The disappointing fact is that now you have to pay to walk on the open hallway with the pillars along with the museum visit, which used to be free and you had to pay only for the museum and the view from the higher level. We didn't feel that the price was worth paying for the walk we only wanted.

08/06/2026I visited the Monument to Victor Emmanuel on a weekend and it was a really interesting experience. We visited the roof for views of room which was amazing. The architecture is grand and the views from the top are quite stunning. I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

08/06/2026In mid-May, it was undergoing renovation, and a large part of the area around it was closed off, so it could only be viewed from the side. It is a very beautiful and memorable building.

07/06/2026Pretty awesome! I went for the view, expectations exceeded ! GRAND scale, beautiful panoramic terrace, overall a wonderful experience without feeling too crowded. Easy access to restrooms, and the elevator to the top is a lifesaver . Buy the ticket that allows entry anytime of the day.

06/06/2026Deficient worth stopping here, you can go up a few flights of stairs for great views of the area. On the left side in the back you can see the colosseum. You can but tickets to go up to the polar area and the elevator in back takes you to the top.

04/06/2026Terms like bombastic and megalomaniacal might come to mind, but the Italian architect Giuseppe Sacconi must have thought that if you are going to do something, you should do it well and on a grand scale. The Monument to Victor Emmanuel II, better known as il Vittoriano, was erected in honor of the first king of a united Italy, whose colossal equestrian statue occupies the central position of the ensemble. Along with him, the monument also honors the unification of Italy and the ideals the young state held out to its citizens (a grand event befitting the monument's scale). Construction of the monument began in 1885; although not fully completed until 1935, it was inaugurated as early as 1911. The neoclassical design is a clear reference to the glorious past of the Roman Empire. The 1.75-hectare monument is richly decorated with sculptures, the most striking being the equestrian statue of Victor Emmanuel II and the two chariots atop the monument. The imposing white building is situated on the northern flank of the Capitoline Hill and borders Piazza Venezia. Due to its size, color, and central location, the Vittoriano is the quintessential landmark in Rome. Those who climb the stairs to the top terrace are rewarded with a sweeping view of the Eternal City. Inside are the Museo Centrale del Risorgimento di Roma, the Museo Sacrario delle Bandiere delle Forze Armate al Vittoriano, and the crypt containing the sarcophagus of the Unknown Soldier. A colossal monument like the Vittoriano, for which part of the historic center had to make way, has naturally had its detractors. This resulted in mocking nicknames such as "the wedding cake," "the typewriter," and "the dentures." Whatever you think of it, the Vittoriano is a monument you will absolutely remember. In any case, I certainly think it is worth a visit!

It is definately a place worth visiting and is an undeniably jaw-dropping, colossal white marble structure that dominates Rome’s skyline. Built to honor the first king of a unified Italy, its gleaming white Brescian marble stands in stark, dramatic contrast to the earthy tones of the surrounding ancient ruins. While its controversial modern size makes it a love-it-or-hate-it landmark for locals, it is an unmissable architectural marvel that offers some of the most spectacular views in the entire city. It also preserves the Altar of the Fatherland (Italian: Altare della Patria), first an altar of the goddess Roma, then also a shrine of the Italian Unknown Soldier, thus adopting the function of a secular temple consecrated to Italy.

On a busy day it may take a short while before you can take a clear picture of the monument or of yourself in front of the monument, but regardless, even passing by is well worth the view of this wondrous landmark.

03/06/2026As a first-time visitor to Rome, you simply cannot miss this building—mostly because it is so massive and blindingly white that you can see it from almost anywhere in the city. Standing at the base in Piazza Venezia, the sheer scale of the marble architecture and the towering statues is incredibly imposing. It feels completely different from the ancient Roman ruins nearby, offering a sharp, neoclassical contrast.

13/06/2026Hodně krásné místo v Římě, které dokáže každého člověka uchvátit. Památník za sjednocení Itálie určitě stojí za to ho navštívit i vevnitř. Nabídne spoustu krásných autentických vystavených věcí. Pokud chcete jít dovnitř, musíte si koupit vstupenky, dospělý 18€, děti jsou zdarma a studenti ve věku 18-25 zaplatí 5€. Návštěva určitě stojí za to, hlavně ve večerních hodinách, kdy je pomník krásně nasvícený. Bezbariérový přístup není možný. Návštěvu určitě doporučím

13/06/2026le foto non rendono quanto questo monumento sia grande, alla prima vista fa effetto rispetto a tutto ciò che si trova intorno per via delle sue dimensioni. tenuto in ottime condizioni ed è facilmente raggiungibile. si sconsiglia, a meno che non lo si voglia con tutto il cuore, di salire sul terrazzo superiore per via della lunghissima fila, si può godere di un ottimo paesaggio senza fare 30 minuti o più di coda.

12/06/2026Das Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II gehört zu den bekanntesten Wahrzeichen Roms und beeindruckt bereits durch seine gewaltige Architektur aus weißem Marmor. Durch seine zentrale Lage zwischen Piazza Venezia und dem Forum Romanum kommt man bei einem Rom-Besuch kaum daran vorbei. Im Gebäude befinden sich außerdem zwei Museen, die mit dem gleichen Ticket besucht werden können. Wichtig zu wissen: Das Ticket gilt für einen einmaligen Eintritt und ist kein Tagesticket. Wer die Museen verlassen hat, kann später nicht erneut eintreten. Im Eintrittspreis ist auch die Fahrt mit dem Aufzug zur Dachterrasse enthalten. Von dort hat man einen hervorragenden Blick über Rom mit Sehenswürdigkeiten wie dem Kolosseum, dem Forum Romanum und der Altstadt. Allerdings sollte man insbesondere in der Hauptsaison etwas Wartezeit für den Aufzug einplanen. Ein hilfreicher Tipp: Zwischen den beiden Museen befindet sich eine Toilettenanlage. Viele Besucher übersehen, dass der Zugang für Ticketinhaber kostenlos ist. Einfach den Barcode auf dem Ticket am Eingang scannen. Während meines Besuchs haben einige Touristen unnötigerweise für die Toilette bezahlt, weil ihnen diese Möglichkeit nicht erneut eintreten.

06/06/2026O Altar da Pátria é um monumento imponente e super interessante que merece muito a visita. Fica em frente a Piazza Venezia. A entrada para a maior parte do complexo e para os terraços intermediários é totalmente gratuita, o que torna o passeio ainda melhor. O museu interno traz muita história e, conforme você vai subindo as escadarias, a arquitetura impressiona cada vez mais. O grande ponto alto é a vista panorâmica dos terraços: ela é simplesmente belíssima e permite enxergar várias partes de Roma, incluindo o Fórum Romano e o Coliseu por um ângulo único. Para fechar com chave de ouro, há um restaurante/bar charmoso no terraço onde você pode sentar, relaxar e tomar uma boa bebida enquanto aprecia aquela vista inesquecível da Cidade Eterna. Recomendo demais!

06/06/2026Η θέα είναι εξαιρετική. Μπαίνεις χωρίς εισιτήριο στον προαύλιο χώρο αλλά αν θέλεις να πας επάνω με το ασανσέρ θέλει εισιτήριο 18€. Μετάνιωσα που δεν πήγαμε. Επίσης έχει ένα καφέ που αν βρεις θέση μπροστά έχεις απέραντη θέα της Ρώμης.

04/06/2026On ne peut pas rater cet édifice tellement il est immense et imposant au cœur de Rome. C'est fascinant d'apprendre que sa pierre blanche ultra-lumineuse (le marbre de Botticino) a profondément choqué les Romains à l'époque, car elle contrastait drastiquement avec les tons chauds et ocre du reste de la ville ! Qu'on l'adore ou qu'on le trouve trop grand, sa grandeur est tout simplement spectaculaire à voir en vrai. C'est aussi à la base de ce monument gigantesque que repose la tombe du Soldat inconnu (Il Milite Ignoto), veillée jour et nuit par deux gardes devant une flamme éternelle très émouvante à observer. Un arrêt incontournable à Piazza Venezia !

03/06/2026O monumento é muito lindo realmente, bela vista panorâmica da cidade com acesso por elevador. Porém, não tem muito o que se ver na parte de dentro, nada muito grandioso sendo exibido, então eu não pagaria 18 euros para acessar. Só visitei porque no feriado de 02/06 é gratuito

Otoczony majestatycznymi budowlami plac zachwyca rozmachem i elegancją, a każdy jego kamień zdaje się opowiadać historię minionych wieków. W promieniach słońca marmury lśnią jak perły, a wieczorem miejsce nabiera romantycznego uroku. To punkt, w którym spotykają się drogi podróżników, marzycieli i miłośników sztuki. 26/06/2016在外即無敵美景 大概有一兩次經過此地，算是意大利的光輝，伊馬努埃爾國王紀念碑在羅馬文尼察廣場，氣勢恢宏，一看就是意大利的國家地標。後面的羅馬廊柱突出了國王的雕像。建築精美細膩，體現了意大利文藝風範。且是雄偉、壯觀的偉大建築。遍地古蹟、處處有精美雕刻的羅馬，卻無法忽略它的存在。雄偉、壯觀、雕刻精美，雖然是現代建築藝術，但完全傳承了文藝復興時代的精神，美得令人嘆為觀止！英雄紀念碑，獨立紀念碑之類的地方，一般人俗稱羅馬的現代美，一個巨大的奶油蛋糕 維托里亞諾（義大利語：Vittoriano）位於義大利羅馬威尼斯廣場和卡比托利歐山之間，用以紀念統一義大利的第一位國王維托里奧·埃馬努埃萊二世。由朱塞佩·薩科尼（Giuseppe Sacconi）設計於1895年，雕塑由全義大利的雕塑家雕刻。1911年開工，完成於1935年。 紀念堂用布雷西亞的純白大理石建造，設有宏偉的階梯，高大的科林斯圓柱，噴泉，巨大的埃馬努埃萊二世騎馬雕像，和兩尊雙輪戰車上的女神維多利亞雕像。這座建築寬135米，高70米。如果包括雙輪戰車和維多利亞，高度達到81米。建築的底層設有義大利統一博物館。 在羅馬必做的二十件事—紀念館 威尼斯廣場位於羅馬的中央，不像圖拉真廣場那樣沉悶 威尼斯廣場周圍具有一棟又一棟的大樓，人來人往、車水馬龍的 最多人潮車潮的地方 威尼斯廣場的南方有一棟氣勢驚人的白色大宮殿，任何人都不可能忽略它 甚至可以說在羅馬的任何地方都看得到這棟建築 維托里奧·埃馬努埃萊二世紀念館Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II (Vittoriano)， 這位名字很長的仁兄是義大利統一後的第一任國王，過世之後，繼任者為他建立這座紀念館 典雅的羅馬格格不入，遠看像打字機，近看像結婚蛋糕 建在原卡比托利歐山的朱庇特神廟遺址上，這難免會讓考古學家痛心 法西斯頭子墨索里尼的面子，還在旁邊蓋了一條大道(帝國廣場大道) 把剛發掘出來的帝國廣場遺址又再埋回地下(難怪地鐵這麼難蓋) 左右各有一座雙輪戰車，上立女神維多利亞雕像 今日紀念館已做為博物館，在地下室安置了第一次世界大戰時留下的無名戰士遺體，還有武裝警衛看護 搭電梯上到上層的露臺欣賞羅馬和帝國論壇最壯麗的景色 喜歡登高望遠的遊客不要錯過，畢竟要在羅馬找到那麼高的建築並不容易 卡比托利歐博物館，在這棟建築物的南邊，走過去只要五分鐘 那是由米開朗基羅設計的議會廣場及階梯庭園，並按照朱庇特神廟圖樣所建，現在裡面收藏許多珍貴的古羅馬石雕
