12/06/2026It's lovely, classic, centrally located restaurant. I particularly liked their signature dish - spaghetti carbonara. It was full of texture and flavour. Another quality item was tiramisu, which they prepare right by the table. This adds element of drama and spectacle to the meal. Be prepared that place is bit more pricey. Also the service was standard. Warm but not attentive.

11/06/2026The food was excellent and the room is beautiful, but the wine service was oddly aggressive. I asked for a dry, mineral-driven white with no fruit and no sweetness. The sommelier confidently brought me pretty much the exact opposite. What puzzled me most was the constant pushing while I was reading the wine list. I even mentioned that I enjoy browsing wines, yet the interruptions kept coming. At €25 for pasta and a table ordering multiple courses, I’m not sure an upsell was necessary. A little less salesmanship and a little more listening would make this a 5-star experience.

Pastas and burger were excellent, and I was thrilled that they had vitello tonnato (it wasn't the *best* but quite good). But the highlight was tiramisu prepared tableside! (For those who found carbonara salty - I feel like 2026 must be a bad cheese year or something: during our entire 2-week trip, almost every Pecorino Romano dish has been unbearably salty - never experienced this before.)

Carbonara was so salty as to be almost inedible, and the swordfish was more reminiscent of a hot roll filled with miscellaneous white fish. The beef tartare starter and the dessert wine were delicious; all else to be avoided. Somehow they managed to make a Margherita both completely bland and yet dessicating in its aftertaste.

23/05/2026The service was not bad itself, they were fast and nice…but i ate the caesar salad with chicken. The chicken was strangely cooked (im not even sure if it was chicken) and the bacon was kind of rubbery. Definitely wouldn’t eat again.

18/05/2026usually do not leave negative reviews, but unfortunately one experience with a specific waiter completely ruined our visit. The restaurant itself was nice, and the rest of the staff were polite and welcoming, but one older waiter with dark hair was extremely rude and arrogant throughout the evening. He mocked me for not pronouncing a menu item correctly in Italian, which was unnecessary and embarrassing as a tourist simply trying to order respectfully. Later, I politely asked whether any of the pasta dishes could be served with a non-pork meat option, and he responded aggressively with something along the lines of: “What do you think, that we can cut the tortellini just for you?” His tone was dismissive and hostile the entire time. The rest of the waiters were kind, but this one staff member completely changed the atmosphere for all of us and made sure we would never return. Hospitality should make guests feel comfortable, not humiliated for asking normal questions.

17/05/2026Baccano was an excellent dining experience in the heart of Rome. The atmosphere felt elegant but still welcoming, the pasta was outstanding, and the cocktails were just as impressive. A perfect spot to enjoy a classic Roman meal after visiting the Trevi Fountain.

08/05/2026Really disappointed with Baccona. A local recommended it to us but we were really underwhelmed. The food arrived separately and one of our party had to wait 45 minutes for their dish. The food was poor quality and the staff were really rude. We had to ask for the bill three times and they were argumentative when we highlighted our poor experience. The place feels tacky, like it’s trying to be a NY diner - much better places in Rome!

08/05/2026Unfortunately we came to this restaurant with high hopes (it had been recommended). It’s very busy and the waiters don’t pay much attention to you - one of our group has celiac disease so we asked for 4 carbonaras and one without gluten. When they came they all had regular pasta. Unfortunately our friend had to wait an extra 45 minutes for her pasta after chasing multiple times ( we had all finished). This issue wasn’t dealt with well and the head waitress was rude and dismissive. To note our carbonara was “Al dente” but unfortunately it was basically crunchy….. not the best restaurant, overpriced and unpleasant staff with slow service. Came away feeling disappointed. This felt like a bit of a tourist trap - avoid.

06/05/2026Yesterday at around 10 PM, two families with children came to this establishment after an evening walk specifically to enjoy the signature dessert, which our children had been asking for after visiting the day before. Instead of hospitality, we were met with shocking rudeness and openly disrespectful behavior from one of the waiters. The waiter aggressively told us that we were “not welcome” because we only wanted dessert and tea, and sarcastically said: “Go find a coffee shop, maybe they’ll serve dessert there.” Such behavior is completely unacceptable for any professional establishment, especially in a major tourist area where visitors expect basic courtesy and respect. No guest — especially families with children — should ever be spoken to in such a humiliating and dismissive manner. What makes the situation even more absurd is that the previous evening, at the same time, my child and I visited this exact place for tea and dessert without any issue at all. An establishment with empty tables refusing guests in such a rude and hostile way says a lot about its attitude toward tourists and customer service standards. Staff with this level of aggression and arrogance should not represent hospitality businesses. Very disappointing experience and a shame for the area.

11/04/2026Our bill was €62 and we got charged €8 for bread that we didnt order and thought it is part of the service, as it is at most places. We weren't even asked if we wanted to have bread. Chicken Caesar salad was nothing like what I have had before, the chicken was bland. Overall a very disappointing experience.

05/04/2026Went to try to eat with my parents and daughter, my daughter had the cone of a finished gelato, and the hostess told her to go to the street to eat the gelato or to put it on trash, Intold the hostess Thera wasn’t more ice cream, and she answered that anyway she had to eat it on the street, very rude. Don’t come this place, or expect to be treated in rude way.

29/03/2026Stumbled across this haven from the “Trevi crowds” for a quick lunch. It is very much in the styling of Balthazar in New York with a lovely Roman menu. We enjoyed the famous tortellini in Parmesan cream and the papardelle with anchovy and butter sauce. Caffe macchiato to finish. We watched many beautiful dishes go past and would definitely recommend a 3 course meal here… the much talked about carbonara whizzed past multiple times as did the Jewish carciofi and the croissant with porchetta & anchovy cream. The tiramisu made at the table with theatrical precision also looked delicious. Kitchen and service was fast, precise and surprisingly attentive despite the huge volume of tables. Highly recommend while in the Trevi district and the value was on point.

16/03/2026We’ve been traveling throughout Italy for the past several days, dining at restaurants all over the country, and this was the first place where we can honestly say it was the worst dining experience we’ve had in Italy — and possibly one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had anywhere. The food was unbelievably disappointing. It tasted like cardboard and had absolutely none of the freshness, flavor, or quality we’ve experienced everywhere else in Italy. To make matters worse, the service was completely abysmal. Before we were even seated, we were told by the hostess that we had only one hour to dine before our table would be taken by another party. That immediately made the experience feel rushed and unwelcoming. While the waitress was initially polite, she never came back to properly check on us or ask whether we needed anything during the meal. The timing of the food was unacceptable. One of our meals arrived, and the other didn’t come until about 25 minutes later. By that point, the first meal was already finished and the dinner was essentially over. When we asked about it, the waitress simply told us it was coming and that we needed to wait. I even said I wanted to cancel it because it made no sense for it to arrive that late, but the situation was handled poorly from start to finish. The prices were also outrageous. This restaurant was easily 25–50% more expensive than any other meal we’ve had in Italy, yet the quality was dramatically worse. Without question, this was the worst food and worst service we’ve experienced during our trip. If you want to avoid an overpriced tourist trap, avoid this restaurant at all costs.

The food was absolutely delicious, with great flavors and high-quality ingredients. Every dish we tried was excellent. What made the experience even better was the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. They made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived and were very attentive throughout the meal. A lovely place for a family dinner in Rome. We would definitely come back!

13/03/2026I had carbonara here and it was almost the best pasta that I had during my trip! You must try the fried artichokes, it was so good. The pasta did taste fresh, generous and tasty! It would have been lovely to go back for another round of pasta, but unfortunately time did not allow for another visit. It is worth your time and money! Daria's service was outstanding — professional, thoughtful and very kind. She made sure to ask about food allergies and took great care of me. Thank you!

A male waiter came over and started acting strange, making fun of us, and then he just disappeared. We ended up not even ordering anything, so we got up and left. I don't recommend it.

22/05/2026Baccano: tanto rumore per nulla Sono tornato in questo ristorante per una cena aziendale (20 persone) dopo una prima ottima esperienza fatta con una cena tra pochi amici. Pessima pessima pessima esperienza! Il peggior rapporto qualità/prezzo mai trovato a Roma! 100 euro a testa per mangiare in ordine: Acciughe fritte di mediocre qualità che ad Alassio non ti servirebbe nessun ristorante; Una ottima mozzarella di bufala (che non va cucinata ma solo impiattata); Un piatto di affettati che, per noi che arriviamo da Parma, erano da osteria di basso livello. Bis di primi o, per meglio dire, bis di mezze maniche (carbonara - cacio e pepe) salate in maniera scandalosa… ma usare due formati di pasta era chiedere troppo?!?! Un arrosto con cicorietta (super piccante) modello quattro salti in padella. In conclusione il dolce: un bombolone da farcire in autonomia con della nutella!!! Indegno!!! Salvo il personale e il servizio bar (pagato in più al pattuito dei 100 euro citati) oltre che la location che, per posizione e stile, sono molto belli. Il mio consiglio! Perfetto per cene alla carta tra pochi intimi ma inaccettabile per eventi aziendali!

30/04/2026Carísimo y no lo vale. La comida no es muy buena, en cualquier lado hemos comido mejor en el viaje antes que aquí. Platos escasos, carta reducida. Pasta dura, quesos poco sabrosos… Te cobran el pan (16€) que no pedimos, pensamos que era cortesía de la mesa, ya que te lo traen sin demanda. Además llegamos y nos dijeron que no había sitio, que habían 30’ de espera, luego de insistir nos sientan en un costado de todo, al lado del baño. Durante toda la comida vimos 10 mesas vacías alrededor nuestro, jamás se llenó el restaurante. El baño sucio, tienen a alguien cobrando en la entrada en el baño (extraño para lo caro que es el restaurante, pagamos 60€ x persona…) y el baño está demasiado sucio. Inmundo. Al comentar todo lo que pensamos sobre la experiencia aquí en el restaurante, no quisieron escucharnos, nos justificaban todo lo que comentábamos, desde una actitud bastante condescendiente y borde. Están en Roma, no pierdan el tiempo que hay muchísimos sitios increíbles para comer!! Con pasta que es deliciosa y con gran variedad de platos. Este no es el sitio para ello 🫶 Nada recomendable. Lo único lindo es el ambiente, el restaurante si que es bello.

22/04/2026Una amiga que vive en Roma hace más de 20 años reservo para cenar en Bacano y ciertamente me encantó !! La verdad, no sé si definirlo como caro, como lo dice su fama, nosotras pagamos €110 entre las dos pero primero tomamos un aperitivo en el bar (foto) y luego nos dirigimos a nuestra mesa para cenar primero, compartimos una entrada de burrata con tomates confitados y albahaca, y luego pedimos un plato de spaghetis carbonara cada una con agua natural y agua con gas y dos copas de vino malbec, quedamos tan satisfechas que no nos quedó lugar para pedir un postre. Tanto el ambiente, cálido y familiar, como la atención del mozo y la calidad de la comida es inmejorable! Y vas caminando sin ningún problema, queda muy cerquita de la fontana di Trevi y la zona es muy segura para caminarla de noche 😉🤗🥰🇮🇹

20/04/2026Qui non si viene per mangiare “come a casa”. E meno male. Ho sempre trovato un po’ pigra quella formula che molti usano come un complimento: se in un ristorante si mangia come a casa, allora tanto vale mangiare a casa, soprattutto se a casa propria si mangia già benissimo. Al ristorante io chiedo un’altra cosa. Lo stupore. E qui lo stupore arriva, netto, ripetuto, quasi ostinato, a ogni boccone. C’è un’atmosfera da grande ristorante americano, ma senza volgarità scenografiche, con accoglienza vera, sala calda, servizio che corre con precisione senza mai dare l’idea di correre. Peter, in questo, è stato semplicemente eccellente. Presente, elegante, competente, con quel raro talento di farti sentire seguito senza sentirti sorvegliato. Quanto ai piatti, c’è poco da fare, erano tutti spettacolari. Dai crudi alle portate più strutturate, tutto aveva personalità, tecnica e soprattutto gusto. Nessun esercizio di stile fine a sé stesso, nessuna di quelle costruzioni da cucina contemporanea che si ammirano un secondo e si dimenticano un minuto dopo. Qui invece si ricorda. Si ricorda eccome. E quando una cucina riesce a sorprendere senza perdere misura, ha già vinto. L’unico difetto, se proprio sforzandoci ne vogliamo trovare uno, è il rumore di fondo: un brusio continuo, non sgradevole ma abbastanza fitto da rendere la conversazione più una disciplina sportiva che un semplice scambio di battute. Ma è davvero una nota marginale, quasi burocratica, dentro una serata di livello alto. Cinque stelle, quindi, senza particolare esitazione. Perché da Baccano non si esce con la consolante impressione di aver mangiato bene; si esce con qualcosa di più raro: la sensazione di essere stati felicemente spiazzati. E in un ristorante, per me, è questa la forma più seria del piacere.

19/04/2026Baccano è uno di quei posti che funzionano sempre, soprattutto se cerchi un’atmosfera curata e un po’ dandy, con un respiro internazionale. Il locale è bello, vivo, pieno di gente: decisamente turistico, ma nel senso positivo, con un’energia che ricorda le grandi brasserie europee. Si mangia bene. La carbonara è corretta, piacevole, ma senza quell’effetto wow che trovi in altre trattorie più autentiche di Roma. Buona, ma c’è di meglio in città. Nota molto positiva la Guinness, spillata bene, che dà quel tocco diverso rispetto ai soliti ristoranti romani.

15/04/2026Esperienza davvero fantastica da Baccano! La carbonara è semplicemente eccezionale: cremosa al punto giusto, saporita e preparata con grande cura. Si percepisce subito la qualità degli ingredienti e l’attenzione alla tradizione. Il servizio è impeccabile: personale gentile, attento e sempre disponibile, capace di farti sentire a tuo agio dall’inizio alla fine. L’ambiente poi è stupendo, elegante ma accogliente, perfetto sia per una cena romantica che per una serata tra amici. Un posto dove si sta davvero bene e dove viene voglia di tornare. Consigliatissimo!

La recepcionista nos dijo que afuera estaba todo cubierto (cuando en verdad estaba solo a la mitad de capacidad), hablamos con el mozo y nos dejó sentarnos. Luego la comida tardó muchísimo y las pastas estaban crudas, con gusto a masa sin cocinar (crudo). Además muy caro respecto de los lugares que están literalmente en frente. Locale internazionale con ottimo servizio gentile e professionale. Speso in 4 persone circa 75 euro a persona. Davvero raccomandata come tappa!

No es un lugar económico y bueno me he comido mejores carbonaras por mejoras. También comimos el Tiramisú que si estuvo tremendo uno si no el mejor que comí. 2 copas de vino, 1 agua, 2 carbonara, 1 tiramisú = 88€. Lugar lindo, cerca de la FTrevi.

16/03/2026Bacano, en Roma, tiene una atmósfera preciosa y muy cuidada. El espacio es realmente bonito y el servicio es increíble: el equipo es amable, atento y hace que la experiencia sea muy agradable. Probé la carbonara clásica, que es una de las más premiadas del restaurante. En mi caso me resultó un pelín dura. También pedí el tiramisú, que preparan en vivo y en directo en la mesa, algo que siempre suma a la experiencia, aunque en mi opinión tenía poco sabor. En conjunto, es un sitio muy chulo por el ambiente y por la gente que trabaja allí, pero la relación calidad-precio no me pareció nada del otro mundo. Aun así, merece la pena vivir la experiencia por el lugar y la atmósfera.

Pizza ve pasta yemekten sıkıldığımız için kalamar ve deniz mahsülleri yiyelim diye gittik. Hatta kalamar bulunmadığını öğrenince hayal kırıklığına uğrayıp kalkmayı bile düşündük. İyi ki kalkmamışız 4 kişi başlangıç olarak ahtapot, enginar kızartması, mantarlı ve peynirli bir salata ile ana yemek olarak 2 risotto, 2 levrek ve 2 çeşit tatlı ve içecekler için 350 Euro ödedik. Yediğimiz tüm ürünler çok lezzetliydi. Fiyatlar bir tık pizza, makarnanın üstünde ama iyi bir yemek isteyenler için uygun.

07/09/2024Baccano si distingue come una proposta gastronomica di tutto rispetto che merita assolutamente una sosta. Il locale colpisce subito per il suo stile che strizza l'occhio alle eleganti brasserie francesi, ma senza mai dimenticare le radici romane, che anzi vengono talvolta rivisitate migliorandone l'impatto. Accanto a classici intramontabili come la carbonara e la cacio e pepe, spiccano scelte più originali e golose come i croissant alla porchetta, assolutamente consigliati, e una selezione di dolci non solo buoni ma anche molto scenografici. Un grande punto a favore è la carta dei vini, decisamente valida e con ricarichi onesti, presentando etichette a prezzi persino sotto la media se si considera la tipologia di ristorante e la posizione centralissima. In definitiva, anche se ci si trova nel cuore del caos turistico, i prezzi rimangono coerenti con l'alta qualità dell'offerta e non risultano mai gonfiati artificialmente. Un indirizzo decisamente approvato per chi cerca sostanza e stile a Roma.

Il cibo è sublime ( ho provato nel corso delle visite, Quasi tutti i piatti nel menù), cucinato egregiamente e tecnicamente ineccepibile. Complimenti allo Chef!! L atmosfera è unica, soprattutto nelle ore serali, dove la luce soffusa crea situazioni interessanti... ma il vero plus è il servizio!!! Daniele (forse sbaglio il nome , comunque il direttore di sala... ) è una forza della natura!!! Gestisce in modo perfetto tutte le esigenze, sorridente, preparatissimo sui vini, ti coccola dall' inizio alla fine con tutto il suo staff di sala ( bravissimi ragazzi!! ) !!! Sul mangiare nota di merito, nello specifico: - Tartare di Fassona: viene condita e servita in modo espresso. Il cameriere condisce e serve in diretta la tartare, rispettando le esigenze del cliente ( no alici, no cipolla....) Top del top!!! Miglior tartare ( fassona) di sempre!! - Cotoletta alla Milanese: Big big, ma veramente sublime! La carne rimane succulenta, cottura eccellente, panatura spaziale! Gusto ToP!!! I prezzi sono "alti" in contesti classici, ma se si calcola tutto ( servizio, cibo, atmosfera, posizione..), alla fine di tutto, per essere al centro di Roma...🔥🔥TOP del TOP!!!🔥🔥 Si esce felici, in pace con il mondo e senza aver speso un capitale ( certo, dipende sempre da quello che prendete...).
