Personale incompetente ( non sapevano che ingredienti ci fossero nella torta Migliaccio e ci siamo dovuti alzare per vederla) qualità pessima ( il biscotto di mandorle era di marmo) tavoli rovinati e servizio piatti sbeccato (incommentabile), sporco sugli altri tavoli. Non c è nemmeno un bagno. Peccato perché la location ha un grande potenziale. Va bene solo per bere un caffè senza pretese

07/12/2025Siamo arrivati al locale alle 15:30, ci sediamo fuori ad un tavolo consultando il menù e aspettando che un cameriere venisse a prendere l’ordinazione. INVANO. Passati 20 minuti, entriamo a chiedere se sarebbe uscito qualcuno o avessimo dovuto ordinare in cassa. Ci dicono di ordinare in cassa. Alla cassa ci dicono di sederci invece comodamente fuori che sarebbero usciti a prendere l’ordine. Usciamo, ci risediamo, esce un cameriere e ci ignora. Allora ci alziamo e ci sediamo all’interno del locale. Dopo un’ulteriore attrsa, nessun cameriere tra la decina presente in sala si avvicina al tavolo. Ce ne siamo andati. PESSIMA ESPERIENZA E PESSIMO SERVIZIO!

14/07/2025Classico bar interno di un museo. Utile per chi ha bisogno di una pausa. Ambiente gradevole, addetti giovani a cui consiglierei maggior cordialità. Come tutti questi tipi di bar i prezzi sono un po' piu' cari. Ma nel complesso un buon posto.

12/05/2025Eravamo io e mia mamma, appena ci sediamo ci portano un caffè ed un biscotto che non era nostro, e fin qui nulla di male, si può sbagliare tavolo ci mancherebbe. Aspettiamo per ordinare, faccio cenno alla cameriera che siamo pronte, ma nulla non mi guarda nemmeno e va a sparecchiare un tavolo; nel mentre l’altro cameriere si mette a chiacchierare per circa 10’ con una cliente, lo chiamo per ordinare e ordiniamo un succo di frutto è una focaccia col cotto (ci portano il succo ed un panino col crudo e formaggio, essendo incinta gli faccio presente che non posso mangiarlo e che non avevo ordinato quello). Non tocchiamo nulla e diciamo al cameriere che va bene così e che non volevano nient’altro, si scusa per l’ordine sbagliato! Quindi ci alziamo senza pagare, non avendo toccato nulla ripeto. Il cameriere ci insegue fino all’ingresso della paninoteca ripetendo che ci avrebbe dato l’ordine corretto ecc, nel mentre entriamo e mentre siamo negli armadietti a lasciare gli zaini ci raggiunge non solo il cameriere ma anche il capo cameriere, insinuando che noi non volevamo pagare per una consumazione corretta. Quindi sconsigliatissimo

11/05/2025Amo Fernanda Wittgens a cui il caffè è intitolato, per questo quando ho un appuntamento speciale o a cui tengo particolarmente, lo organizzo lì. O almeno lo facevo fino ad oggi…già da un po’ avevo notato questo cameriere piccolino un po’ sopra le righe, decisamente troppo invadente, ma ero sempre riuscita a contenere la sua esuberanza senza troppi fastidi. Oggi invece mi è successa una cosa che ha dell’incredibile. I fatti sono questi: pranzo con un amico che non vedo da sei anni perché vive a NY. Non riesco a prenotare perché il telefono risulta sempre spento. Allora decido di recarmi in anticipo questa mattina per essere sicura di avere un tavolo. Mi siedo e aspetto il mio amico, nonostante avessi dichiarato fin da subito che volevamo pranzare solo dopo un quarto d’ora vengo informata che la cucina è chiusa, per mancanza di personale dicono. Ci accontentiamo di un tramezzino e una fetta di dolce, anche se ovviamente rimaniamo un po’ delusi. Ordiniamo tutto subito e ci fanno pagare, paghiamo. Una volta pagato ci dicono che avevano scordato di inserire l’acqua nel conto, quindi la paghiamo a parte. Mangiamo e alla fine ci portano il dolce, da pagare separatamente anche se incluso nell’unico ordine iniziale che avevamo fatto. Quindi in tutto per due tramezzini e una fetta di dolce abbiamo pagato in tre diverse volte. Comincio a rendere evidente il mio fastidio, perchè tutte queste dimenticanze loro hanno significato per noi una continua interruzione delle nostre chiacchiere. All’ennesima richiesta mi sono indispettita come dicevo, e ho fatto presente che non eravamo riusciti a finire un discorso a causa delle loro interruzioni: a quel punto succede l’impensabile, il cameriere piccolino, che mi dicono essere il responsabile del locale, viene al nostro tavolo e con un atteggiamento passive aggressive inammissibile si mette a parlare in inglese con il mio amico, che parla benissimo italiano come aveva fatto fino a quel momento, e in pratica trattandolo come un idiota gli dice che la politica del locale è quella, e in sostanza che è un problema nostro se non capiamo e. Ecco, il modo di questo cameriere era proprio da sfottò, e allora non ci ho visto più, ho prima cercato di farlo smettere dicendogli che eravamo stati già interrotti mille volte e letteralmente pregandolo di lasciarci finire il pranzo in pace, ma lui non smetteva e quindi ho dovuto alzare la voce per farlo smettere, non volendo subire il suo pippone totalmente fuori luogo. Non tornerò mai più, ed è un vero p cecato vista la cornice stupenda del chiostro di Brera, purtroppo la gestione del caffè non è all’altezza del luogo che la ospita, speriamo cambi presto

Una donna così dà il nome ad un posto bello sì, ma con una gestione terribile: cameriere sgarbato, mi dà del tu anche di fronte alla evidente differenza di età e comunque sono una cliente, si scordano le ordinazioni, le confondono, mi devo alzare per chiedere un caffè dopo una focaccia farcita di livello panetteria di periferia. Meglio uscire per Brera, di posti ce ne sono tanti!

Ah, un nota specifica: il cameriere calvo con la barba imbarazza gli altri clienti con battute fuori luogo, oltre ad avere degli evidenti saliscendi umorali. Il personale è quindi la nota peggiore

27/12/2024Ieri, 26 dicembre, siamo entrare nella caffetteria per pranzare perché di lì a poco avremmo visitato Palazzo Citterio. Non c'era nessun avviso che indicasse che la cucina era chiusa, l'abbiamo saputo dalla cameriera quando è arrivata al tavolo per prendere le ordinazioni. Visto che ci eravamo già sedute, abbiamo deciso di restare, i toast però erano già finiti (erano le 13,15), rimanevano solo dei croissant salati e delle torte dolci; nessuna alternativa vegetariana (potevano solo togliere il prosciutto dal croissant) e per i celiaci soltanto le patatine in sacchetto. Ordiniamo allora 3 croissant salati (di cui uno senza prosciutto), 1 croissant piccolo, un pacchetto di patatine e una bottiglietta d'acqua. Dopo un bel po' arrivano i croissant che scopriamo essere dolci, c'era persino lo zucchero sopra. Quando vado a pagare, il cassiere mi chiede se era andato tutto bene, gli rispondo allora che i croissant salati erano in realtà dolci e lui seraficamente mi dice che va bene così, che lui li ha provati e che sono buonissimi. Nel conto di ben 30 euro, il croissant senza prosciutto l'ho pagato 8 euro come gli altri. Mi sono sentita presa in giro.

22/12/2024Nessuno discute sul piacere e la bellezza di mangiare un boccone nella caffetteria del museo d'arte piú importante di Milano (finalmente anche qui come nei maggiori musei del mondo). Ma... chiedo una spremuta d'arancia e non ce l'hanno (a dicembre non han trovato le arance???), chiedo il toast al salmone elencato nel menú e non ne hanno piú, ordino una brioche salata farcita e me ne portano una dolce, con zucchero in testa, farcita al prosciutto. Vabbè... Ma poi mi chiedono di pagare mentre ancora la sto addentando. Infine mi portano il conto ancora prima che possa ordinare il dessert che avevo addocchiato... Insomma, servizio pessimo, soprattutto a fronte del conto, ovviamente salato.

Hanno inoltre tolto lo sconto per gli studenti dell’Accademia dopo mesi di continue lotte per ottenere un minimo di dignità in quanto clienti abituali. Spero possa cambiare nel corso dei prossimi anni.

17/04/2024Personale incompetente. Ordinato due insalate, di cui una senza carote. Arrivano le insalate uguali, abbiamo dovuto chiedere le posate, del pane e dei condimenti. (Poi se se si aspettano che mangiamo con le mani, è un altra storia) Chiudiamo in bellezza con i caffè nel vassoio del cameriere che girovagavano fra i tavoli, chiesto il conto e per tre volte abbiamo richiesto il pos inutilmente. Abbiamo pagato in cassa. Sarebbe stato da andarsene senza pagare, tanto non se ne sarebbero nemmeno accorti.

04/06/2026A beautiful and atmospheric caffe right next to the Brera gallery. A wide variety of goods and drinks, fast and efficient service, tasteful art on the walls. The pastries are nothing special but the atmosphere more than makes up for it, being a little oasis after the emotions that the gallery next door has just evoked in you. Prices are good.

24/02/2026The Pinacoteca di Brera in the Baroque Palazzo Brera houses one of the world’s foremost collections of Italian paintings - it’s also home to this great caffè perfect for an aperitivo and spot of people watching. In the loggia of the upper floor overlooking the courtyard it's the perfect spot for a drink and a snack to just sit, relax and soak up the atmosphere of this magnificent palazzo!

15/02/2026Nice atmosphere, with the expected amount of noise for a museum cafeteria. Food was nice (we got the vegetable foccacia and the chocolate cake). What spoiled everything is the waiter's rudeness when I asked if an item on the menu was available and he mocked me and my English accent for a minute straight, even though English is not my mother tongue. What was that even about?

02/01/2026EIn kleiner Geheimtipp dirket im Brera-Viertel. Im Gebäude der Kunstakademie Mailand liegt in der ersten Etage dieses sehr schöne Cafe. Ideal für einen Kaffee, Prosecco oder Wein und kleinen Snack und dabei die Besucherströme beobachten.

12/12/2025We ordered only two cappuccinos but waited over 10 minutes, while customers who arrived later were served first. After repeatedly asking, we were finally told to pick up the coffee ourselves at the counter. After using a student discount, the way we were treated felt clearly discriminatory and even racially biased. If a restaurant offers a student discount, it should never result in worse service or unequal treatment. Respect should be the same for all customers, regardless of status, nationality, or race.

24/11/2025This is the 3rd time I visited Milan in the past year and so far I’ve had great dining experience. I went to Fernanda Bistro Cafe at the Pinacoteca di Brera and took a quick break and ordered few items. To be honest, I did not expect much of this place, it’s inside the museum, lots of people, students , tourists. First it’s too loud, unorganized and the staffs were all over the place. We were literally just a little hungry and waiting to enter the Museum. After I made the order, the server required me to pay upfront right away!! I didn’t even get our drinks yet and neither the food. First, I found that extremely rude. I asked myself why would he give me the bill without even serving what so ordered!!! Anyways, I paid the bill and waited for my order. I started observing the waiters and they give the bill to other customers to pay ONLY after they finished their food. Yet, I was asked to pay upfront without even being served. That irritated me so much! Did they profiled me that I will not be paying my order? Really disappointed. . . Btw I’m a small coloured South East Asian man -Filipino Anyways, I got my food, the pastry mmmm not the best, I’m not very picky I can move on - didn’t even finish it! Like I told myself earlier, I don’t have high expectation from the beginning. Then, as I finish my drink, I realized there was something in my glass a “2 small fly” which I found really nasty! Definitely not going to return to this cafe bistro. Sorry but my rating is 0.5/5 Disappointing

11/11/2025I was put off by the reviews but delighted at the experience and food. It's a lovely setting with table service. We went for breakfast - got lovely brioches (croissants - multiple selections available) and coffee and fresh orange juice. Service was great, and reasonable.

Держитесь когда человек поест и только тогда идите с чеком. Посредственное кофе Не рекомендую Чай 5 евро кружка и пакетик, когда кофе 2,5 евро. Внимание 5 евро. Это даже не чайник. Брускетта с лососем 10 евро. Естественно это выглядит как обычный бутерброд сделанный своими руками

19/09/2025Nicht zu empfehlen, wir wollten am Tresen bestellen weil dort auch andere bestellt haben und wurden aufgefordert am Tisch zu bestellen. Dieser Kellner kam dann ewig nicht zu uns, irgendwann kamen andere die vor uns bedient wurden. Als wir dann nochmal zum Tresen gingen wurden wir dann wieder aufgefordert am Tisch zu bestellen. Wieder kam der Kellner nicht. Zeitverschwendung, nicht zu empfehlen

28/08/2025Also es war eigentlich ein interessanter aber unhöflicher Aufenthalt, wir sind aus dem Museum gekommen und wollten uns zwei Cappuccino und Wassermelone holen. Hat auch eigentlich gut funktioniert. Wir sind dann einfach an unserem Tisch gesessen nachdem wir das Essen bekommen haben. Nach vielleicht 20min kommt dann der Kellner OHNE DAS WIR IHN GERUFEN HABEN und hält uns das Bezahlgerät vor die Nase und fördert uns auf zu bezahlen. Wir haben dann bezahlt und sind dann einfach weiter sitzen geblieben. Meiner Meinung nach sehr sehr sehr unhöflich vor allem da wir einfach nur da saßen und nichts gemacht haben und in Betracht darauf das es ein Cafe ist wo man normalerweise auch mal einfach nur sitzt.

05/08/2025Wanted a dessert after passing through the museum, and well, the chocolate cake was dry (finished the coffee before the cake) and the latte macchiato was meh, which is kinda bad considering the Italian standard. I was also charged when they brought the food to the table, which I found kind of rude!

16/07/2025The brioscia is very good and to die for. But by god the waiter is kinda rude (by other reviews you will know who) and made it unpleasant what could be the cherry on top of the cake at the end of the visit. Nevertheless, the pastry is good and the other staff were nice.

11/06/2025Hot and thirsty when we first got to the museum we sat down and asked for mineral water. We misunderstood our waiter and thought we needed to order food so we did. A staff member with an Australian accent noticed our confusion and came over and was very polite and offered to cancel our food order or otherwise make fair adjustments. We left with a good opinion of the cafe staff.

14/05/2025I liked that it’s a quiet place away from the crowds, inside the Pinacoteca. The service was too slow, I waited 30 minutes for my food to arrive. But the Riso al salto was very good.

25/04/2025Before we finished eating, the service staff with his very mean smirk couldn't wait to urge us to take the credit card machine and let us hurry up and check out, this bar is also the first time in three years in Italy that I have seen tap water charges, the price is high, the service is not good, and there is no more discount for the students of the college.....

22/04/2025Je ne recommande absolument pas ce café, dans lequel vous pouvez également manger, ce que nous avons fait. Service très limite, personnel hautain, plats en quantité limité et très chers, sans goût exceptionnel. La décoration est cependant sympathique et reste dans le style du musée, c'est le seul point positif.

05/01/2025Very unpleasant behavior from the waiter because we were taking pictures without making any noise, and we weren’t even taking pictures from the bar , just ourselves. The potential of the bar is very high with nice environment but very rude staff and I still don’t understand why we couldn’t take pictures. I mean it’s just a bar not a museum!!!!

30/12/2024Place with big potential, it was nice to sit there and relax with a cup of coffee after 3-hour visit at Pinacoteca. We ordered some pastries (all very fresh) and coffee. Prices are high. We weren't satified with service - waiter was impolite.

16/11/2024Not pleasant experience. The guy at counter is really nice but who’s in charge of delivering the food is kind of racist as he kept ignoring my missing apple cake request. If he could not understand English then it’s fine, but he and other colleague ignored when I show the receipt (Italian on it). Only after I turned to the third guy finally I received my apple cake.😅

26/09/2024Después de un recorrido de cuatro horas fue un gran remate almorzar en el Caffè Fernanda. Fue un almuerzo rápido porque debíamos seguir, pero valió la pena. El pollo al curry con arroz basmati es un excelente opción y vale la pena por su configuración tipo almuerzo. Nos ubicamos en la parte exterior y ese día el sol nos regaló una maravillosa tarde de otoño.

07/05/2024Expected more. Ordered cappuccino, which had too much milk, the taste of the coffee was almost non existent and boring (expected more from such place). Also, usually you are given a little cookie in addition to the coffee, here it isn’t a thing, which also didn’t meet my expectations. This cafe is more like a fast-food cafe rather than a proper coffee place. I recommend for casual coffee drink, but don’t recommend if you want to experience an interesting coffee in a high quality place. The other cappuccino that I ordered was completely different (they are very not consistent). Was much stronger, almost bitter, with too much coffee. Both coffees were not done properly. The waiters are nice and polite. But they forgot about our bill and we had to ask once again for it. They then didn’t know what is going on, and even forgot if we have paid already or not.

13/04/2024Kleines Café in der Brera. Es gibt eine gute Auswahl an Getränken und kleinen Speisen z.B. Kuchen. Das Ambiente ist sehr stylisch und gemütlich. Die Preise sind angemessen und der Zugang ist barrierefrei. Die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
