You will love everything thing about Hotel Trevi. The location is incredible, we walked to the Vatican .about 35 min, and shopped the entire way. Next day walked to the Colleseum, 20 min walk..shopped, and ate. NOTE TO AMERICANS: When you're dropped off at the intersection, stay to the side, and have 1 person go and check in, and then come back to you. Hotel check is on one street, and your room will be on another. So dont move after your taxi drops you off until you get your building/room number. It will save you the Italian walk of shame, dragging luggage over the cobble stone streets..in front of 50,000 tourists..No Joke.!

I realize it is an old building which has natural limitations, but loved the proximity to Trevi Fountain and the inner city. But the rooms were extremely small so could not fully unpack due to lack of space.

This is ALL about location - you can’t get much more centrally located than this! This hotel consists of rooms spread over about 15 separate buildings around the Trevi area. Mine was a block from the fountain. Great central location to walk just about anywhere in the city center and not too far away from the Vatican or Trastevere - I walked both and it was about 2-2.5 miles each way from here. The room was fairly small but as a solo traveler I didn’t mind as I didn’t spend much time there. I had breakfast included and the choices were great each morning, I just wish it had opened a little earlier. I couldn’t take advantage of it most mornings because my tours started well before the breakfast opened. The desk staff were EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. They gave me lots of great recommendations and helped carry my bag up to my room. The lift in my building was TINY (as expected in historic buildings) so I usually took the stairs. The entry to my room was very low and I definitely bumped my head a few times!

Chose this hotel solely for its amazing location and charm. When we arrived we were let do all the usual, stuff, like sign forms and hand over passports, give credit card details etc for 15 minutes. Once all that was complete and only then were we told that, there was an incident with our rooms and they would be putting us up in a sister hotel. I asked what was the supposed incident that happened and he refused to tell me. Im guessing they double booked. I would have preferred honesty! The other hotel was supposed to be an upgrade but it certainly wasn't even close to an upgrade. Also a higher city tax(I didnt mind that). The reception atvthe sister hotel were not courteous or friendly one bit. When leaving our booked hotel we got told our rooms were ready in the sister hotel, but one of our group had to wait an hour. It just left a sour taste in our mouth.

The service is excellent. If all you wish to do in your room is sleep and store your souvenirs, it's a great option. It is very central but that means it's noisy until late. If you want to relax in your room during the day, you may not be comfortable as it only has a bed, a desk and a desk chair. Both the communal breakfast room and our room required us to use stairs (despite requesting a room with no stairs). This was difficult as I have mobility issues.

We stayed here this weekend, May 2nd to 4th. They let us check in early which was amazing! The staff were very friendly and even offered us the choice between two rooms. Once choosing the room, we found it was very comfortable, spacious and had everything you could need for a city break. Comfy bed, great pillows, good air con, lovely shower and very cute balcony. The location was amazing, literally a stones throw away from the Trevi Fountain. I would recommend this place completely. Thank you again to the staff at Hotel Trevi! You made our stay in Rome so pleasurable! ❤️

Our stay at Hotel Trevi was amazing! The hotel was fabulous, in a great location, and clean and inviting but what made this hotel so great is the staff! They were smiling all the time and greeted us every time they saw us. They constantly asked if we needed anything they were so kind and thoughtful, we will definitely be back! Terrible hotel. Customer service was okay but rooms are awful. It is rare you get anything like in the pictures. They will lead you out of the main hotel building to a nearby building away from the reception. The room and bathroom were extremely tiny even for Rome's standards. It had one tiny window that directly faced the garbage and another wall so there was absolutely no light coming into the room. Walls r so thin you can hear your neighbors taking a shower or even having a normal conversation. Many hotels in the same are have similar pricing and much better rooms. I left early and stayed at a different hotel. Please do not fall this scam of a hotel.

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was profoundly disappointing due to both the state of the room and the behavior of the staff. ​Staff & Service: The most distressing part of our stay was the interaction with a staff member named Abeer. Her attitude was consistently arrogant and confrontational. When we raised concerns or asked for assistance, we were told to "manage on our own"—an incredible response to hear in a service-oriented establishment. Furthermore, the extreme language barrier made any attempt at professional communication impossible. Abeer demeanor was entirely ill-suited for the hospitality industry. ​Cleanliness & Hygiene: The housekeeping standards were shockingly poor: ​Linens: The bedsheets did not appear to have been laundered or changed from the previous guest, which is a major sanitary concern. ​Deep Cleaning: There was a thick accumulation of dust across all surfaces and significant filth/debris under the beds. ​Maintenance: It was clear that the room had not been properly inspected or cleaned before our check-in. ​Verdict: A hotel should be a place of comfort and professional service. Instead, we were met with a hostile environment and unsanitary conditions. I strongly advise management to review their training protocols

Great location, steps from the Trevi Fountain, 8 min walk to Hop On Hop Off, and within walking distance to many of Rome destinations. Hotel staff, especially Roberto, are very attentive and responsive. The room was clean, bed comfortable. There are multiple Trevi Hotel locations and the building we were in was 300 years old, no elevator. If you have issues climbing stairs, inquire in advance. Overall, very comfortable stay.

An excellent stay in a great location. The family room was very comfortable and the hotel staff accommodating and polite. The breakfast was varied and delicious every morning. The location was perfect for getting around the historic centre of Rome. Noise was to be expected in this location later at night, but the convenience of the location and the comfort of the room more than made up for it. I would stay again.

The room was clean and house keeping came every day. The location of the hotel is convenient because it's around food vendors, tourist shops, close to Trevi Fountain, has bus stops near by and is only a 15/20 minute walk to the Colosseum. Late Check-Out was also free for an extra hour which came in handy. It was a bit confusing that reception wasn't in the same building as our hotel room. We had to walk down two streets to get to our room and it was like an apartment complex, which was fine because it was something new for us to experience. I also wouldn't say this is a "Boutique Hotel" either, the only thing that made it colourful was the large paintings on the walls. The rest of the walls were needing a new paint and gloss because there was loads of scratches and marking on them from previous visitors. We also didn't have hot water one night, so we couldn't shower either, the night we did have hot water was fine because it staid that way and the pressure was fantastic. Ohh and you have to pay for the "Complimentary" water in the fridge which is a scam. Why put it in our room if it costs something? Thankfully, we didn't touch it, but of all of the places I have been in the world, charging for water is a first. Overall, it's an ok hotel, good for the price and worth staying at to say it's near by a tourist Hot Spot in Rome. Just be careful because they do ask for Debit/Credit Cared details just incase you damage your room too. I know that some hotels do this, but with my experience of travelling it's becoming more and more less common and CAN lead to being scammed. (NOT saying this hotel will do this by the way) Soon as we got into our room, we took pictures and a video of a walk through of our room just incase my card was charged.

2 Stars – Many Preventable Issues **Update to Management Response** Thank you for taking the time to respond to my review. Regarding the air conditioning, I found your explanation about municipal regulations interesting. The evening prior to our stay, we were at another hotel just down the street where the air conditioning was fully operational. In reference to the hotel’s layout, I do acknowledge that the description indicates the property is a “diffuse hotel.” However, providing guests with a clear map of room locations in advance—especially noting approximate walking distances—would greatly improve the guest experience. After traveling with luggage over cobblestone streets, it was quite frustrating to learn that our assigned room required us to backtrack a significant distance to a building we had already passed. Regarding the Wi-Fi, I appreciate your assurance that it was checked. Unfortunately, on the evening of our stay, it was not functioning, and a staff member confirmed the issue at that time. While I understand the desire to stand behind your services, our experience that night was that the connection was unavailable. I recognize that businesses aim to protect their reputation, and I also respect the effort to respond publicly. My intention in leaving the review was simply to share our experience honestly and to provide feedback that may help improve communication and logistics for future guests - End of Response*** Original Review: Unfortunately, our stay involved multiple issues that could have easily been avoided. Issue #1: Disorganized Check-In We arrived at 3 PM for check-in along with many other guests, and the lobby quickly became crowded. Staff instructed everyone to sit down while they assisted guests one by one. However, as more people walked in, some began cutting ahead, and the staff seemed to lose track of who had arrived first. I ultimately had to stand up and point out that there was an actual line of people waiting because the receptionist started helping guests who had just walked in. The wait time ended up being over an hour, and the process felt very unorganized. Issue #2: Room Location & No Wi-Fi The rooms are scattered throughout the surrounding neighborhood rather than located inside the main hotel building, which felt more like an Airbnb setup. We had to walk through the streets with our luggage to reach our first room. While the room itself was beautiful and modern, it had no Wi-Fi and no phone service. When we returned to the lobby to report the issue, the male receptionist told us he was already aware that Wi-Fi did not work in that specific room. It was frustrating to be assigned a room with a known issue. We were instructed to walk back, gather our luggage, and return to the lobby to be reassigned. So we had to repack, walk back down the street with our bags, and start the process over again. Issue #3: Second Room – No AC/Heat By the time we were assigned a second room, we were already frustrated. This room was even farther away and located inside a basement-level area. An assistant helped with our luggage, which we appreciated. We dropped our bags and went out for dinner. When we returned around 2 AM, we discovered that the AC/heating units were not functioning. The room was extremely hot and humid. We had to open a window—which had no screen—and hope nothing came inside overnight. It made for a very uncomfortable night. The next morning, we decided to check out. I shared my concerns with the receptionist, who apologized, and I appreciated that. However, I feel strongly that it should be clearly stated in the listing that some rooms are not located in the main hotel building. Additionally, guests should not be assigned rooms without Wi-Fi—especially when they are underground and have no cell service. Reliable Wi-Fi and cell reception would have at least helped offset the long and frustrating check-in process. Overall, the rooms themselves are beautiful and modern in design, but the operational and communication issues significantly impacted our experience

Our experience at this property was extremely disappointing and stressful, especially as we were travelling with a 9-month-old baby. The room provided was not in the main hotel building as expected, but in a separate building several minutes away, which was not clearly stated during booking. The accommodation did not match the photos or description and was much smaller than what we paid for. More concerning were the safety issues. The room contained internal steps, exposed equipment under a heating fan blowing hot air toward the bed, and other hazards that made it unsuitable and unsafe for a baby. Cleanliness was below standard, there were no proper blankets (only flat sheets), and the room had almost no natural light, with just a small ceiling window and a malfunctioning electric blind. Access was also difficult, with a very small lift that did not feel safe, and breakfast required moving between floors in this lift. Overall, the accommodation did not meet reasonable expectations for comfort, safety, or accuracy of description. We had to leave after only a few hours and find alternative accommodation, losing a full day of our trip. We were still charged local taxes despite not staying which they wouldn’t refund once we left the hotel and wasn’t staying there any longer , they never made it clear when making the booking that we would be charge this amount when arriving to the hotel at reception. This was not the accommodation we booked or paid for, and families with babies should be particularly cautious.

Got early access to room after long early flight. Our room was a small double and was quite small but you dont go to Rome to stay in your room. I would recommend this hotel.

Overall, we were satisfied with our stay at the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, and the central location is definitely a big advantage. Unfortunately, our experience at breakfast significantly affected our impression. The behavior of one of the staff members, Natalia, was unacceptable. After only about 15 minutes — and before we had even finished our coffee — we were asked to leave the breakfast area. This felt rushed and unwelcoming and is not what we would expect from a hotel of this standard.

My recent 3-night city break was made all the more enjoyable by this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was fantastic, putting everything right on your doorstep. We arrived early and were delighted to find our room was ready. Although check-out was at 11 am, I wasn't feeling well, and the receptionist was wonderful allowing us a late check-out. Her kindness really made a difference.

The worst Hôtel experience I’ve had in my entire life we booked a suite (the most expensive option they had). Honestly the hotel wasn’t bad but not once but TWICE hotel employees walked into our room with out knocking and the second time it was a male employee and my girlfriend was in a state of undress. Rightfully so she no longer felt safe staying there so we let the hotel staff know what had occurred and asked for them to refund our 2 upcoming nights NOT the nights we already stayed. I kid you not they literally and I mean literally laughed at me. And too top it off there solution was giving us an 11 euro bottle of wine. DO NOT STAY HERE! : 1/22/26 UPDATE. Under my review the hotel denied any wrong doing. They came twice and entered my room without knocking and sexually harassed my partner. Based off there response and not even apologizing it is clear that this is a terrible hotel and one you are not safe in. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Nosotros alquilamos este hotel por Despegar, y si bien los terminos y condiciones decia que habia una posibilidad de hospedarte en un lugar a 100 metros del hotel, el hotel tiene 10/15 propiedades a mas de 2 cuadras del lobby donde te va mandando. A nosotros nos mandaron a 2, casi 3 cuadras, a un 4to piso SIN ASCENSOR!! Una estafa total. Ves las fotos y lo que te venden no es lo que te dan. No vale la pena el dinero.

Je viens de passer 3 nuits avec mon conjoint à l'hôtel Trevi et le séjour à été parfait. Le personnel nous a très bien accueilli. Ils ont tout fait pour nous faciliter le séjour : possibilité de garder les bagages avant et après les heures d'enregistrement et de départ, conseils sur les visites et restos, quelqun piur porter les bagages. Je ne comprends pas les avis négatifs sur les chambres et la situation de l'hôtel. En effet il y a un bâtiment principal avec des chambres et d'autres annexes dans des rues voisines. Mais quand on réserve un hôtel on se renseigne avant ! Pour ma part j'avais bien lu dans les descriptifs que nous pouvions avoir une chambre en dehors de l'hôtel et cela a été notre cas. Au 4e sans ascenseur mais on nous a bien demandé avant si ça posait un problème. Ça nous convenait tout à fait et on a pas été déçu. La rue etait tres vivante et bruyante mais la chambre etait tres bien isolee. On entendait rien c'était très calme. La chambre était également très confortable. Un peu petite mais ça nous suffisait. La litterie ferme comme il faut et tout etait parfaitement propre. Petit bémol car en effet c'est de la moquette mais je crois que c'est d'usage en Italie donc on s'adapte au pays c'est normal ! Le petit déjeuner était parfait et pour tous les gouts : sucré salé produits laitiers céréales jus café.... et la salle au 5e est très lumineuse avec pas mal de tables. Mi experiencia en el Hotel Trevi ! Fue perfecta. Estuve alojada 4 noches en el hotel central , a fos cuadras de la fontana. El hotel es antiguo pero esa parte está remodelada . La atención de Ana en la recepción fue muy amable y accesible a todos los servicios solicitados, atenta a todo.

Hemos pasado una semana en este hotel, a escasos dos minutos de la Fontana di Trevi. El personal de recepción ha sido muy amable con todo lo que hemos necesitado, especialmente Roberto y Ricardo, que han sido de lo mejor del hotel. Junto con el personal del desayuno. Gracias por hacer la estancia tan especial.

Trato estupendo. Habitación para tres grandecita, con dos camas grandes supercomodas. Ubicación excelente. Ver todos los días la fontana de Trevi no tiene precio. Empleados muy amables y atentos. Muy buenas limpieza de habitación, hasta le dejaban a mi hijo sus dos peluches colocaditos en la cama. Sin dudar volveremos la próxima vez que vayamos a Roma.

Zum eigentlichen Hotel Trevi können wir leider nichts sagen. Wir haben dieses Hotel 2025 aufgrund der zentralen Lage schon einmal gebucht gehabt und uns wurde damals ein kostenloses Upgrade angeboten, welches wir dankend annahmen. Letztendlich wurden wir aber in ein anderes Hotel verbracht, welches 10 min zu Fuß und 780m zu dem eigentlichen Hotel Trevi entfernt war. Dieses Jahr haben wir das Hotel erneut gebucht und uns wurde an der Rezeption schon wieder gesagt, dass wir ein kostenloses Upgrade erhalten. Auf Nachfrage hin, teilte man uns mit, dass es ein Wasserschaden gab und wir deswegen ausgelagert werden. Komischerweise haben wir mitbekommen, wie andere Gäste einchecken konnten. Unser neues Hotel war gut, aber auch wieder 500m entfernt und nicht das, was wir ursprünglich gebucht haben

Super Lage! Wir sind in einem anderen Gebäude untergebracht was wir vorher nicht wussten und wodurch zum Frühstück etwas weiter gegangen werden muss. Die Lage ist trotzdem Top. Vom Trubel draußen ist am Zimmer nichts zu hören - Sehr leise. Leider ist das Zimmer nicht ganz so sauber wie wir uns das wünschen würden.

A fuir si vous ne voulez pas cuire dans votre chambre. Nous sommes le 1e mars et il fait entre 26 et 27 degrés dans la chambre, il est 1h30 du matin..... Impossible de faire descendre cette température . Personne dans le staff de l'hôtel n'a de solution depuis 2 jours que nous signalons ce problème. Le chauffage est soit disant éteint mais le sol est super chaud et la température reste élevée La fenêtre de la chambre donne sur une colonne technique avec le bruit de l'ascenseur et les ventilations chaudes des autres chambres donc rien ne sert de l'ouvrir.... La climatisation, ....... absente. Je n'ose pas imaginer ce que ce serait si on était en plein mois de juillet ou août. Je ne conseille donc pas cet établissement

Hemos estado de escapada 3 días en Roma y nos hemos alojado en este hotel en el corazón histórico de Roma a 50 metros de la Fontana de Trevi. Nos hemos desplazado andando a Coliseo, Trastevere, Plaza España, Panteón... y lo más alejado era Vaticano a unos 35 min.El resto de lugares de interés en menos de 20 minutos de el hotel. La atención de el personal de el hotel ha sido fantástica. Cabe destacar la amabilidad y simpatía de Ricardo. El desyuno también lo hemos realizado en el mismo alojamiento. La chica que atendía el "breakfast" muy agradable y muy atenta otro 10. Solo nos cabe decir "grazie mille a tutti". Roma es precioso.

Nada más llegar tiene una cucaracha pegada a la izquierda de la puerta por dentro , pasamos unas escaleras muy estrechas y llegamos a una habitación chica e incómoda , el suelo debajo de la cama tiene pelusas echas costra del tiempo como en las ventanas y huecos del armario . No nos dicen la hora de salida , nos llama una chica y dice que salgamos en 15 min , 5 minutos después viene otra mujer más borde amenazando con cobrarnos 50€ de más por la espera , al dejar la tarjeta en el mostrador nos obligan a pagar los 50€ nos negamos y nos fuimos con un mal recuerdo .

És la tercera vez que voy, situación espectacular, a 20 metros de la fontana. De las tres veces que he ido nos han alojado en situaciones diferentes, tienen varios edificios al rededor que son sellos, desayuno continental , muy buenas instalaciones.
