14/04/2026Buen hotel, buenas habitaciones y buen desayuno, pero noté un servicio poco profesional por parte del staff de recepción. El servicio de limpieza se llevó accidentalmente una prenda que tenía en la habitación y, cuando no la encontraron, me ofrecieron el valor económico de la misma como compensación. Hasta ahí todo normal, pero justo antes de dejar el hotel me dijeron que la habían encontrado, y me ofrecieron devolvérmela a cabio de devolver el dinero, o quedarme el dinero y ellos se quedaban la prenda. Como ya había utilizado el dinero para comprar una alternativa, decidí quedarme el dinero, por lo tanto ellos se quedaron mi prenda, que no van a utilizar, cuando fueron ellos los que la perdieron en primer lugar.

En cuanto a la ubicación, está a pocos minutos caminando de zonas clave como el puerto y el casco histórico, lo que lo convierte en una base práctica para explorar la ciudad.

Tienen una terraza en el ático con unas vistas increíbles. El buffet del desayuno tiene un poco de todo pero poca variedad,lo mejor te hacen el café de cafetera Fantástico.

10/06/2026La mia esperienza non è pianamente soddisfacente. La posizione è buona ma la sera sconsiglio di tornare a piedi. Il personale reception è molto gentile ma la pulizia delle stanze presenta ampi margini di miglioramento. L'arredamento è moderno ma vecchio, rubinetteria incrostata in molte parti (meglio non descrivere il box doccia), biancheria usurata. E' un 4 stelle come struttura ma non oltre il 3 stelle come qualità. Non tornerei.

04/06/2026Il nostro primo soggiorno a Napoli: ospitalità d'eccellenza al Palazzo Salgar Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura e l'esperienza è stata assolutamente impeccabile. Fin dal nostro arrivo siamo stati trattati magnificamente da tutto il personale, che si è dimostrato gentile, professionale e attento. La sorpresa più grande è stata ricevere un upgrade gratuito in Junior Suite, una camera spaziosa, elegante e curata in ogni particolare, che ha reso il nostro soggiorno ancora più speciale. La posizione dell'hotel è strategica: si trova in una zona comodissima da cui è facilissimo raggiungere il centro di Napoli e spostarsi a piedi verso i principali punti d'interesse della città. A coronamento di un'ospitalità premurosa, al momento del check-out lo staff ci ha sorpreso con un graditissimo omaggio finale: delle deliziose sfogliatelle napoletane, un pensiero dolce e raffinato che ci ha fatto letteralmente viaggiare con il sorriso. Consigliatissimo sia per la qualità dei servizi che per il calore dell'accoglienza. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

03/06/2026Horrible experience at the Palazzo Salgar. When I first came to the hotel, I noticed that it is on a very busy road with lots of littering and traffic. Upon arrival, the room they put us in was smelling very bad and the air conditioner wasn't working. The hotel staff quickly changed our room, which was very kind of them. In the new room, there were two spiders in the bathroom, one of which was in the sink (as pictured below). Although the room still didn't have a pleasant smell, it was still better than the first one. The bathroom door looked like it was punched or just had a big hole in the middle of it. The beds were very hard and there were stains throughout the room, especially the bathroom. The shower area was small and rusted. The stairwell in the hotel smelled like vomit. I notified the staff, but nothing has been done for the time I was there (three nights). The food at the hotel's restaurant was not good and was soggy. (See the picture of the lasagna bolognese they served me). Overall, 2/10 (as the staff were very friendly)

31/05/2026Très déçu pour un hôtel annoncé 4 étoiles. Les photos parlent d’elles-mêmes : joints de douche jaunis et sales, traces de calcaire et d’usure visibles, finitions négligées, meuble de salle de bain abîmé et marqué, éléments métalliques rouillés ou oxydés autour de la douche, et un niveau de propreté global qui ne correspond clairement pas au standing attendu d’un établissement 4 étoiles. Le robinet de douche est une véritable horreur à régler : on passe littéralement plus de temps à essayer d’obtenir une température correcte qu’à profiter de la douche elle-même. Entre brûlant et glacé, le réglage est imprécis et franchement pénible au quotidien. À notre arrivée, il y avait des traces d’urine sur la cuvette des toilettes, ce qui est tout simplement inacceptable et remet sérieusement en question le contrôle du ménage avant l’entrée des clients. Concernant l’entretien quotidien de la chambre, cela ressemble davantage à un rafraîchissement de façade qu’à un vrai ménage : le lit est refait, les serviettes rangées et du parfum d’ambiance est diffusé, mais aucun vrai nettoyage visible. Pas d’aspirateur, pas de nettoyage sérieux du sol ni impression générale de chambre réellement entretenue. Pour preuve, les boissons et sachets de gâteaux vides que nous avions laissés sur le meuble étaient encore là après le passage du ménage, ce qui montre bien qu’un nettoyage complet n’est pas effectué. Le quartier autour de l’hôtel n’aide malheureusement pas non plus à l’expérience : beaucoup de pauvreté visible et un environnement peu engageant pour un séjour censé être confortable. Je tiens malgré tout à nuancer : le personnel est plutôt agréable et poli, et le petit déjeuner est assez bon, ce qui constitue les principaux points positifs du séjour. Mais dans l’ensemble, le rapport entre la promesse d’un 4 étoiles et la réalité constatée est loin d’être au rendez-vous. On s’attend à beaucoup mieux en matière de propreté, d’entretien et de confort.

31/05/2026Das Personal annder Rezeption sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer ist schön und ausreichend vom Platz her. Die Lage ist nicht sehr schön. Wenn man zu Fuß in die Stadt möchte, läuft man an vielen Baracken mit Obdachlosen vorbei. Das schlechteste ist das Restaurant: kein Sevice und das Essen schlecht. Kein Dressing am Salat, Nudeln kalt mit kalter Soße. Noch nicht einmal eine Pfeffermühle in Sicht. Personal unmöglich. Also lieber Pizza auf die Hand.

24/05/2026Hôtel fonctionnel pour un city trip à Naples. Bien situé et pratique pour prendre le ferry pour aller sur les îles aux alentours. A l’arrivée, nous avons été agréablement surpris par un petit cocktail de bienvenue mais par contre aucune explication sur les services de l’hôtel (horaires petit-déjeuner, salle de fitness, solarium, etc). Nous avons tout decouvert par nous même La chambre est fonctionnelle mis à part la douche. Nous ne nous sommes pas sentis en insécurité si vous partez et rentrez par les petites rues. Mais je déconseillerais peut-être de remonter le long du port le soir. Nous ne l’avons fait qu’en journée et avons évité de le faire le soir. Le petit-dejeuner est très bon et varié. Le oeufs sont très bien cuits et les pâtisseries très bonnes!

19/05/2026Nous avons dormis à cette hôtel pour 3 nuits. Nous avions deux excursions de planifiés dans cette région, Capris, Sorrento et Amalphi, donc l'agence qui était en charge du circuit nous a réservé une chambre dans cette hôtel. L'hôtel comme tel est vraiment très bien. Les déjeuners sont excellents et le membres du personnel avec qui nous avons parlés ont toujours été très gentils et polis. Le seul problème est l'emplacement selon nous. Il est situé dans une zone qui n est pas très jolie. Il est a moins de 2 km de la station de train. Est ce que c est toute la ville qui est comme ça, je ne sais pas. De ce que nous avons vu Naples est une ville où il y a beaucoup de traffic, de bruit, de gens et de graffitis. Il reste que la ville semble sécuritaire le jours pour les touristes, mais ne vous attendez pas à ce que vous aurez peut-être vu dans d'autres villes de l'italie.

13/05/2026We were pleased with our 2-night stay at Palazzo Salgar. The room itself is decently sized with a large, comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom too. Admittedly, the decor is a little dated in that the color scheme is just quite dark, but that wasn't any real issue. The complimentary breakfast was tasty with a decent variety of continental options. The gym is pretty small (I'd say maxium 2 people at a time comfortably) but great for a basic workout (treadmill, stationary bike, multifunctional weight machine, & free weights). Very walkable location.

09/05/2026Spent 4 nights here, the hotel is amazing, staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble, especially a man called " Darius " who was super helpful, room was lovely and clean, breakfast was superb and catered for everyone, the only thing that was disappointing was the area, it was absolutely filthy, rubbish everywhere, lots of homeless in the square surrounded by rubbish, pavements littered with dog mess, and groups of men quite intimidating at night, it was a real shame as the hotel was spotless

10/04/2026Do not recommend this hotel. It's in the middle of nowhere. You cannot enter the building without pressing the door bell! Our bedsheets were not new. There were no toothpaste/toothbrush, no slippers. Bathroom ist a bit old and there were also questions about cleaning. It must be renovated. For 177€ for two way to expensive!

The housekeeping, cafeteria, and breakfast staff were also wonderful. Everything is carefully looked after: cleanliness, service, comfort, and all at a more than reasonable price. Camere moderne e ditate di tutti i comfort con ampia doccia, asciugacapelli cassaforte set x caffè/te e un frigo bar dove mi sono stupita x prezzi piu che onesti. Anche la colazione dolce salata con una scelta eneccepibile. Sfogliatelle e pastiere migliori che in pasticceria. 13/11/2025L'hôtel est situé dans un quartier mal famé, mais il est proche du centre. L'accueil est très chaleureux. Nous avons eu une chambre très calme, ainsi que nous l'avions demandé, lors de la réservation. La literie est excellente. La salle de restaurant, tout en longueur, n'est pas agréable pour se mouvoir, sans déranger les occupants des tables. Le petit-déjeuner est beaucoup trop basique, sans aucun intérêt.The hotel is located in a rough neighborhood, but it's close to the city center. The welcome was very warm. We had a very quiet room, just as we had requested when booking. The bedding was excellent. The long, narrow dining room isn't pleasant for moving around without disturbing other diners. The breakfast was far too basic and uninteresting.

24/10/2025The hotel is clean and the beds large and pretty comfortable. The rooms are very basic, no coffee/kettle or bottled water provided. The hotel is very loud with traffic from nearby roads and other guests/staff. Breakfast is ok with not much variety. The hotel is about 20 minute walk to most popular tourist attractions. The hotel is dated and needs to be modernised, however the staff are polite and friendly.

17/10/2025This hotel is a gem. Because we were visiting on my wife’s birthday we were able to upgrade to the junior suite with a terrace overlooking the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Our terrace did not have a table or seats to sit on but the hotel staff promptly brought us up something to sit and relax on. The next morning the young lady at the front desk apologized for not having something out there and told us it was because of safety reasons due to the fact it can get quite windy during the winter months which apparently is late October. The weather was consistently mid 70’s and sunny, which we were told is rare that time of year in Italy . The breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh pastries. If you are visiting Naples, stay at this hotel

25/09/2025This is a hotel that I wish I had checked street view first. I wanted a water facing room but I wish I hadn't. It faces the water sure but that means it also facing the very busy road out front. It's also not a great walk from the beaches. The hotel is self was fine. A bit dated but OK. Dust warning for those who may be sensitive. For the price however, the staff was lovely and it offers valet parking for an additional price point.

10/09/2025Really nice hotel with only a short walk to public transport services (bus and train station). Multiple restaurants in the area with lovely food. Breakfast got a bit busy and was a struggle for a seat but the food was decent.

06/09/2025I stayed here for 4 nights while at a conference. It was a truly luxurious experience. A nice walk away from the more hectic areas yet siill close enough to a metro stop (5 min) and train station (15 min). The mini gym and solarium were an extra touch. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. In particular, I remember Oriana always available to provide assistance. Minor complaint would be the heavy rush at breakfast (and monotony except rotating desserts) at the early hours but not too big an issue to remove a star.

04/09/2025This is barely a 4-star hotel. In Australia, this would be closer to a roadside motel than a true 4-star. The staff are hit and miss. Some were okay, but others were rude and unfriendly, especially the man at the main reception. I asked for extra towels, and they were never delivered to our room. We stayed in Room 702, which was supposed to be a suite. The bathroom was outdated, and you couldn’t even have a proper shower. The location was also a big disappointment. Every place worth visiting was at least a 20+ minute walk or a €25 Uber ride away. To get anywhere, you have to walk through sketchy backstreets before reaching the busier areas. This really ruined our stay in Naples, especially after realising there are many other beautiful, better-located hotels we could have chosen. Overall, the location is terrible, the facilities are outdated, and the service is unreliable. Definitely not worth it.

08/08/2025Hôtel agréable pour y passer quelques nuits. Notre chambre était petite mais propre. Le personnel à l'accueil était serviable, bémol pour les serveurs du petit déjeuner. Le quartier n'est pas très sécure, mais à 15 min des rues piétonnes, idem pour les ferries ou la gare (à pied). Petit déjeuner correct.

03/08/2025La mia esperienza in questo hotel è stata estremamente negativa, e sento il dovere di condividerla affinché altri potenziali ospiti possano fare scelte consapevoli. Innanzitutto, l'hotel si trova su una strada molto trafficata e rumorosa. A qualsiasi ora del giorno e della notte si sentono automobili, clacson, e voci provenienti dalla strada. Anche con le finestre chiuse, il rumore è penetrante e costante, rendendo quasi impossibile riposare adeguatamente. Questo già di per sé sarebbe stato sufficiente per lasciarmi insoddisfatto del soggiorno. Ma purtroppo, il peggio doveva ancora venire. Il momento più spiacevole — e francamente inaccettabile — è stato quando ho avuto un'interazione con un dipendente della reception, un certo Sacha. Avevo semplicemente posto una domanda relativa a un acquisto effettuato in hotel, e sono stato trattato con una mancanza di rispetto assoluta. Sacha ha subito assunto un atteggiamento scontroso e maleducato: ha alzato gli occhi al cielo, ha risposto con un tono sprezzante e passivo-aggressivo, come se la mia semplice domanda fosse un fastidio intollerabile. Ma ciò che ha davvero superato ogni limite è stato il fatto che, mentre si allontanava, ha pronunciato un insulto razzista a bassa voce, ma abbastanza forte da farmelo sentire chiaramente. Una parola offensiva, discriminatoria, che non lascia spazio a dubbi sulle sue intenzioni e sui suoi pregiudizi. Sono rimasto scioccato e profondamente ferito. È inconcepibile che una struttura alberghiera permetta un simile comportamento da parte del proprio staff. Non c'è giustificazione per la discriminazione, di nessun tipo. Come ospite pagante, e soprattutto come essere umano, mi aspettavo rispetto e professionalità. Invece ho vissuto un episodio di razzismo che mi ha rovinato completamente il soggiorno. In reply to your reply: Ero un ospite. Il fatto che tu insinui che non lo fossi convalida il razzismo del tuo staff. Non tornerò più e la mia famiglia che viene a trovarmi non soggiornerà mai più qui.

Quelques bémol pour un 4 étoiles: grande salle de bain avec une toute petite douche cabine aux joints TRES douteux et la porte ne ferme pas, une boite de mouchoirs dans la chambre et une bouilloire avec thé et café de courtoisie seraient les bienvenus. TV petite et 1 chaine francophone... Petit déjeuné copieux et varié. Personnel...peu communiquant (souvent plongés dans leurs ordinateurs lors de nos passage) une réponse à nos bonjour serait top

20/07/2025I think the hotel is overpriced for what it is and tries to pass itself off as a 4-star. I didn’t like the location much. Later, I realised there are much nicer areas of the city. The surroundings had quite a bit of litter and busy roads. The hotel itself was okay — clean but a bit outdated. The room had blackout curtains but no sheer curtain for daytime privacy, which was weird as my room was facing other apartments. There were decorative bamboo sticks on the restaurant tables— felt like unnecessary clutter. Breakfast was average but good enough. People praising it in other reviews probably haven’t experienced better yet. The staff at reception were very friendly — shoutout to the girl with glasses, I didn’t catch her name, but she was always positive and helpful.

Accueil reception et parties communes très bien. Personnel su restaurant peu souriant. Bon emplacement pour partir en croisière ou visiter la veille ville. 27/05/2025Palazzo Salgar è ben posizionato a pochi passi dal centro storico e con una fermata della metro nei pressi dell'hotel. L'accoglienza lascia un po' a desiderare: personale freddo e poco sorridente, stessa attitudine riscontrata nella sala della colazione. Buffet ben fornito con anche le specialità del posto. Le camere sono standard, niente di più e niente di meno, apprezzata la vasca idromassaggio. Non so, l'ho trovato molto impersonale.

23/05/2025Die Zimmer sind relativ klein, für eine Städtereise jedoch ausreichend. Eine Renovierung wäre dringend erforderlich. Die Türklinke von unserer Badezimmertür war lose, wir hatten sie mehrmals in der Hand und mussten sie wieder einsetzen. Die Dusche sieht schlimm aus, von Sauberkeit keine Spur. Die Duschabtrennung ist total verkalkt und schmutzig. Der Boden im Zimmer wurde von Tag zu Tag staubiger. Wenn mal ein Kleidungsstück auf den Boden gefallen ist, konnte man es eigentlich nicht mehr anziehen. Thema Nachhaltigkeit: es gibt eine Toilettenspülung zum Wählen von viel und wenig Wasser. Es funktioniert aber nur die Taste mit viel Wasser. Jede Toilettenpapier Rolle ist zusätzlich nochmals mit Papier umwickelt. Es gibt Portions-Packungen mit Duschgel und Körperlotion. Die Handtücher werden jeden Tag ersetzt, obwohl sie nicht auf den Boden gelegt wurden. Es gibt nur eine Regendusche von oben, keine Handbrause. Wenn man die Haare nicht waschen möchte, muss man die bereitgelegten Duschhauben aus Plastik verwenden :-( Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sind freundlich und grüßen auch immer, wenn man vorbeikommt. Nicht so im Frühstücksraum. Auf ein freundliches Buongiorno bekam man keine Antwort, geschweige denn, dass man von alleine begrüßt wurde. Vier Mitarbeiter schafften es nicht, die Tische zwischendurch mal abzuräumen und dafür Sorge zu tragen, dass alle Lebensmittel immer verfügbar waren. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag gleich, Rührei ( das schwamm in Flüssigkeit, nicht sehr appetitlich ), Bacon, Würstchen, gekochte Eier, je eine Sorte Käse, Salami und gekochten Schinken, Obstsalat, Portions- Packungen Joghurt, Frischkäse, Marmelade, Cornflakes, eine Sorte Müsli, kalte Milch, Butter, viele Kuchen und Teilchen. Für italienische Verhältnisse also durchaus umfangreich, aber es ist ja auch ein Viersternehotel! Der Kaffee aus den Automaten schmeckt leider gar nicht und auch der von der Bar hat uns persönlich leider nicht geschmeckt. Die Lage zum Fährhafen ist gut, nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Der Bahnhof ist in 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Auch das historische Viertel erreicht man fußläufig in 20-30 Minuten. Die direkte Umgebung des Hotels Ist leider wenig ansehnlich. Der Block hinter dem Hotel ist sehr schmutzig. Verdreckt, überall Hundehaufen und Müll. In direkter Umgebung nachts auch das Lager von vielen Obdachlosen. Fazit: Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt nicht ( Doppelzimmer 160 € pro Nacht inklusive Frühstück für zwei Personen im Mai ), man kann den Standard hier nicht mit anderen Großstädten wie zum Beispiel Lissabon oder Barcelona vergleichen. Italien hat einen wesentlich schlechteren Standard. Tipp: die Hotelrechnung genau kontrollieren, wir sollten etwas bezahlen, was wir nicht verzehrt hatten. Es hat einige Diskussionen gegeben. Schließlich hat man auf die Berechnung verzichtet. Es scheint kein vernünftiges System zu geben, um zu überprüfen, ob der Besteller überhaupt die Person ist, die in dem Zimmer was angegeben wurde, wohnt.

06/10/2024Belll'hotel nelle vicinanze del centro storico e del terminal crociere del porto di Napoli. La posizione è perfetta, e la struttura è ben arredata. La struttura permette di raggiungere a piedi sia il centro storico di Napoli che il porto, ma al contempo la distanza a poche centinaia di metri dalla stazione della metropolitana garantisce una perfetta connettività con al rete dei trasporti della città. Le camere sono pulite, silenziose e confortevoli. La colazione è varia e di buona qualità. L'hotel ha la possibilità di servizio gratuito per la tenuta dei bagagli. Palazzo Salgar è sicuramente un'ottima soluzione per un soggiorno a Napoli o per una sosta con visita prima di imbarcare su crociere e/o traghetti, e rappresenta un buon compromesso per quanta riguarda la posizione rispetto all'area centrale e turistica della città. Infine, buono è anche il rapporto qualità prezzo. Sicuramente consigliato.
