Cute spot for delicious Italian fare - loved the pumpkin ravioli, the pici with anchovies, the bruschetta and the stuffed zucchini flowers. Lovely service by the staff, and very cute vibe (indoors and outdoors) - the tables are a bit small and we were a bit packed with the tables near us (hence 4* for atmosphere), though this is expected in Milan.

After having a fantastic lunch at La Libera last summer, i decided it would be the perfect place for dinner on my one night in Milan. I was completely correct. We had a phenomenal meal, with perfect wine pairings, great bread, fresh pasta, and dessert that capped off a perfect evening. You will not be disappointed by the food but even more important is the fantastic and welcoming service. Leonardo took excellent care of us, with great recommendations and a great attitude. If I was staying longer I’d go back again but will just have to wait until next summer to enjoy. Gracie Mille!!!

We had an outstanding meal here before heading home from Italy. Everything was excellent start to finish - had lovely pumpkin ravioli and a nice osso bouco. Server paced everything perfectly to make the meal and enjoyable experience. My wife had a lovely and delicious steak with her dinner. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was absolutely delicious! We highly recommend it! Our only advice is: don’t make the same mistake we did and go without a reservation on weekends because in our case the table was next to the bar and the atmosphere was lively and a bit tense rather than relaxing and comfortable. This was the most wretched restaurant we experienced in four days in Milano: terrible grumpy service, a horrible pseudo-risotto that was like a flat and HARD oven-warmed polenta piece tasting of styrofoam and smelling like cheap perfume—totally inedible; a bearable but small portion of spinach salad with goat cheese, two or three walnuts and poor-quality bacon. Plus water: for outrageous 50€. How can you dare to offer such terrible „food“ to anyone?????

We visited La Libera twice with our family and felt very welcome each time. The owner personally greeted us on both visits. During our first visit, we only waited a few minutes, and on the second visit we had a reservation. Fabio, our waiter, was excellent both times – attentive, friendly, and professional. Overall, all staff were very friendly and accommodating. The carbonara was the best we had in Milan, and the overall quality was very high. Everything we ordered was consistently excellent in quality. Definitely a place we would return to.

We had a very nice dinner at La Libera! The food was good, especially the pasta with fish and squid that was super tender. The goat wasn’t that special and it was unnecessary to order potatoes (that also came a bit cold) since the dish included potatoes already. The service was very nice but a bit confused. One thing I disliked was that we were offered to get 4 zucchini flowers instead of 3 since we were sharing. Then they took 5€ extra despite the dish was 14€ for 3 flowers. A small but unnecessary thing. The explanations should be more clear but otherwise it’s a very cozy place.

If you are looking for a meal-don’t come here. Grilled calamari and lamb was tasteless and incredibly expensive. Additionally, we were sit in the middle table and all the servers were hitting our chairs when passing by whiteout apologising. :(

It doesn’t have a very large dining area, but thanks to the decor and lighting, it offers a pleasant atmosphere. Although the tables are small and placed close to each other, creating a slight sense of crowding, it is not disturbing at all. The service is well organized, and the staff are true professionals who know their job well.Since it was our first visit, we created a varied menu for tasting purposes, and we were satisfied with all the dishes. For this reason, I won’t make specific dish recommendations so as not to influence others’ choices. The restaurant also has a very extensive wine list.

We had to wait at a tiny entrance along with other people to get some attention from the staff and finally get seated for quite a while, even if we had a booking. The whole restaurant smelled very fishy. We got baccala antipasto (fine), gnocchi (good) and filetto (average), a dolce and a bottle of wine. It was all fine but not even a dish i will remember. There are too many table, so the waiters have to space to walk, especially if you get a bottle of wine and they put a bucket beside you. Yes, the place is old and you can feel all the atmosphere here. But I was not very impressed

We were lucky and were able to get a table without reservation. We could only stay for almost two hours before the people came in that reserved which was enough for us. The waiter who attended us was so funny and kind to us. If anyone gets Domenieu, you will have a great waiter who will help you with the wine and getting a great experience of the restaurant. Their wines are very good and their pastas excellent too, enough to eat too

We’ve been here several times in the past and always adored the place—the atmosphere, the experience: entering, going down a few steps, and then heaven—the light, the shadows, the ceiling, the wall of wine bottles! But this time, we were really disappointed. The wine was overpriced, as is everything in today’s Italy, especially in overtouristic Brera. The salad was soggy, and the pasta overly voluminous. One of the waiters was really professional, the others overworked, tired, underpaid, probably a combination of this all.

Very disappointing experience. We entered the restaurant intending to have lunch, but before we even had the chance to sit down, a member of the staff made assumptions about us based on our appearance. Because we look younger than our age, he commented to a colleague that we were "school kids on vacation," apparently believing we wouldn't understand Italian. Unfortunately for him, we are Italian and understood everything. Hearing staff openly judge customers like this was extremely rude and unprofessional. We immediately decided to leave without ordering anything. No customer should feel judged or discussed by the staff the moment they walk through the door. Respect and courtesy cost nothing. Sadly, this restaurant failed at the most basic level of hospitality. /// Siamo entrati nel locale con l'intenzione di pranzare, ma ce ne siamo andati prima ancora di sederci. Appena entrati, un membro dello staff ha iniziato a commentare con un collega il nostro aspetto, dando per scontato che fossimo "ragazzini in vacanza appena usciti da scuola" solo perché dimostriamo meno anni della nostra età. La parte più divertente è che sembrava convinto che non capissimo quello che stava dicendo. Siamo italiani. Abbiamo capito ogni parola. Che fosse una battuta o meno, commentare e giudicare dei clienti in loro presenza è poco professionale e del tutto fuori luogo. L'ospitalità dovrebbe iniziare dal momento in cui una persona entra nel locale, non dopo che ha speso dei soldi. La cosa più deludente non è stata l'assunzione in sé, ma la naturalezza con cui è stata fatta davanti a noi. Se questo è il modo in cui vengono accolti i clienti prima ancora di sedersi, non dà certo una grande impressione.

Il ristorante La Libera è uno dei peggiori in cui sia mai stata. All’inizio i camerieri sembravano cordiali, ma poi quello che ci ha servito è stato estremamente scortese. Né il servizio né il cibo erano di qualità. Si sono rifiutati di dividere il conto dicendo che c’erano troppi scontrini. La qualità dei piatti era scarsa, un classico locale acchiappa-turisti. I pochi piatti che erano decenti sono stati rovinati dal cattivo servizio e dal pessimo atteggiamento del personale. Il risotto al salto è un vero furto. ** Vorrei anche rispondere a quanto detto dal ristorante: non abbiamo lasciato una stella perché non volevate dividere il conto in modo preciso. Non è questo il problema. Il vero problema è stato il comportamento del cameriere e la qualità del cibo. Alcuni piatti erano buoni, come la pasta alla carbonara e un altro piatto, ma le polpette e il risotto al salto** erano decisamente scadenti. Inoltre, quando abbiamo chiesto il conto, già deluse dal cibo, il cameriere è stato molto maleducato e ci ha detto di arrangiarci da sole a fare i conti buttandoci lo scontrino. È stata proprio la sua attitudine a rovinare completamente l’esperienza. Anche se il pasto non era stato perfetto, un servizio professionale avrebbe potuto migliorare la situazione. Invece, il suo comportamento ha peggiorato tutto. Quindi no, la recensione negativa non è legata al conto, ma alla scarsa qualità del cibo e soprattutto al modo in cui siamo state trattate.

Je me permets de répondre au commentaire précédent, car j’étais présent lors de ce repas. Contrairement à ce qui est indiqué dans votre réponse, nous avons bien exprimé nos remarques sur place, à plusieurs reprises, et sur différents points. Malheureusement, aucune solution ni geste n’a été proposé en retour : - Une entrée de lardo à 24€, composée de seulement 3 tranches de lardo et 5 de pancetta. - Un vin qui évoquait davantage du vinaigre - Une salade servie dans un état que l’on peut qualifier de “cuite” Dans ce contexte, il serait sans doute plus constructif de prendre en considération les retours faits directement en salle, plutôt que de répondre publiquement qu’il est préférable de s’exprimer de vive voix, ce que nous avons fait.

Une étoile, et encore, c’est généreux. Je suis rarement sorti d’un restaurant avec une telle impression de malaise. Dès le début, nous avons été installés à une table tellement serrée qu’on avait l’impression de dîner avec les voisins. Aucun espace, aucune intimité, juste une salle bondée et un niveau de bruit assourdissant du début à la fin. Le vin servi n’a rien arrangé : très acide, âcre, franchement désagréable. Quant aux plats, ils avaient tous un goût et une texture qui donnaient l’impression de manger des plats industriels réchauffés plutôt qu’une cuisine italienne maison. Le pire reste la salade cuite servie à un de mes amis : incompréhensible et franchement immangeable. Nous avions commandé une assiette de lardo di Colonnata, mais elle était composée en majorité de pancetta, avec seulement quelques tranches de lard. Ce n’est pas forcément un problème… à condition que ce soit clairement indiqué. Quand on commande un produit précis, on s’attend à recevoir ce qui est annoncé. Le plus difficile à accepter reste le rapport qualité-prix. Les tarifs sont ceux d’une très bonne adresse milanaise, mais l’expérience n’a absolument pas suivi. Il y a énormément de restaurants à Milan : celui-ci est, de loin, celui que je recommanderais le moins.

Tutto molto buono,cucina milanese ottima ,da provare baccalà con carciofi. Unica pecca(ma solo perché noi non sapevamo e non ci hanno avvisato) che alle 21,15 hanno voluto di liberare il tavolo perché c'era secondo turno. Peccato

Purtroppo non è più la Libera del suo propietario storico la cucina decisamente decaduta chiesto tagliolini allo scampi e gamberi arrivate tagliatelle crude cotte nel pomodoro e burro e 1 micro scampo decisamente da non tornare....

Il cibo può essere anche buono, ma se l'ambiente non è confortevole non ti invita a ritornare. Decisamente troppi tavoli rispetto alla dimensione del locale. Dovrebbero togliere almeno 15 coperti e allora diventa un buon ristorante. La cotoletta, buona, ma allo stesso prezzo la trovo in altri ristoranti milanesi più accoglienti, meno rumorosi e caotici dove posso anche alzarmi, se ne ho voglia. Li io ero incastrata senza alcuna possibilità di muovermi e con in testa i cappotti appesi al muro 5 cm dietro di me e il sedere del cane del tavolo vicino a pochi centimetri dai piedi! Mah

Cibo non male, peccato per il servizio. I camerieri vanno super di fretta, come se si dovesse mangiare con il cronometro, mentre stiamo finendo di mangiare chiedono se vogliamo i dolci.
