien ! 99€ de supplément que je n’ai toujours pas compris. Après réservation et paiement, on apprend que le restaurant est fermé ainsi que la piscine !. Bref déçu de cette expérience, je reviendrai à Madrid mais pas dans cet hôtel

    Tuve la ocasión de asistir a un evento familiar en este precioso Hotel, cuya gastronomía, de alta calidad, hizo la ocasión inolvidable, el lugar donde nos adaptaron el cóctel-brunch fue en el espacio que podéis ver en la última foto, muy íntimo y con mucha privacidad, estuvimos súper a gusto. No tengo palabras, es un edificio bellísimo, de bellas instalaciones en el que se ha creado un ambiente exquisito, y tanto la gastronomía como el servicio, sólo puedo calificarlo de IMPECABLE. Sí tuviera que organizar un evento lo haría en este Hotel por su elegancia, su distinción y por ser diferente a todo lo que conozco, no me cabe ninguna duda que el triunfo estaría asegurado. Ha sido una experiencia única para todos los que tuvimos el inmenso placer de asistir al evento en su Hotel. El comentario fue unánime. Lo recomiendo mucho, es exquisito, cada detalle fue absolutamente perfecto. Mi más sincera enhorabuena

    Estuve de visita sin alojarme, muy bonito y tranquilo. La zona de lobby bar está ambientada con música en directo.
