Disastrous Experience – A Storage Room Sold as a Hotel Suite! ​We paid 940 Euros for 4 nights for a family stay with a 1-year-old baby. It was a complete scam. ​No Space to Breathe: As seen in the photos, the room was so tiny that there was absolutely no space for luggage. We had to stack our suitcases next to the bed, completely blocking the walking path. We literally had to jump over bags to move around. ​Broken Promises: They confirmed a baby cot, but it was physically impossible to fit one in that room. We had to squeeze three people into a small bed. We woke up in pain every day. ​Rude & Mocking Staff: The staff mocked our English and laughed at our request for the promised cot. Extremely unprofessional behavior. ​Poor Facilities: No parking (despite the listing), smelly corridors, and paper-thin walls. The elevator is ancient and dangerously small for a stroller. ​We left after 2 nights because it was unbearable. Do not be fooled by the photos online; the reality is a cramped, smelly, and disrespectful environment.

I love this little boutique hotel located right in the heart of Rome. The only downside side is that it has a teeny tiny elevator that only you and your luggage will fit in. Other than that , it felt like home to me! I stayed for 14 nights and absolutely loved it!!

Fabulous hotel. Lovely helpful staff. Great location. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast 10 euro per person. Plenty of choice, all fresh. Worth it compared to price of coffee and croissant in a cafe. Rooms were spacious. I've seen other reviews on here of rooms being small and I was worried before we arrived. However I needn't have worried, we had 3 sharing and there was plenty of room. It was a double bed and pull out sofa bed. All beds were comfortable. Bathroom was lovely. Housemaid cleaned everyday. Fresh towels. I would say they could have done with some coat hooks especially in the bathroom but that is my only negative. The lift didn't work when we arrived, but there was a gentleman who carried the luggage to the room. It was working again the next day. 5-10 minute walk to metro, 20 minutes to colleseum, pantheon, all dependant on your speed of walking

The rooms were very disappointing. They were small, had no carpet, and the sound insulation was very poor—we could clearly hear noise from other rooms and even from the hallway. The ventilation in the room was also very bad. The breakfast selection was limited and the quality was not very good. In addition, the elevator was extremely small and could only fit about two people. The reception, housekeeping, and the staff were all truly excellent. They were very helpful and professional.

Hotel Giolli Nazionale was an amazing place to stay in Rome, with high quality and very clean rooms, delicious breakfast and friendly service. The location is the best there is, giving you possibility to get to Colosseum and Centro Storico in 15-20 minutes of walking. I strongly recommend this hotel if you’re planning your stay in here.

What a wonderful hotel. We stayed here as a family of four in a quad room for four nights. The location is unbeatable- even with two kids we were able to walk everywhere. The reception is open 24 hours and all of the staff we met were friendly and professional. If visiting Rome again, I would not hesitate to book this hotel again. Five stars

This hotel in Rome exceeded all my expectations and truly deserves the highest praise. Its location is outstanding — the Colosseum is just an 8-minute walk away, the Trevi Fountain only 10 minutes on foot, and the main train station is approximately 12 minutes away, making it extremely convenient for exploring other cities as well. The hotel itself is excellent: very clean, comfortable, and well-organized. The breakfast is delicious, rich, and varied — a perfect way to start a day in Rome. The surrounding area is vibrant and full of life, with numerous shops, restaurants, and cafés just steps away, adding even more charm to the stay. This hotel offers the best possible base for discovering Rome in a relaxed and enjoyable way, promising a truly memorable experience. I will definitely return to this hotel on my next visit to Rome. Highly recommended!

Booking the “top room” sounds impressive until you arrive. You’re greeted with towels with holes so worn they’ve evolved into lace, no milk for your trouble, paper cups and walls so thin you’ll be fully briefed on your neighbours’ private conversations, whispered or otherwise. Storage is a concept, not a feature, and dressing gowns are apparently a luxury too far. Renovations and drilling was happening on the hallway next door from 10am. The Wi-Fi crawls along at a glacial pace, the lift appears to be a novelty item designed for exactly two people with low expectations. Reception, should you go looking for it, is hidden on the first floor. Don’t bother searching for a grand entrance; this place clearly didn’t.

I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. I made an honest mistake when booking and selected the wrong dates. I contacted the hotel to request a date change or a refund so I could rebook correctly. The hotel refused both options. Instead, I was told that my full payment would be kept and that I would need to pay a very high additional amount to change the dates — far more than the actual price difference shown on Booking.com. I was also encouraged to make a new reservation for an even higher total price. I understand policies, but there was no flexibility, empathy, or guest-friendly approach. The situation felt unfair and stressful. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values fair treatment and good customer service.

The hotel is extremely well located within walking distance of monuments, churches, shopping and dining options. Breakfast buffet is decent and room was spacious. The bathroom should have a door so the water doesn't leak... Will be back

The hotel has a great location, everything is within walking distance, and there are plenty of nice restaurants and shops nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that our room was quite cold, and we couldn’t adjust the temperature ourselves because the heating seemed to be controlled centrally. Breakfast was tasty, although the selection was a bit limited. There are also only a few tables in the breakfast area, so some guests had to wait for a seat. Overall, it’s a good hotel!😊

During my two days stays, I didn't have to take public transport at all to see all the main sites in the heart of the city! Overall great experience. Room was nice, only issue we encountered was some water was leaking from bathroom given it was open bathroom. I think bathroom was more suited to disabled people? Otherwise it was great. Was nice and spacious, had cupboard to store things. Air-conditioned was great. Staff was nice and helpful. Great communication and very kind and friendly. Cleanliness was great. We did not have breakfast there so don't know. Elevator is very small so watch out for that. Location is 10/10. We spent 2 nights and we really loved it. I will be happy to book again. Highly recommended.

Location is superb as it’s only 10-15 minute walk to the main attractions/shopping/ restaurants. Supermarket is 2 minute walk down the road. We had the French bed room although when you first walk in it seems quite compact together it’s a nice room especially if you’re travelling as you’re not in the hotel room as much. Safe is no extra price and you choose the own pin. The bathroom is stunning and spacious with an open shower with two showerheads. Tv, fridge and small wardrobe space is only included in room. In the cupboards were extra pillows which were handy. There was a balcony however i wouldn’t even call it that as it was tiny, had no view and was gated off connecting to something. You have to pay tourist tax which as we stayed for three nights & two people it were €36 total. When we arrived the room was very clean and had housekeeping everyday cleaning our room- thank you! A 10/10 for the staff especially the receptionist who were all polite, welcome and spoke a variation of languages. As a short travel trip I would recommend this hotel, Thank you!

The staff at the hotel were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was good but would suggest changing at least a few items on the menu every few days. Rooms were small but clean and serviced daily well. The location was excellent and close to some great clothes shops, and local trattoria restaurants serving authentic Roman food. Distance to the centre was alittle far and about 9€ one way by taxi to the centre. I would recommend this place for your next visit to Rome as it was well priced too. Importantly it had a lift which was a vital factor in booking this hotel.

This hotel is well located, just a 12-minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and only a few minutes from other iconic landmarks in Rome. The room exceeded my expectations. It was perfect! Soft bed and pillows, enough space for our clothes and belongings, a bathroom with a bathtub and hairdryer, a dresser with a mirror and chair, a well-functioning fridge, a coffee and tea station, and good air conditioning and lighting. I was very impressed! Although the 4th floor was under renovation during our stay, it didn’t bother us as there was no noise at night. Our booking included breakfast. While the breakfast wasn’t exceptional, it was enough to keep us full before heading out for a long day of walking. The only thing I didn’t like was the very small and almost unusable lift, it was like broken and didn’t function properly, so we ended up using the stairs. But everything else was perfect, including the friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel reception & rooms are different buildings. The elevator is very small - limited only for 2 & most of the time doesn't work. No hotel staff around, if in case you need any urgent attention. Telephone at hotel room don't work. Very limited breakfast options. No hot water for shower, if in case required. No complimentary drinking water. Hotel staff is not friendly & some of them don't speak English.

I stayed at the hotel in July 2025. I would say overall it’s good for the location, clean rooms, decent breakfast. I had a deluxe room with a view so it’s a bit larger than others (just to keep in mind with the photos) and I also had the wonderful ceiling designs. The walls are quite thin though so if you have loud neighbors can get loud. No separate shampoo or conditioner (shampoo and body wash in one)…although this is standard for all hotels in Italy so bring your own hair care if you care about that. Update: If you need an iron, they keep them at the lobby you just need to ask! Overall I would definitely come back because location was great. Rooms seem a bit outdated but I didn’t really mind.

The hotel was fine, but we were not warmed about the extensive renovation taking place on the floor we were situated. (4th) . When we raised this at reception, we were told she had just forgotten to tell us. The room was very small but adequate as we were out exploring and just wanted a base and somewhere to sleep. They said tea and coffee facilities are available in the room, but there were 3 teabags, no milk or creamer, and no coffee at all. The coffee machine in the breakfast room had the milk available only at breakfast time, so it was black coffee or nothing throughout the rest of the day and evening. There was no literature in the room at all on what facilities were actually available at the hotel and as it was spread over 5 floors we did not find out if there was anywhere else to sit other than our room or the breakfast room. We also did not know if the water in the fridge would be charged or if it was free so we bought water from a close by supermarket. If I was to visit Rome again I would not choose to stay at this hotel as I did not feel that it represented good value for money and the lack of information really let it down

The BEST location! We stayed for 4 nights and it's such a central location to walk to everything- was ideal! Friendly welcome from reception staff. Lovely breakfast. We had the superior double with view (we upgraded directly with hotel ahead of arriving which was very simple to do) A lovely sized room. Very comfy bed. Lovely bathroom with a bath. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. The road outside wasn't an issue, the windows were very good at blocking sound. However heavy doors slamming and people chatting loudly in the corridors was irritating (not the hotels fault, guests should be more considerate when it's so late!!). We were on the third floor so used the lift a few times - it's very small. You'd have no chance if you are clostraphobic! There are 5 floors so request a lower floor if you are unable to manage lots of stairs. Overall, we'd recommend for being clean, friendly, comfortable & location.

La pulizia dell’hotel era buona, ma abbiamo avuto un problema importante con la camera. Siamo due adulti e abbiamo prenotato una camera per due persone, ma ci è stato assegnato un letto di soli 120x200 cm, una dimensione che a nostro parere è adatta a una sola persona e non a due adulti. Abbiamo spiegato la situazione alla reception e chiesto una soluzione, ma ci è stato risposto che quella era la camera disponibile e che quel letto viene considerato adatto per due persone. Purtroppo non ci è stata offerta alcuna alternativa. La pulizia era buona, ma il comfort della camera e la gestione della nostra richiesta non sono stati all’altezza delle aspettative. Per questo motivo la nostra esperienza non è stata soddisfacente.

Hemos pasado una semana en este hotel y desde el primer día todo ha sido genial. Tanto la habitación como la atención por parte del personal de recepción, que siempre han esta dispuestos a ayudar y siempre con una sonrisa. Si volvemos a Roma, repetiremos en este hotel. Es un tres estrellas superior, pero ya quisieran muchos hoteles 4 estrellas estar a la altura de este hotel. Muchas gracias a todo el equipo.

Llegamos y nos dieron una gran habitación, pero no había conexión wifi por lo que nos cambiaron a una habitación pequeñita, que no era lo que habiamos reservado. El ascensor es diminuto y hay solo uno. El hotel está bien ubicado. Volvería, es una buena opción.

Fica próximo às estações Termini e Repubblica, o que permite ir a pé a vários pontos turísticos. Os quartos são limpos e confortáveis, com toalhas trocadas diariamente e banheiro reformado. Há aquecimento e uma ótima TV. O café da manhã é pago à parte (€10 por pessoa), mas vale a pena pela variedade e por ser à vontade. O elevador é bem pequeno, comporta apenas uma pessoa com uma mala grande por vez. Fiz a reserva pelo Booking e tive contato direto com o hotel pelo chat para tirar dúvidas, fazer pedidos e até solicitar indicação de transfer. A equipe foi sempre muito solícita.

Colosseo 10 minuti, Quirinale 5 minuti, Fontana di Trevi a 15 minuti...ecc ecc ottima accoglienza alla reception, buona colazione con personale di sala molto gentile e disponibile. Nie zrobiłem zdjęć tylko dlatego, że pokuj wyglądał dokładnie jak na stronie. Nie można mu nic zarzucić. Nasz miał 14, bardzo mały, ale można się pomieścić. Czysto i z dobrymi wykończeniami. Osoby z niepełnosprawnością, nasz pokój miał stopień, gdy wchodziło się do łazienki, więc tu może być problem dla niektórych. Poza tym winda jest w genialnej lokalizacji, do metra blisko, do koleseum i panteon, też blisko.

Mieszkaliśmy w tym hotelu trzy doby. Jeśli nie macie wygórowanych wymagań co do wystroju a chcecie mieszkać w samym centrum to bardzo polecam ten hotel. Czysto, cieplutko, cicho, klimatyzacja, czyściutka pościel. Bardzo dobre warunki. Miła obsługa. Polecamy.

Hotel bien situé pres de tout à pied ( fontaine de trevi à 10 minutes à pied) colisee à 15 minutes à pied et palais du pape à 45 minutes mais sur le trajet tellement de chose à voir

Nous avons passé 3 nuits dans cet hôtel, et tout était trés bien. La chambre parfaite avec une tres bonne literie, zéro bruit exterieur, l'hôtellière du petit déjeuner très gentille. Tres bien situé. Merci.

La habitación muy bonita, moderna y súper limpia. A tener en cuenta que es un edificio viejo de un solo y pequeño ascensor. Desayuno cumplidor, la atención es buena, no derrochan simpatía pero bien. Le faltó amenidades en la habitación, solo había jabón para manos, nada de shampoo, acondicionador ni mucho menos cremas o esos detalles que normalmente te dan los hoteles.

Un hotel espectacular 👌 la habitación que me tocó tenía unas vistas al techo que me lleva a otra época, no lo había visto en ninguno de mis viajes, el hotel muy cuidado y limpio y cómodo me gustó la atención que me asía sentir cómodo y el servicio del desayuno estupendo y el personal siempre con una sonrisa ,que me iso la visita a Italia más alegre a mi familia les gustaría volver 🙂

Bra centralt hotell med gångavstånd till det mesta i centrala Rom. Rummet var bra med utsikt över via Nazionale. Sängarna var som ofta på hotell i södra Europa av det fastare slaget. Frukosten helt ok. Det jag saknade på rummet var fler eluttag och krokar att hänga kläder och handdukar på.

El hotel está sobre la avenida, a unas 8 o10 cuadras de la estación de tren termini que viene del aeropuerto. A 4 cuadras aprox del subte. Y del coliseo romano estara a unas 10 cuadras aprox. Se puede ir en colectivo subte o caminando, que si van caminando se aprovecha otros lugares para ver de camino. El hotel está en el primer piso, segundo y tercero. Las habitaciones están bien, teníamos desayuno que no es muy abundante pero si hay variedad, sencillo pero con variedad. Tiene caja de seguridad con código. Muy lindo la decoración.

Mooi gebouw, maar eens binnen was het minder. Hotel heeft een goeie ligging. Kamers zijn verouderd, airco maakt lawaai. Ontbijt is beperkt en personeel van het ontbijt niet vriendelijk. Onze kamer was niet klaar gemaakt voor 3 personen.

Nos hospedamos 4 noches en una habitación que tuvo una cama doble cómoda (muy grande) y la cama extra era un sillón que se abría, aceptable. Al principio no tenían nuestra habitación preparada y no funcionaba la pava eléctrica, pero lo resolvieron rápido. La limpieza buena, todos los días y cambiaban toallas. El desayuno nos pareció muy bueno, buena calidad de todos los alimentos, variedad y buen café. La ubicación ideal para recorrer Roma, tenía miedo que fuera insegura pero para nada. No hubo ruidos salvo alguna noche cuando llegaban otros huéspedes haciendo mucho ruido, pero nada grave. El ascensor es pequeño pero no resultó un problema porque no estaba muy concurrido. Si notamos como un leve temblor en el piso en algunos momentos, no sé si era el subte o que, nada grave tampoco. La atención muy buena. Excelente relación precio calidad. Volveríamos.

El hotel esta muy bien. Buen servicio, buen desayuno. Pero el acceso y la distribución es media complicada, será que nos tocó la última habitación del 5to. Piso, para colmo estaba en reparación el ascensor. La internet tenía poco señal y se cortaba seguido.
