Not a 4-star hotel. They claim to be a 4-star hotel, but they are not: there is no restaurant in the hotel, no gym, spa or fitness center, no private chauffeur. It is a 3-star hotel by international standards (Yes, I know that in Italy you earn four stars easier than elsewhere). The rooms are spacious, neat and well air conditioned. The location is very central, close to the Duomo metro station. The hotel has been renovated some time ago, but they have left it with an unfinished feel: there is no information booklet in the room, the room numbers outside the rooms are printed on wrinkled pieces of paper, very little art or decoration anywhere, a missing carpet on the staircase etc. The bar is very unwelcoming. The breakfast is rather good for an Italian hotel (which often is just coffee, juice and pastries). The staff is attentive and friendly. With a day's worth of work they could make this hotel look finished. Because they have decided not to do so, I give only 3 stars.

The location is right next to the Spaccanopli, so we really enjoyed strolling down Christmas Alley, etc. after we settled in. The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful. We recommend!

This is a very nice hotel. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was great, delicious and with many options. The location of this hotel is not great. It's located in an area that's dirty, garbage piles up on the sidewalks, etc. Lots of scooters ignoring pedestrians. Not a great location but a nice hotel.

Great location in the heart of Napoli. Close to everything for first time visitors. Breakfast is great to get started. No noise issues and AC worked great in our room. Only downside is the city is kind of dirty and lots of graffiti. Overall we felt safe everywhere we went.

Stayed here for 2 nights, room was spacious and beds comfy but the WiFi was terrible, very slow, couldn’t even browse on phone - maybe a WiFi extender is needed. The location is excellent and with working WiFi it would have been a better experience.

The room itself felt luxurious. The A/C was "on" but never cooled down, we checked all the things including making sure the windows were closed. Barbara was great at checkin. After dinner we requested a taxi for the morning transport to the airport. They delivered and we were happy to get out of Naples, it was dirty with trash everywhere and graffitti on every building in the area, including Churches and businesses. The night front desk person, a gentleman, was not helpful with questions about the A/C and was not friendly or welcoming at our departure. The rooms were not quite.

Very much enjoyed our stay at Palazzo Decumani. The staff were friendly and our room was very spacious and clean. It is in a great location that is walking distance to many shopping and lots of small restaurants/ cafes as well as walkable from Napoli Centrale. If there is anything we would recommend, it is to begin breakfast hours at 7:30. It is only from 8-10 and we had tours and other obligations booked and had to leave the hotel around 8. So we never had a chance to have the breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Location is convenient but that is all this place has going for it. It was in no way a 4 star hotel and the room rates are unjustified. The breakfast buffet was ok. Wifi was very slow and did not work at all in other parts of the hotel except for your room. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was just 2 twins put together and the pillows were flat. The toilet seat was also uncomfortable and crooked. Walls are very thin so you can hear everything. Staff is rude. I asked for more shampoo and soap and the male did not want to give me any saying there should already be some in my room. It would have been nice to have room in the fridge for my own things, instead it is packed with things to buy. I would not stay here again.

The lowest hotel among the countries and cities I have visited so far. Even though I made a reservation a month ago, I made a fuss on the day that I couldn't stay under that condition, and I was charged a high additional fee. I didn't apologise for it at all, and it was hard to believe because I was single-minded about your fault. I can't believe the attitude of a woman who looks like a manager without a shred of humility and a cunning man who looks like his minion. I was also surprised that even if there were elderly people, children, and pregnant women, they would never help carry their luggage. I'm ashamed of myself for choosing this hotel for a precious week with my family. It was a lesson that I shouldn't do this kind of business.

Lovely little hotel located in the heart of Naples’ charming old town but also easy to get to the port for a ferry ride or Napoli Central for trains. Naples old town is full of fun restaurants and bars. Great location for a day trip to Pompeii and don’t miss the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli The room itself had high ceilings, comfortable bed and a little desk and an arm chair. The breakfast was great, really good service and even some bacon and eggs for the Anglos. The photo is from a nearby alley heading to the shops

This is definitely not a true 4 star hotel, upon arrival be prepared to lug your suitcase as there is not true “ entrance” and it’s not right at the curb. There are 6 stairs you’ll also have to drag your suitcases up- if you’re like us travelling with 2 large heavy bags this was a bummer. Rooms are fine- nothing special, clean. The hotel is loud, street noise and airplanes. The breakfast in the morning is subpar- we completely skipped it our last morning and went to a local cafe just up the street. As for the location it’s great, you are close to the historic district and lots of places to eat and drink! Also apparently the hotel is supposed to give you something to get a fixed taxi fare to the airport? We had the front desk even call us a taxi and we didn’t get given this, we only learned about it once we were on our way by the taxi driver, instead of paying a fixed 26 euros we ended up paying $40 euros. Yet another piss off.

This is not really a 4-star hotel. It’s a good three-star at best, with terrible air conditioning that doesn’t actually cool the room, average service from reception who don’t really seem to care about anything and rooms that don’t match the description given. Our ‘suite’ was, at best, a large room. It was supposed to have a balcony which turned out to be a back door onto the fire escape, with windows blocked out. No free water given which, in 35-degree heat, would be simple common decency. On one evening, the lift was broken and the staff couldn’t care less, unable to say when it would be repaired and showing no sympathy when we mentioned needing to carry luggage up and down four flights. If you’re looking for an average overpriced hotel in the grubby old town of Naples with tramps sleeping on the doorstep then this is it. If you’d like a good hotel with good service in a good area, look elsewhere.

From start to finish Palazzo Decumani was a perfect stay in Naples for our family. We were traveling with our adult children so we booked two rooms and this hotel being in the heart of old Naples was perfect. Right across the street from some of the best pizza in Naples, just a block away from, the heart of all the action and alleyways in Naples. We were two blocks away from the underground burial crypts and old Roman aqueducts, such a great tour. The hotel was super clean, very helpful, accommodating and professional, especially Barbara at the front desk. The entire staff was wonderful to work with, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious, highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in old Naples.

The hotel is located wonderfully in the old town. That's mostly why we decided on this hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious. However, I wouldn't recommend having breakfast there. For the prices there's little choice and barely healthy options. Other days we had cold eggs and coffee comes from a machine.

This is not a review of Naples…but more the hotel. So the hotel is lovely and charming. The staff and professional, kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location is very close to the historic area with tons of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. There is also a supermarket about 150m down the road. I genuinely don’t have anything bad to say of the hotel or the staff. The breakfast is okay, beds are a bit uncomfortable but it is quiet given how close the hotel is to “maddening crowd”. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to explore Naples.

My wife and I spent two nights here and enjoyed them both. The room was quite spacious, had plenty of drawer and closet space, and the shower had fantastic water pressure and temperature range. Barbara was working the front desk when we arrived and provided us with a number of local recommendations for us while our room was being readied. We took the tour of Naples’ underground (old Roman Empire cisterns) and it was such a unique experience! Also a great way to get out of the hot sun for a couple hours. Upon our departure the front desk once again helped us get a taxi so we didn’t have to wheel our luggage around to get to a high-traffic area and find one. If/when we visit Naples again, we would stay here again!

After travelling in Italy for the past month and staying in ~ 10 hotels this hotel takes the prize for the worst. Wi-Fi was intermittent and slow when it did work, staff did try and fix it but 'even if you stood on 1 leg in the corner of the room it was poor at best. The biggest problem was the temperature in the room, if you make a booking for a room that is "air conditioned" you should get air conditioning and not be told that it has been turned off to save on energy, we had 3 nights of a room that was a constant 26 degrees which was uncomfortable and difficult to sleep in. The staff did there best but the manager could not have cared less. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone.

We had a one night stay in Naples and used this hotel as our home base. The hotel looked extremely worn down. The bathroom smelled of sewage. For a four star hotel, it really missed expectations. All of that could be looked past… but the lady working the front desk was supremely unhelpful. I had emailed beforehand about having them help us arrange a COVID test, and they said they could direct us to a pharmacy upon arrival to easily get a test on the day of, not to worry. As a result, we didn’t get it in the previous location since we wanted to test as close to our flight as possible. When we got to the hotel, she sent us to two pharmacy locations, both of which said they didn’t have COVID tests. Frustrated after walking around 60 mins in the heat, we asked if she could help us call her other recommended pharmacies to confirm they had tests available. She said, “You just have to do it yourself, other guests have done it.” We basically wasted our last afternoon of vacation searching for tests because they had reassured us prior to our arrival that it would be easy to arrange. Being able to accurately direct travelers and to COVID testing locations seems like the bare minimum in 2021. We ended up cabbing to the airport and back since we confirmed ourselves that tests were available there. Really awful and unprofessional service (the hotel was also not busy and she was not helping other guests). The location is central and close to some tourist attractions, but the neighborhood is unfortunately pretty trashy (literally, there were piles of trash everywhere and a lot of litter flying around in the streets).

C’est un hôtel discret, de petite taille, situé dans une rue calme. Les chambres sont confortables, avec tout le nécessaire pour un séjour agréable. Le petit déjeuner est également très correct, avec du choix : œufs brouillés, bacon, saucisses, fruits, gâteaux… Il y a même des options sans gluten proposées sur un plateau dédié (gâteaux, biscottes, crackers), ce qui est appréciable. Le personnel est adorable, aussi bien au petit déjeuner qu’à la réception. Mention spéciale à Barbara, qui saura vous donner de précieux conseils et toutes les informations utiles pour profiter au mieux de votre séjour. L’hôtel est idéalement situé dans le centre historique, ce qui permet de tout faire à pied. Les restaurants ne manquent pas dans le quartier, et les grandes avenues sont accessibles en une dizaine de minutes à pied. Les transports, comme le métro, se trouvent également à proximité. Les graffitis sur les murs peuvent impressionner au premier abord, mais le quartier est sûr : nous ne nous sommes jamais sentis en danger. À noter : si vous arrivez depuis l’aéroport en taxi officiel, le tarif annoncé par l’hôtel est normalement d’environ 22 €. Cependant, certains chauffeurs peuvent tenter de demander davantage (30 à 35 €). N’hésitez pas à vérifier et à contester si nécessaire, même si le montant affiché est de 20€... En résumé, une très bonne adresse pour un séjour agréable, pratique et bien situé.

Abbiamo soggiornato a novembre 24 in questo hotel, restaurato maldestramente per darsi un tono e giustificare un prezzo (167 euro a notte) che non merita assolutamente, troppo alto. Colazione di pessima qualità, prodotti industriali, a Napoli bisogna davvero impegnarsi per presentare una colazione così. Ciliegina sulla torta, il consiglio sul parcheggio: ci presentano una convenzione con il "Parking Duomo - via dei Cimbri, 27" a 50 euro al giorno. Accettiamo, peccato che il parcheggio ce ne chiede 80, perchè la macchina era grande (station wagon). Riferiamo al receptionist dell'albergo, lo stesso con cui abbiamo parlato telefonicamente per prenotare, che "serenamente", afferma di avercelo detto, cosa assolutamente non vera. Inutile la contestazione, alla fine paghiamo 80 euro per il parcheggio (confrontare altra recensione, pessima, parcheggio da evitare). Ci aspettavamo anche un piccolo sconto in funzione di questo malinteso, ma non hanno avuto neanche questa attenzione verso il cliente. Unica nota positiva la posizione. Hotel sconsigliato per il pessimo rapporto prezzo-qualità-serietà.

Este acogedor hotel, tiene muchísimo encanto. La situación es perfecta, si no vas con coche, está en pleno casco histórico pero en una plaza bastante tranquila. Las habitaciones más económicas son pequeñas pero agradables, merece la pena pagar algo más por una habitación mejor y disponer de más espacio. La cama es muy cómoda, la habitación silenciosa y el baño completo y amplio, la única pega es que tiene bañera en vez de plato de ducha. El desayuno es sencillo pero hay tanto opciones dulces (muy rico) como saladas. Muy buena opción para alojarse en Nápoles.

Ein Hotel in Neapel, so zentral gelegen, dass es sich fast entschuldigen müsste, nicht mitten in einem Denkmal zu stehen – und doch ruhig genug, dass man den Lärm der Stadt nur als fernes Murmeln wahrnimmt. Die Betten sind so bequem, dass man sich fragt, ob der Schlaf nicht doch ein göttliches Geschenk ist. Die Einrichtung? Funktional und modern, was bedeutet: alles da, wo es sein sollte, ohne unnötigen Prunk. Der Service? So ausgezeichnet, dass man glaubt, jeder Mitarbeiter habe sich persönlich dazu verpflichtet, Ihre Laune zu verbessern. Und das Frühstück? Ausgezeichnet. Kurz: ein Ort, den ich jedem Reisenden mit bestem Gewissen ans Herz legen kann.

Prima di recensire questo hotel faccio una premessa… non ho mai soggiornato presso questa struttura, pertanto il mio giudizio è solo riferito ai contatti iniziali che ho avuto. Il 26 ottobre chiamo l’hotel per prenotare una camera per i giorni di ponte che iniziano il 31 ottobre… , chiedo di poter portare con me un cagnolino barboncino di 3kg… al momento mi rispondono che non accettano cani ma avrebbero richiesto al responsabile se fosse stato possibile fare un eccezione …. Mi invitano a fare un e-mail con la richiesta scritta… e da qui inizia la mia odissea , il giorno successivo chiamo diverse volte ( 27 ottobre) , mando , su loro suggerimento , altra e-mail di sollecito, considerato anche i tempi stretti in quanto sotto data , ( 4 giorni alla partenza) ma il responsabile che deve decidere se accettare i cani non è proprio reperibile … arriva il giorno 28 ottobre altre telefonate ma la risposta è sempre la medesima : devono contattare il responsabile per chiedergli se avrebbero potuto fare un’eccezione e accettare il mio cane … il giorno 28 ottobre , dopo l’ennesima telefonata , intorno all’ora di pranzo mi scrivono un e-mail dove mi dicono che sono al completo con la tipologia di camera che riservano agli ospiti con cani …… IO BASITA ….. tre giorni in attesa di avere una risposta dal responsabile per sapere se la struttura poteva fare un eccezione accettando il mio cane e poi mi rispondono che hanno pure tipologie di camere riservate ai cani ma purtroppo sono tutte prenotate….. non comprendono il motivo per il quale mi hanno preso in giro per tre giorni facendomi attendere una risposta dal responsabile quando nella loro politica alberghiera già accettavano cani tanto da aver riservato loro delle camere…… MAI PIÙ!!!!!!!!!

Ottima posizione, ma la piazzetta di ingresso all'hotel è terribile: potrebbe essere più curata e pulita, essendo un 4 stelle. La nostra junior suite era pulita, ma di dimensioni un po' ridotte. Una mattina ho lasciato l'accappatoio sporco sul pavimento e me lo sono ritrovato sempre sporco rimesso sull'appendino, come fosse pulito. Un'altra volta ho trovato un asciugamano macchiato tra i puliti. La colazione è varia ma più da business hotel che da turismo. La signora alla reception con i capelli scuri (in questo momento, in cinta) è stata molto scortese e scostante in tutte e due le occasioni in cui abbiamo interagito. L'unico tassista che ci ha rubato dei soldi in 10 gg a Napoli (ci ha dato resto sbagliato) è stato quello chiamato dalla suddetta receptionist. Giudizio generale: non consiglierò questo hotel né ai miei amici, né ai miei clienti.

Wir waren 4 Nächte in diesem Hotel. Die Lage an der Spaccanapoli inmitten des massentouristischen Zentrums ist gut, wenn man zu Fuß den Dom, die Cappella Sansevero, Santa Chiara etc. besuchen möchte. Wir haben fast alles zu Fuß erledigt, man kann zur Funicolare Montesanto laufen, zum Vomero hochfahren und wieder runter laufen, ebenso durch die Quartieri Spagnoli zur Porta Nolana, um dort in die Circumvesuviana einzusteigen. Ebenso zum alten Hafen etc. Am Flughafen steigt man in den Alibus, fährt bis zur Haltestelle am Hafen und rollert problemlos durch die Stadt, wenn man gut zu Fuß ist. Es gibt in der Spaccanapoli viele massentouristischen Restaurants und leider nur wenige gute! Unser Zimmer war ein Classic-Zimmer, über Booking.com gebucht. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß, ebenso das Bad. Es war ruhig und sauber. Aber, es gab nur ein Fenster, welches sich in einen nicht beleuchteten Schacht öffnete, in welchem sich die Feuertreppe befand. Es war im 2. OG, den Himmel konnte man in diesem Stockwerk durch das Zimmerfenster nicht sehen! Die Verbindung konnte weder mit WIFI noch mit den mobilen Netzen hergestellt werden . (Die mobilen Netze waren während unserer gesamten Reise übrigens schlecht.) Man musste sich am späten Abend außerhalb des Gebäudes über die Wetter-App informieren, wie die Kleiderordnung des Folgetags sein sollte. Wir haben in dem Zimmer, da das Wetter gut war lediglich geschlafen. Das Frühstück wurde ebenso in einem dunklen Raum, welcher auch bei strahlendem Sonnenschein künstlich beleuchtet werden musste und ergab ein Kellerambiente. Sortiment italienisch. Schlechte trockene Croissants und Pain au chocolat etc. Der Kaffee war dünn und geschmacklos, man konnte aber einen Americano oder Cappucciono bestellen. Die Keller alle an beiden Tagen überfordert. Die Atmosphäre im gesamten Hotel ist nüchtern und kalt. Die Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel in Napoli ist hervorragend! Man benötigt kein Auto! Auch Pompeji besucht man am besten mit der Circumvesuviana.

Ottima posizione, camera assegnata leggermente piccola ma accogliente: Non ottima l’insonorizzazione purtroppo. Per un hotel 4 stelle colazione proposta proprio “misera” soprattutto trovandoci in un luogo così ricco di prodotti invitanti, “costringendoci” a provare una delle tante pasticcerie presenti nel centro! Eccellente la receptionist ( ragazza con capelli rossi) che ci ha consigliato un itinerario pazzesco!

Hotel de tres bon niveau Tres bien insonorisé Personnel au top. Mention tres bien pour Barbara ! Petit dejeuner continental au meilleur standard. A 50 m de la rue Librai, super animee Metro Duomo a 5 min à pied, idealement situé pour rayonner.. On a pris la visite de Pompei avec guide francais. A prendre sans hesitation. Seul petit conseil: Prendre une chambre avec une vue sur extérieur, sinon faut pas être clostro. Hotel plein ville dense...

Nel pieno centro storico un magnifico Hotel di charme, dotato di tutti i requisiti in grado di soddisfare aspettative anche molto esigenti. Il Palazzo Decumani, risalente ai primi del novecento, è stato oggetto di un totale restauro, fatto in modo sapiente e accurato, che ne ha salvaguardato la sua bellezza originaria, valorizzandone tradizione e modernità. Siamo stati accolti dalla sig.ra Barbara in modo squisito, con cordialità e professionalità, che ci ha proposto una splendida camera deluxe al quarto piano, la 404 , dalla cui finestra si godeva la superba vista del Vesuvio. La camera è risultata assolutamente...perfetta : molto ampia e luminosa perché posta in posizione angolare, con due ampie finestre; silenziosa perché ben insonorizzata; arredata con gusto e in modo accurato con mobili chiari in legno ; ampi tendaggi in grado di oscurare completamente la stanza; lettone king size; grande scrittoio con TV, poltrone e sofà ai piedi del letto. Vassoio di cortesia con bollitore, posto su grande cassettiera. Frigo bar ben fornito e cassaforte. Anche la stanza da bagno era molto confortevole : ampia e con finestra, prodotti marca Etro, accappatoi, phon a parete. E per finire, dulcis in fundo, una colazione buonissima a buffet, con dolci ogni giorno diversi: croissant, sfogliatelle ricce e frolle, torta caprese al cioccolato, pastiera, torta di mele e ciambelloni. Una vera delizia per il palato. Squisito il cappuccino, ricco di schiuma e cacao. E ovviamente anche la zona 'salata' offriva buona scelta con prodotti di qualità. Da menzionare il personale di sala: simpatici, attenti alle varie richieste, professionali e davvero garbati. Insomma, grazie a tutti voi dello staff e direzione abbiamo trascorso nella sempre splendida Napoli giornate bellissime. Un Hotel assolutamente consigliato dove contiamo di ritornare.

Superbe emplacement en plein coeur du centre historique, mais pourtant préservé de l agitation et du bruit. Chambres spacieuses, petit dej varié. N hésitez pas à demander directement aux serveurs, serveuse, du vrai cafe, espresso, cappuccino ou aitre, parce que celui de la machine c est plutot du cafe allonge de base. Accueil sympathique par les equipes. Je recommande.

Das Hotel fängt an den 4.Stern zu verlieren. Die Abflüsse im Bad und Handwaschbecken haben ordentlich Rückstau. Optisch sind die Zimmer in Ordnung wenn aber die Betten frisch überzogen werden und das Leintuch ein Loch hat denke ich die Bademäntel machen das nicht wett. Oder der Fernseher den man in dieser aufregenden Stadt nicht wirklich braucht. Und beim wieder auffüllen sollte man auch das WC-Papier nicht vergessen!

Eccellente! Le camere sono bellissime, molto curate e funzionali. Pulizia impeccabile. La signora Vera e il suo staff sanno rendere ogni soggiorno un'esperienza unica. L'hotel è situato in pieno centro storico, quindi in posizione strategica per visitare la città. Super consigliato.
