22/08/2025Ristorante superbo. Ambiente molto elegante e servizio attento e cortese. Ho mangiato carne ed è stato fantastico, il vino rosso del douro in accompagnamento davvero molto gradevole. Prezzi adeguati.

03/10/2024Scelto questo locale in occasione del mio compleanno, prenotato tramite the fork con sconto 30%. È stata una bellissima esperienza, a livello estetico è molto carino e romantico. Accolti in modo impeccabile da cameriere gentili e simpatiche, ci hanno subito portato un entree di pane, olio e olive (peccato abbiamo scoperto dopo che non era offerto ma costava 5 euro, vabbuo). Abbiamo preso il vino loro, oupa, buonissimo, un antipasto con carne e sangue di maiale (buonissimo), cod fish (niente di che, pentiti di averlo scelto) e la carne con le castagne (strabuono). Per finire il dolce al limone e lime che era davvero buonissimo. Tutto sommato abbiamo sbagliato a scegliere il codfish potevamo prendere il polpo che aveva un aspetto più invitante. Tasto dolente, ci siamo entrambi svegliati nel pieno della notte con la nausea e conati di vomit.. Però ve lo consiglio lo stesso

Due fratelli, Pedro e Carlos Torres, hanno preso in mano le redini dell’intera attività (oggi costituita da 4 ristoranti), ispirati dal nonno, primo Chef del Portogallo. Il locale, piuttosto elegante, nella Porto alta e in una strada abbastanza ritirata, ti accoglie con una scelta di ambienti al primo e al secondo piano. Atmosfere diverse, ma stessa gentilezza e attenzione per la clientela. Colpisce il menu, in quanto prevede piatti da tutte le regioni del Portogallo: in pratica si può partire in un tour gastronomico in un batter d’occhio, da Nord a Sud, da Est a Ovest. Intervistiamo Carlos Torres, chef e titolare dell’attività gestita con la famiglia, che li ha portati ad aprire altri 4 ristoranti. Un vino tinto del Douro, cepa autóctona y frágil, fue una delicia acompañado primero por mejillones en escabeche, presunto y quesos de alta calidad, y una ensalada de pulpo bestial. 29/05/2026Avoid this restaurant. We arrived, the restaurant was empty bar one other couple. There was a terrible smell of sewage or drains in the restaurant. It was overpowering. We shared a starter which was very poor and then left. Service was terrible, the owner or whoever greeted us was cold, rude and questioned our reservation, but they were empty! Avoid, very strange experience and unwelcoming

14/12/2025ÉLeBê is a very stylish restaurant with a beautiful interior with some quirky accents. Loved the stuffed peacock. The acoustics in this restaurant are excellent. Since my boyfriend's mother wears a hearing aid, this is something we pay great attention to. No need to raise our voices, we could understand each other perfectly. The service was very friendly and the food was excellent. Loved the appetizers, which were a nice mix of some Portuguese specialties. The carvalheira's codfish I ordered as a main course was also very good. I loved this traditional grilled fish with with potatoes, peppers, onions and boiled egg. To accompany our food we drank a nice bottle of the house wine Oupa! from the Douro region. For dessert we followed the recommendation of our waiter and shared a rabanada, a traditional Christmas sweet enriched by vanilla liqueur ice cream. Very tasty. Of course we drank a nice glass of porto with our dessert. We had a lovely time and would definitely come back here.

21/11/2025Booked a table here as was 2 mins walk from where we staying in Porto. So glad I did. Beautiful interior with a relaxed atmosphere. Tables spaced apart perfectly so no overhearing other diners conversations and a side table which was great for additional dishes or a wine bottle. Each course was amazing from presentation to taste. Great cocktails. Staff were very attentive and always available. Was a lovely evening and would definitely return.

16/10/2025Went to this restaurant with my family of 4 and was little disappointed. Ordered the codfish, baby octopus and a chicken with rice. The cod fish was good but probably overpriced for quality, while the chicken with rice was like a big bowl of mud. Chicken was marinated but still dry, and the rice was like a failed risotto, portion size was a lot bigger than for 2 pax (more fit for 3-4) and way too overpriced. Would not recommend trying. However, the baby octopus was wonderful and a must-try here. Staff were friendly and atmosphere was cozy, but this restaurant is definitely on the expensive side.

We had the octopus salad, prawn and codfish risotto, grandma’s steak (sublime) and the sweet and sour dessert. We were very well looked after by Hamilta who was very kind and thoughtful. 14/08/2025My family enjoyed the dishes (being codfish risotto, grouper and a ham/garlic steak) very much. But unfortunately, I got sick after having diner at this place. Although we started with a delicious, apparently old recipe meat dish, my main course (Cavalheira codfish) was so greasy that it made me feel sick afterwards. The reason I threw up a few hours later though, was probably because of improper hygiene, as the restaurant smelled weird when stepping inside and the toilets appeared not so clean and tidy. It can happen of course but because of the pretentious high standard of the place, it should not have occurred. Also worth mentioning is that the service was rather impersonal though friendly.

28/07/2025일반적인 맛과 시끌벅적한 분위기의 음식을 먹다가 마지막 날 저녁에 만난 제대로 된 음식과 분위기 그리고 소믈리에가 추천해 주는 와인은 그야 말로 음식, 서비스, 분위기의 삼위일체 에피타이저로 나오는 빵도 독특하고 퐁듀(빵을 파내고 치즈를 녹여서 채운)도 너무 좋았고, 메인으로 먹은 베이비 문어는 익힌 후에 구워서 겉바속촉의 제대로 된 식감 그리고 농어는 스팀으로 마무리해서 익히는 스타일에 짜지 않고 바다향이 뭍어나는 육수가 조화로왔음 서비스하는 직원들의 태도도 너무나 좋았음

Desaconselho a sobremesa Sintonia, que é à base de um queijo fortíssimo - 6 pessoas da minha mesa provaram e todas detestaram. Feedback dado à senhora que nos serviu que, embora simpaticamente, desvalorizou totalmente, comentando apenas que já mais pessoas tinham pedido a mesma sobremesa nessa noite e ninguém se tinha queixado. Mesmo com o desconto de 30% no the fork a relação qualidade/preço não é boa. Foi referido tratar-se de um festejo de aniversário aquando da reserva, o que foi também ignorado.

02/07/2025We ordered the francesinha, the prawn risotto, and the tenderloin with Grandma’s sauce. The dishes were served fairly quickly. I can personally vouch for the tenderloin: the meat was excellent, beautifully presented, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. It came with roasted potatoes. The portion may have looked small at first, but we couldn’t even finish it! As a starter, we tried the sweet potatoes shown in the photo, served with olives and a dipping sauce for crudités — also very good. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant, and the staff were very kind. The discount was applied smoothly to each dish without any issues. Highly recommended!

14/06/2025Péssima experiência, a relação qualidade preço está fora do contexto! Solicitei o prato “bife na caçarola da Avó” e, infelizmente, a experiência foi bastante decepcionante. O bife foi servido imerso em óleo, a ponto de ser necessário pedir um prato extra apenas para retirá-lo do excesso de gordura. Mesmo assim, tornou-se impossível consumi-lo, tanto pelo sabor excessivamente “torrado” quanto pela textura encharcada de óleo. Lamentavelmente, foi uma refeição que não pretendo repetir.

22/03/2025I don’t do reviews often but I felt compelled to highlight how wonderful the experience at the restaurant was. The food was wonderful, the service was excellent - shout out to Beatrix and Evandro (sorry about the spelling both of you) who were both knowledge, super helpful and patient with explaining the menu to us. We (2 people shared all) had the 3 cheese fondue, baby octopus and sea bass and grouper. We really wanted to try the desert but didn’t have space 🥲 We would happily recommend all the above to anyone wondering what to get. Finally, shout out to whoever created the playlist, the vibes all night where 🔥🔥 10/10 would go again.

Ils proposent de goûter un verre de vin pétillant à 6,95€ et un « couvert » qui est une petite planche apéritive ( 5,95€), le pain est fait à base de patate douce et beurré à la demande. Très bon choix de vin portugais

28/02/2025Wow, what a meal! Honestly, I couldn't fault it. The service was excellent, and the staff were really knowledgeable explaining the menu and offering drink recommendations. The food tasted brilliant and was impeccably presented. It felt like a fine dining experience but (compared to the UK) at really reasonable prices. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would about visit again if we were back in Porto.

16/02/2025Fomos ao éLeBê num sábado com reserva. Embora o restaurante não estivesse cheio no dia em que fomos, recomendo reservar para evitar surpresas. O ambiente é bonito e sofisticado, ótimo para fotos—e sim, isso também conta na hora de escolher onde jantar. Agora, apesar de não ter sido uma experiência horrível, ficou aquém das expectativas. Começando pelo serviço: não me incomoda que um empregado anote o pedido, acho até normal e adequado. No entanto, alguns restaurantes "chiques" parecem insistir nesse jogo desnecessário de memória, e aqui não foi diferente. Como resultado, houve um engano na nossa sobremesa. Quanto à comida, pedimos a couvete e o fondue de queijo como entradas. Para o prato principal, escolhi o porco preto com castanhas, enquanto o meu namorado optou pelo bife na caçarola. Para sobremesa, pedimos sericaia. Para beber, pedi um copo de sangria (que estava boa), e o meu namorado pediu uma cerveja. Agora, sobre as porções… a couvete veio com apenas quatro pedaços de pão. O porco preto estava saboroso, embora um pouco salgado (e eu até gosto de comida mais salgada), mas veio acompanhado por apenas quatro castanhas e quatro batatas. O bife, por sua vez, trouxe apenas a gema do ovo e uma batata cortada em rodelas. O ponto alto da noite foi, sem dúvida, o fondue de três queijos—cremoso, saboroso e com uma boa relação qualidade-preço. No entanto, o maior problema da experiência foi a quantidade das porções, especialmente considerando o preço. Não quero ser o típico português que diz "mais vale ir à tasca", mas, sinceramente, não é aceitável pagar por duas entradas, um prato principal e uma sobremesa e ainda sair com fome. Se um restaurante propõe um menu completo, as porções devem ser equilibradas para que o cliente saia satisfeito. No geral, não foi uma experiência péssima, mas não voltaria, principalmente pelo custo-benefício.

07/12/2024We went to have dinner last night and we had the main course directly as we felt not hungry enough to have a starter. We had Carvalheira’s Codfish and Grandmother Casserole Steak. We were very impressed by the great balance of the ingredients that have been used in the dish. Although we should request medium rare for the steak, we could still feel the tenderness of the medium one. The codfish was amazing and it was the first time we tried Portugal style codfish, a bit salty perfect match with crispy texture by the charcoal grilled effect. The dinner was rounded by a pear pie dessert that was recommended by the lovely waitress. The taste and texture of the pie was so good and the hazelnut ice cream was a perfect combination that didn’t extract us from the pie but gave a refreshment when the taste bud needed a rest. Having good wine and service let us have an unforgettable dinner in Porto.

23/10/2024The food, The Service, The atmosphere all were just amazing. From entering the door to the minute we left, the staff were welcoming and catered to our needs. I expressed dietary requirements to our waiter who was more than happy to accommodate. Each bite of every dish we ordered was packed with harmonious flavours. Cooked perfectly and presentation was great too. Prices compared to other places we ate are good considering the food quality too. Probably the best food I ate during my time in portugal. I would 100% love to visit here again.

07/10/2024Hoje não tive sorte, éramos 4 pessoas e pedimos arroz de cabidela para 2 e 2 polvos baby. O arroz de cabidela estava bom , mas os polvos baby estavam , desculpe a expressão, horríveis… metade deu para comer… e dava pra ver que foi feito na hora e a outra metade duro… com um aspecto muito diferente .. e ficou no prato. Realmente não dava pra comer!!! E foi relatado para o staff.

06/10/2024One of the best restaurant we ever been to. Amazing food, service, ambience. And 40 euro per persons! What a bargain. This restaurant could easily have a Bib gourmand recommendation. If you're in Porto you have to go there.

30/09/2024近くのホテルに宿泊していて良い感じの店だと思い来店しました。 予約はしていませんでしたが、快く受け入れてくれました 料理はタコのサラダとエビのリゾットとステーキを注文しましたが、全部美味しかったです。 値段も納得できる価格で、またポルトへ来る機会があれば訪れたいです

17/08/2024Muy buena comida, cocina perfecta. Eramos dos personas, pedimos de primero francesinha, carne, risotto y una ensalada. Una sangría de frutos rojos para compartir y de postre uno de chocolate blanco con limón. Fue bastante, sin embargo buenas cantidades. El arroz siempre viene grande por lo que esperábamos que fuera similar. Musica a buen nivel para hablar tranquilamente y ambientado muy acogedor. 100 EU 2pax aprox

06/08/2024C’est vraiment un restaurant à faire … nous y avons célébré notre 12e anniversaire de mariage là-bas et c’était magique. Un service impeccable et attentionné, des plats à tomber par terre, et un décor magnifique.

If you ditch the waiter (old guy) who wants to squeeze every cent from your pocket and instead approach people in a friendly way with a smile this place would be super. Going around every table trying to sell more expensive wines as the one you ordered, a bit sad!

01/08/2024What a wonderful find right near out hotel! The other reviews didn't lie -- it's a small intimate space - reservations needed - and the service is impeccable. Joann took great care of us and let us know we were about to order too much. We split the cold octopus salad, and then had the cod and shrimp risotto and the lobster rice. The lobster rice was INCREDIBLE. Everything was delicious! Thank you for a great meal in Porto!

21/07/2024Pese a que tardaron un pelín (40 min) en servir la comida, mereció cada uno de los minutos que esperamos. La comida está INCREÍBLE! El servicio es inmejorable, ya que es un restaurante con mucha clase y tal, pero todo muy muy agradable. Me lo apunto para volver sin duda. Además el precio está súper súper bien para la calidad de los platos (que es sublime).

21/06/2024Großartiges Restaurant mit tollem Essen und grosartigem Service. Oktopus war überragend. Das Steak auch super lecker. Etwas teurer, als man sonst in Porto isst, aber jeden Euro wert. Es war ruhig und entspannt. Vielen Dank für den wunderschönen Abend.

02/06/2024Delicious food, beautiful decoration and the most professional and friendly service from Gonçalo and David. We went there a while ago, but it took me some time to find the name of the restaurant again. It has left us with very fond memories of our time in Porto. I’m now planning to revisit, this time with the whole family!

29/05/2024Disappointing Experience Rating: ★★☆☆☆ We had high hopes for this Restaurant in Porto, reserving months in advance but our visit was far from enjoyable. The service was inattentive and came with a side of attitude, especially after our entire table disliked the first course. The ceviche appetizer was a major letdown—it didn’t taste fresh and was practically inedible. Things didn't improve with the main course; the beef tenderloin Wellington was overcooked and served with raw pastry. To top it off, the staff seemed more interested in their cell phones than in attending to the customers. Overall, it was the least enjoyable food experience we've had in Porto. Not recommended.

14/05/2024C'était plutôt mal parti (probleme de réservation suite a un soucis de feu de cuisson en cuisine), mais l'équipe a su gérer ses impondérables avec brio ! L'accueil est excellent, un service aux petits soins, les plats sont tout simplement delicieux. Réservez a l'avance mais allez y les yeux fermés.

09/05/2024…absolute 5 Sterne verdient. Angefangen vom Empfang fühlte ich mich den ganzen Abend als herzlich willkommen. Diesen streckte sich über den ganzen Abend. Das Essen, die Weine und der Service hat mir/uns einen fast unvergesslichen schönen Abend beschert. Ja, es gibt dort auch sehr gute und teure Weine. Aber jeder so wie er mag und vor allem kann. Unterm Strich fand ich den Preis für die gebotene Qualität, besonders das Essen, sehr gut.

07/05/2024April 18, 2024 - My wife I had dinner at the restaurant based on a recommendation from our hotel staff. It was the best meal and service that we had with any dinner in our 2 weeks in Spain and Portugal. The staff helped with both our food and wine selections. The wine was very good and affordable. The food presentation and taste were excellent. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

04/05/2024We planned to go enjoy a nice evening with great food at a different place. Without reservation, a staff member was not able to offer to us a seat. But he highly recommended this place. He actually took us there in person and ensured that a table for us is available. And ... it turned out to be a surprising location on the upper floor with great food. The service was very good; and the food .... presentation, taste and quality was perfect. Even the wine recommendation was a fit. We shared the "chef's choice" which was a selection of different tapas style portions. A great opportunity to test the varity of offers. The moshroom risotto was just perfect. So we enjoyed a very nice evening with great food in an romantic environment. Well done, eLeBe Team. :-)

27/02/2020Nesta última ida ao élebê entre paredes experimentei a francesinha como entrada, ora está iguaria portuense, neste restaurante é por mim considerada a francesinha das francesinhas, para lá do bife perfeitamente grelhado, o molho, o molho então é suave com um toque perfeito de picante, posto isto, recomendo provar, porque esta poderá ser considerada a melhor das melhores, a verdadeira e com o sabor caseiro que á tanto tempo não provava.
