29/05/2026I’ll start by saying that the location is great; it’s very central and you can walk to most tourist spots. I also only stayed there two nights and didn’t go to the rooftop bar or their events which I’m sure would’ve been fun. My main qualm however is that on my second night I was woken up to my bed shaking as the man in the bunk below me was masturbating. Obviously, this is not the fault of the hostel or the staff, but, when I was checking out I told the male receptionist who laughed and said “it happens.” The female receptionist looked concerned and apologised. She told me when that happens that I should let them know. I didn’t really have a response because that was me, letting them know. Then they sent me on my way with no follow up. It felt like a weird response and I was surprised a chain hostel like this doesn’t have policies in place for sexual deviance. It reminded me why I usually only book female dorms; the only reason I didn’t this time is because it was more expensive. I don’t want this to come across as a complaint towards the staff. They were kind and informative throughout my stay. I think management just hadn’t equipped them with any plan for a complaint like mine. Some other issues included the very shallow pillows, a lack of places to work or relax, no kitchen, and large school groups that took up the lobby as there was no space for them. It didn’t feel like a hostel where you could make friends or relax but more just a place to sleep and immediately leave.

23/05/2026Hostal wasn’t bad. However, we do have some complaints. For starters, we had no hand towel in our room. We understand renting out the towels, but having a hand towel is something that should be given. The shower in our room was very gross, and it smelled like a moldy drain. The hotel advertises an inclusive environment for guests, yet sitting on the roof top is only available if you order a drink when it’s busy. I don’t drink, but my friends do, yet I was told to leave because I wasn’t ordering anything even though my friends were. The workers were very rude about it. I understand they were busy, but I wasn’t even allowed to sit with my friends on the roof top because I wasn’t drinking anything. There were also so many kids on the floors during our stay causing a rukus during the night. There was no staff available to mediate this behavior, which was irritating while we were trying to rest. Also, the jacuzzi and pool weren’t open. Overall, for the price we paid, we expected more.

18/05/2026Before check-in time, they had the ENTIRE kitchen and lobby area privately reserved for a children's soccer group trip. Mind you, this is the only common area for everyone in the hotel. They are also taking over the WHOLE lounge area on the upstairs community room to do team bonding drills. I am typing this from the floor of the lobby, where about 10 others are sitting with their luggage. While the instructor is yelling drills and instructions of the soccer trip, they turn to the people waiting for their rooms and say, "you can stay sitting here, but we are playing a game (with 10-year-olds), so it might get loud.". it is the only place to sit while we wait for our rooms!!!!!! We cannot even access the water dispenser that is for the whole hotel due to the soccer group's private reservation in the kitchen. When I asked where I could fill my water bottle, they said the public bathroom sink.... mind you, there is an empty bar that they did not even suggest for us. Furthermore, you cannot sit to eat any outside food you buy ANYWHERE. You can't even sit in the bar unless you buy food there. This hotel did a horrible job with the layout of this hotel, not accommodating anyone else in this hotel looking for a normal stay. The workers are rude and very unhelpful. I will never stay in another Generator hostel/hotel again!

17/05/2026Very disappointing experience because of poor communication and unprofessional staff. During my stay, the airline delivered my lost luggage to the hostel on my second day. However, nobody from the hostel informed me that my bag had arrived. For 3 days, I stayed without my belongings, buying clothes, medication, and other essentials while constantly contacting the airline and worrying about my luggage. I checked out and travelled to Valencia, only to later discover from the airline that my bag had been at the hostel the whole time. I then had to travel back from Valencia to Madrid at my own expense just to collect my luggage. What makes this worse is that the hostel refused to take any responsibility or help with the extra expenses caused by their mistake. This entire situation could have been avoided with a simple message or phone call from reception. I hope management improves its customer service and communication because this caused me a lot of unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

10/06/2026Hace unos días pasé por el hotel para pedir información y me llevé una grata sorpresa con la atención. A pesar de que no era huésped, Sandra, en recepción, me orientó muy bien sobre los cambios en el transporte público y todo lo relacionado con la visita del Papa. Se tomó el tiempo de explicarme todo y eso se agradece bastante. También seguí su recomendación de visitar el bar de la terraza y la experiencia fue muy buena. Víctor me atendió de manera muy cordial y estuvo pendiente en todo momento. Da gusto encontrar personas tan amables. Definitivamente, cuando vuelva a Madrid, reservaré con tiempo para poder alojarme aquí.

07/06/2026Les serveurs étaient au top sur le rooftop. Très bons cocktails et en plus servi avec un sourir. L’hôtel et situé en hypercentre donc tout est à côté. Victor un des serveurs qui était au top. Ca se voyait qu’il kiffe son travail. Je recommande !

El ambiente es excepcional: elegante, vibrante y acogedor desde el primer momento. Sin embargo, lo que realmente hizo que la noche fuera tan especial fue el servicio impecable. Un agradecimiento muy especial a Denise y Danny Frias detrás de la barra. Su profesionalidad, amabilidad y atención al detalle elevaron toda la experiencia. Fueron más allá de lo esperado para hacernos sentir bienvenidos y se aseguraron de que todo fuera perfecto durante toda la noche. Cócteles excelentes, vistas impresionantes, un ambiente increíble y una hospitalidad excepcional. Ya estoy deseando volver, y puedo decir con total seguridad que la próxima vez que esté en Madrid, este será uno de los primeros lugares a los que regresaré. 02/06/2026Aufgrund der Nähe zur Gravier und der schönen Atmosphäre. Hier muss ich schon echt sagen, dass es ein top Lokal ist. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr beruhigt und locker, was man auch unter den Arbeitern merkt. Generell ist es ein schönes Lokal, um abends was trinken zu gehen. Passen Sie jedoch auf die Preise auf, denn die können in die Höhe schießen. Ist aber auch normal in Madrid.

El jacuzzi no servia pero me dieron de cortesia una bebida en la terraza el cual el atardecer es muy lindo. La zona del baño la regadera estaba dañada el cual me comunique y me dicen que no puede hacer nada (lo realizaba como recomendacion)

27/05/2026Las habitaciones muy limpias y amplias. Podría mejorarse el espacio de guardado, el cajón es un poco incómodo y ruidoso. Hay sitio para alternativas mejores. El personal muy atento, tanto personalmente como en las consultas previas telefónicas. La terraza es muy linda pero cierra pronto. Una pena que el jacuzzi no estuviera habilitado.

26/05/2026El hostal tiene amenidades difíciles de igualar , realmente es una experiencia. Es importante mencionar que la limpieza no es el fuerte de este hostal , las habitaciones son demasiado pequeñas , la que me tocó a mí con casi nula ventilación, por lo cual había ciertos olores a humano , nada grave pues los chicos con los que compartí eran limpios , pero aún así se podía sentir bastante calor en la habitación. El servicio de diez , realmente un equipo preparado para atender turistas , se preocupan por cada detalle y te hacen sentir seguro de poder preguntar cualquier cosa. Respecto al desayuno buffet , Renalyn , Jeiko y Norby fueron muy amables y serviciales , diez de diez. Si buscas un hostel donde puedas divertirte , conocer muchísima gente y no te importe demasiado la habitación , esta es la opción

25/05/2026En cartel pone 50% en pizza lunes y miércoles y al pedir deciden que ya se había terminado la oferta sin especificar ahí el horario en nada. Se había terminado sobre las 19 o 20 sin saber ellos mismos bien el horario. Después al pedirle la pizza le hemos comentado que estaba embarazada y que si podía cambiar el jamón serrano ya que no lo cocinaban, por jamón York o peperoni a lo que comenta que no se iba a cambiar ningún ingrediente. Pocas ganas de trabajar y de tener clientes ya que el local estaba vacío.

23/05/2026Positiv - Das Hostel ist in zentraler Lage - Es ist stylisch gestaltet Negativ - Das Früstück war eher bescheiden, es gab nichtmal Eier - Bei mir im Zimmer hat die Klimaanlage nicht funktioniert, es war abgrundtief heiß - Es gab dort viele Schulklassen. Schüler sind die ganze Zeit rumgerannt oder haben Klopfstreiche bei uns im Zimmer gemacht. Das ist nicht per se schuld des Hostels. Aber es wäre gut, Vorkehrungen dagegen zu treffen. - sein Gepäck vor dem Check in zu verwahren kostet - auch für den Hotelgast - 6€ . Es wäre besser, statt des kostenlosen Willkommensgetränk kostenlose Verwahrmöglichkeiten anzubieten - es ist relativ teuer - Es wurden keine Handtücher gestellt

22/05/2026La chica de la recepción Denise muy atenta excelente. En el resto Que rico todo! Las croquetas 😋 me atendió Renalyn muy simpática y cordial. Lo malo es que unas de las razones que reservé fue por la terraza y el hidromasaje, el cual ESTÁ fuera de SERVICIO- y tampoco dejan pasar a Tomar sol a las reposeras . Osea en 5 días de mi estadía que estoy espero que lo solucionen y poder disfrutar ☹️

20/05/2026J'ai passé un bon séjour à Madrid dans cette auberge . J'ai trouvé les gens à l'accueil très sympathique et à l'écoute malgré la barrière de la langue . Par contre j'ai trouvé pas adapter que les chambres soient mixte. Le jacuzzi pas fonctionnel . Et le fait de pas avoir un espace pour cuisiner . Mais dans l'ensemble correct.

19/05/2026Un lugar maravilloso en el centro de Madrid. Lleno de vida y de gente joven que están encantados de ayudar y de hacer tu estancia lo más agradable posible. A la entrada Denise y Mota me ayudaron mucho con la reserva y lo hicieron con una sonrisa sincera en sus labios. Un 10 de lugar!

Siempre dispuesto a ayudar, resolvió todas mis dudas con una sonrisa e hizo que la experiencia en el hotel fuera mucho más cómoda y agradable. Por otro lado, la ubicación del hotel es muy buena, muy céntrico y confortable. ¡Muchas gracias por todo!

13/05/2026Très bon emplacement, les chambres sont spacieuses et propres. Points négatifs : Petit déjeuner : très peu de choix, produits surgelés... L'une des jeunes filles de l'accueil qui n'est pas du tout aimable et ne fait pas d'efforts avec les touristes. Le rooftop fermé le soir

10/01/2022No es mi primera vez en Generator Madrid, por eso repito siempre. La habitación muy limpia y súper tranquila. Mota, el recepcionista de noche fue muy agradable y simpático en el check in y check out, ya que salí muy temprano a la mañana. Otra estancia genial, gracias!
