08/04/2026Elegante caffè‑ristorante nel cuore di Milano (Corso Giacomo Matteotti), perfetto per colazioni, brunch, pranzi leggeri o aperitivi sofisticati. Sant Ambroeus è un locale storico che ha saputo reinventarsi mantenendo un certo fascino milanese con un tocco internazionale. Gli spazi sono curati, chic ma non eccessivamente formali, ideali per chi vuole un posto bello dove fare colazione, fare due chiacchiere o fermarsi a un aperitivo con stile.

05/01/2026Ieri domenica 4 gennaio 26.sono entrato con un'amica, ore 16,10... in attesa di un tavolino per un tè e cappuccino ecc... la commessa maleducatissima, ma bionda, ci ha sbattuto fuori , con la scusa che la gente doveva ancora pranzare.. alle 16... mi pareva fosse una pasticceria non un ristorante , comunque siamo usciti in fretta, non sia mai, direi eleganza e classe da vendere

29/12/2025Pessima esperienza. La receptionist ha sostenuto di non avere tavoli liberi, quando invece molti tavoli risultavano liberi e senza alcun biglietto di prenotazione. La sensazione è stata che si voglia far accomodare solo un certo tipo di clientela, ma non si capisce quale.. è già la terza volta che veniamo “rimbalzati”. Sconsigliatissimo per questo motivo. All’uscita abbiamo tentato di prenotare ma al telefono non ha mai risposto nessuno e dal sito non è stato possibile farlo. Ci sono stata moltissime volte in passato ma ovviamente non ci ritornerò più…Milano offre di meglio!

17/12/2025Questa mattina sono andato al Sant'Ambreus per acquistare 5 panettoni da 1 kg come faccio tutti gli anni perché i loro panettoni sono davvero a 5 stelle. Pago con carta e riprendo la metro per tornare a casa e guardando lo scontrino mi accorgo che mi hanno fatto pagare i panettoni da 1,5 kg invece che da 1 kg. Torno in negozio faccio notare l'errore e mi rimborsano la differenza (ben 105 Euro) scusandosi. Da un posto così mi aspetto una professionalità ed un attenzione al cliente un po' diversa da quella che ho trovato. Sopratutto una scusa tipo "e sa il periodo è pesante " non andrebbe mai usata. Insomma mi dispiace ma è stato un vero disastro. Forse la loro politica non lo prevede ma, offrire almeno un caffè per scusarsi non sarebbe stato male. Qualche anno fa l'avrebbero sicuramente fatto, ma parliamo di ere geologiche diverse. Nella fretta non ho controllato lo scontrino, ma se ci sarà una prossima volta sarà mia premura controllare. 09/12/2025Locale storico e iconico della città, un must per chi visita ma anche per chi vive a milano. Consigliata la colazione con il loro panettone, davvero buonissimo! Ovviamente troverete il locale sempre molto busy, specialmente al mattino sarà davvero pienissimo sia in sala che al banco, per me vale la pena!

05/12/2025Sono entrata oggi pomeriggio nel tardo pomeriggio con mio marito e mio figlio di 4 mesi con l'intenzione di fare merenda in un posto caldo mentre fuori faceva freddo ma, quando abbiamo chiesto di sederci, la cameriera guardando la presenza del passeggino ha mostrato un'espressione "unpleasant" rispondendo che sarebbe andata controllare. Non era necessario, la sala era quasi vuota, è tornata dicendoci che non c'erano tavoli dove poter stare con il passeggino. Mi chiedo il perchè di questa scelta, per evitare che la quiete del locale potesse venire interrotta da eventuali pianti/vocine di un bambino, che è tanto tenero ma fuori dal loro locale? Oppure la scelta è stata dovuto al fatto che in inverno io e mio marito abbiamo scelto di indossare una giacca piumino invece che il classico cappottino,cosa che forse avrebbe rovinato l'estetica del locale? Resterò con questo dubbio, ma la cosa certa è che non ci tornerò piú.

Consigliatissimo Sono stato lì con la famiglia questa mattina e per due ore mi è sembrato di essere in vacanza GRAZIE!!!!

21/11/2025Arrivo alle 15 per bere qualcosa e chiedo la possibilità di sedermi, la ragazza all’ingresso mi risponde che bisogna aspettare almeno 10-15 minuti perché stanno ancora servendo il pranzo. Peccato fossero palesemente visibili almeno 6-8 tavoli vuoti e non riservati. Ambiente confusionario, una baraonda, servizio che, vista la mia esperienze, non posso che giudicare scortese, supponente e arrogante. Faccio presente che questa è la quarta esperienza identica, vissuta negli ultimi 2 anni, in cui passando da Milano (dopo averci vissuto per trent’anni) avrei voluto riassaporare il piacere di fare una colazione o un aperitivo al Sant’Ambroeus. Purtroppo devo arrendermi all’evidenza e notare che uno degli storici salotti di Milano, dove in passato mi sono sempre sentito ben accolto se non addirittura coccolato, si sia trasformato in un’elegante mensa per la pausa pranzo. Da evitare.

Abbiamo testato gli spaghetti al sugo e le pappardelle al ragù, entrambi approvati a pieni voti dal nostro comitato degustazione improvvisato 😋 In questa puntata di “andiamo a spendere soldi, ma felici con la pancia piena”, mi hanno accompagnato le fantastiche Ludovica, Stefi e Aliciah – squadra affiatata e stomaco preparato. Chiusura in dolcezza con un tiramisù che merita un applauso e forse anche un bis. Locale accogliente, piatti genuini e atmosfera perfetta per una pranzo tra amici. Ci torniamo sicuro!

29/05/2026I came here just now to eat. Unfortunately the reviews are correct and they are racist. They wouldn’t sit me in the main room where the restaurant was 70% empty. The food was bland. I asked for a side salad too and they gave me a main course plate and overcharged me for no reason too. I hated how I was treated. I was wearing designer, diamond earrings etc but casual. I hope the owner sees this and I will be writing to the owner themselves. This place is 100% racist vibes and you can’t tell me otherwise. This is under me real name as I feel this strongly about it.

26/05/2026I love the place for coffee. Check champagne & bubbles prices for single glasses before ordering, or you will be really surprised (not positive way though). This pricing is beyond reasonable.

19/05/2026Schönes traditionelles Restaurant mit sehr zuvorkommendem Service. Die Speisen sind frisch und delikat zubereitet, jedoch sind die Portionen eher zurückhaltend. Je nachdem welchen Tisch man erhält, kann es etwas eng werden. Reservieren unbedingt empfohlen!

14/05/2026This could be my favorite Italian restaurant here in Milan (Waby fave sushi). It is nice place and not cheap but very worth it. Classic bolognese to burgers. Great for Sunday brunch or business meeting.

08/03/2026Such a lovely lunch with my 12 year old. I mentioned before the visit when booking the reservation that it was his first trip to Milan and would be his 13th birthday the following week. So the brought him a little cake after lunch. Service, food and atmosphere were wonderful.

01/03/2026Traumatizing experience at SA Milano tonight! Regular customer at other locations and wanted to try the original restaurant. Food and service was as expected from SA, but there was another patron that was shockingly over-served and ended up vomiting in the corner of the room while staff looked on and watched for over five minutes before finally escorting him to a bathroom. He was sitting at a table of five near me when I arrived and became increasingly louder over the course of the evening. He was so loud that his fellow party members asked him to quiet down repeatedly and reminded him that there were other patrons. He started yelling loudly at his sister on multiple occasions, cursing loudly, calling her a profanities and telling her to stop talking. Finally, he stood up from the table abruptly and walked to the corner of the room, where he starting retching repeatedly and spitting up into a napkin. Staff were very attentive asking him if he needed anything, but at no time did they try to remove him from the dining room where he was making an incredible spectacle of himself. I asked my server for the bill and noted that I wanted to get out before the situation with this gentleman deteriorated further. I paid my bill and when leaving, I saw the manager by the door and said that I have never witnessed something like that in a fine dining establishment in my life and I needed to leave. All he said was something to the effect of “yes, it is unfortunate.” All in all, I believe management was irresponsible in their service of this gentleman with respect to his alcohol consumption given that he was obviously inebriated. Also, I felt that they could have removed him from the room, so that other patrons did not have to listen to him wretch for quite so long.

21/01/2026Um típico restaurante italiano, longe dos turistas. Espaço simples, mas cheio de significados. Comida farta, saborosa, com gosto de casa da Nonna. Os garçons simpáticos e prestativos. Localizado na badalada Milão, é um desses lugares pra você curtir sem pressa, conversar, dar boas risadas e provar um bom vinho. Foi tão bom que só consegui registrar o vinho e a fachada do restaurante.

29/12/2025雰囲気は良いです。 リゾットとカツレツを頂きました。リゾットは美味しかったですが、カツレツは値段と質が見合っていないと思います。日本で食べるチェーン店のとんかつの方が美味しい，，， それと、サービスも微妙です。他のテーブルには塩胡椒やオリーブオイルなどの調味料が提供されていましたが、私たちのテーブルには無し。チェックのレシートを手渡すときも無言で投げ捨てるように渡されました。 アジア人だからでしょうか？悲しいです。

29/12/2025One of my favorite spots in Milan for lunch and dinner. Coffees are incredible you can stand by the bar and drink one as well. For lunch or dinner I’d recommend the steak, chicken paillard, risotto with saffron, artichoke salad and tiramisu was incredible. Everything is good here and staff was incredible. I’ve been to all of their locations and this was my favorite.

25/12/2025We accidentally reserved a table for 7:30 AM and arrived at 7:30 PM. The hosts were so accommodating. They seated us anyway on a holiday!! The food was spectacular as always. An appetizer with pumpkin, black truffle, pickled radish, and chestnuts was exquisite as were our primo and secondo. The wait staff was gracious as usual. We love this restaurant!

15/12/2025Went here with a date. Excellent service, drinks and food. The staff was so nice and friendly. Came in for brunch - Tried the Avo Toast, Pancakes, Salmon, and the Bacon & Eggs. The Hugo Spritz was great and enjoyed an espresso before we left. Excited for the Los Angeles location to open back home.

11/12/2025We had an unfortunate experience at this restaurant. We ordered a pasta dish, and a staff member came over with fresh truffle and started shaving it onto our plate without informing us that it came with an additional charge. Only when the bill arrived did we find out that the pasta cost €94. We felt upset and misled, especially because we had no idea how much truffle was being added or how the price was calculated. When we questioned it, they agreed to waive only 50% of the truffle charge. Please be careful when dining in Italy—always ask about extra charges before you order or agree to anything added at the table.

09/12/2025The food was delicious, not too salty, just perfect. The service was astonishing warming and kind. The waiter at our table was very caring if we were satisfied with our dishes. We were very happy with everything. Highly recommend the Vitello Tonnato and risotto. We had Sbagliato and it was great. The fried seafood was also good, but a bit too oily.

06/12/2025I visited Sant Ambroeus with my family (my wife and my 4-month son), in a cold Winter day. Upon entering I noticed that the main room was basically empty, but the waitress surprisingly shared that no table was available at the moment, thing that basically revealed a very unpleasent selective environment with a quite quaint attitude. I also like stressing hat given my upbringing and my jobs I am a person who might judge people, but I naturally tend to avoid It as it`s a provincial mindset, but being excluded by a waitress who judges people from a jacked rather than a coat was definitely ourtagiously rediculous. I also remark that the place showed to be quite non-family friendly as well as pretty unelegant in terms of bahaviour. A classy place should exert elegance via a welcoming attitude along with a gentle professionalism, rather than via a very weird judging and disagreeable attitude. Strongly not reccomended !

29/11/2025Хорошая атмосфера, тихо, приятное обслуживание. Салат с тунцом и анчоусами вкусный. Но анчоус всего один маленький слайс. Паста вкусная, но не стандартная, возможно, пойдет не всем. Коктейли хорошие, выбор приличный.

24/11/2025We arrived and our table wasn’t ready, so they made us wait about 5 minutes, which we didn’t appreciate. We ordered the green salad and it was literally just lettuce with olive oil and lemon. The artichoke wasn’t good at all — it wasn’t cooked properly. The carpaccio was really good, though. The parmesan risotto wasn’t good. The veal Milanese was okay, nothing special. The fish was actually good. Overall, the experience was mixed.

24/11/2025Racist and Unprofessional Behavior I visited this restaurant on Monday, November 24th at 7:30 PM and asked for a table for two. The waitress — a Caucasian thin short haired woman with brown hair — asked if I had a reservation. When I said no, she immediately told me “we can’t seat you, we’re fully booked.” The restaurant was completely empty, and when I pointed that out, she said “the reservations are coming soon.” I checked their website on the spot and found plenty of available reservations. So I booked a table and returned. Suddenly she said “Oh, that’s strange… okay you can come in.” I have been to Italy many times and I have never experienced this kind of discrimination before — I was honestly shocked. I genuinely believe she treated me this way because I wear a hijab. This experience felt discriminatory and unprofessional. I do not recommend this place.

08/11/2025One of my favorite breakfast spots in Milan, I simply can't resist stopping by every time I'm in town. Their signature dish—the panettone french toast—is a true masterpiece. Every bite comes together in perfect harmony, making it an absolutely irresistible and delicious treat. Truly, a breakfast experience like no other!

19/10/2025It’s classic and classy. Nothing mind-blowing but safe value. Good to go with a group but make sure to book beforehand of course. I had the linguine al lemone e gambero rosso. Their cocktails are top notch. Had a very good boulevardier.

05/10/2025I visited Sant Ambroeus in Milan with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. As part of the aperitif, they served us a pork-based dish without asking or warning us beforehand—which is highly disrespectful, especially considering dietary restrictions or religious beliefs. In addition to that, the location does not feel safe at all. There are frequent incidents of bag thefts, and the restaurant does not seem to take proper measures to prevent them. It’s not a place where you can relax and enjoy your meal with peace of mind. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to families or tourists looking for a safe and respectful dining experience in Milan.
