Had lunch on 15/6 and the food was beyond amazing! Alessio was really friendly and attentive, and we definitely had a great time here. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy some fresh and authentic pasta in Rome!

Cool concept but somewhat overrated. This restaurant is well known on social media but I personally didn’t enjoy it. If you like very firm pastas et crispy bacon, this is definitely something for you, I personally didn’t enjoy it that much. Service was great overall except for the rude man we paid. And the vibe was quite ok. Make sure you arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes in advance before opening time. As the queue can be very long. From my experience, you can find better for less wait and cheaper prices. Still an enjoyable experience.

Horrible experience. Avoid this tourist trap! We waited 30 minutes for a table and another 40 minutes for the food, only for them to bring just one dish. When we asked to eat together, they lied straight to our faces saying the other plate was ready, but five minutes later another waiter told us it wasn't. The service is incredibly rude and chaotic (they even brought us just one glass for a bottle of water). We ended up leaving without eating, along with other frustrated couples. They still charged us €4 for water and a €4 cover charge for absolutely nothing. Complete rip-off!

Came back after 9 years, and I got to admit: DID NOT DISSAPOINT. Still no.1 in terms of pasta, the quality of the pasta and sauces smashes the competition. Highly recommend the carbonara and ravioli with tomatoes, cheese and basil. My wife also enjoyed the ragu gnocchi. Cacio e pepe was also top tier, only 1 tiny bit too salty for my taste, but that's a me issue. Will definetly visit Osteria da Fortunata each time I come in Rome.

Very disappointing experience. If you enjoy heavily salted food, this might be the place for you. We ordered cacio e pepe and carbonara along with a drink, and the bill was over €50 for two people. Unfortunately, both dishes were so salty that we could barely take more than a few bites. We raised the issue with the staff, but were told this is “the Italian taste” and that they even prefer it saltier.

I had visited this restaurant on a previous trip to Italy and had a great experience, so much so that I recommended it to friends. Unfortunately, this time the experience was completely different. When we arrived, the restaurant was very busy and we waited to be seated. Since no one came to assist us, we walked toward an empty table. Before we sat down, a waiter approached us and, quite rudely, simply said “no,” pointed toward the entrance, and told us to go back and wait there. A few seconds later, after we had returned to the entrance, he called us back to the exact same table. The service continued to be disappointing. When he brought a Coca-Cola, he opened the bottle, left it on the table, and walked away without even providing glasses. After several moments of dismissive behavior, I lost my patience and called him by snapping my fingers. I understand that this is considered rude in Italy, but at that point I felt I was receiving the same level of courtesy that had been shown to us from the beginning. The waiter reacted very aggressively, raising his voice and saying that he was not a dog to be called that way. He then refused to continue serving our table. Another waiter took over and politely explained the cultural issue regarding the gesture, which I appreciated. However, at first it felt as though we were being portrayed as the only ones at fault. Only after a second conversation did he seem to better understand the full context of what had happened. The situation was frustrating and embarrassing, and it completely affected our experience. I am not giving the lowest rating only because the second waiter was polite, professional, and genuinely tried to de-escalate the situation. A real shame, because I genuinely liked this restaurant and had very positive memories of it from my previous visit.

The worst food we tried in 7 days trip in Italy. We understand that Italian pasta differs from other and it called “aldente” but this pasta was literally raw. Since it was our first day we didn’t realise that it should be cooked more. It was not delicious at all. Looks good but tastes bad. Don’t waste your money on this.

We ate gnocchi. I definitely can't say it was bad, but they weren't as tasty as we expected. Also, I think the prices are quite expensive. The drinks we wanted to buy were out of stock, so we had to make another choice instead. We also said that we needed an outlet, they said that there are tables for 4 people, you cannot sit there. But all the tables for 4 people were empty, tolerance could be exceeded. There was no soap in the toilets. All these are details that slightly detract from the quality. Howewer is still a nice restaurant. you can try.

We came on the 11th of June 2026 and it was an incredible experience. Our waiter Simone was funny, helpful and very kind. Even though it was a gloomy day in Rome, Simone made us feel as if sunshine was shining on us every second of our dinning experience. The carbonara was the best I have ever had. Overall this was such a fun experience and we were so lucky to get Simone as our waiter.

Very disappointed as this place was recommended to us by someone local and our hopes were high. Upon arrival we had to queue outside about 40 minutes just to sit at the table. Our waiter was behaving strangely and once even pretended to ‘steal’ my bag that was resting right next to me! We’ve ordered a starter and two pastas, the sauces were quite tasty but pasta texture was not great. One of them barely got touched. On top of that pasta prices were through the roof, looking at 15-20€ per plate. Definitely most disappointing dinner of our stay. Bonus point for pretty plates and the lady making pasta in the window

If you are not used to eating salty pasta, don’t go there. I couldn’t even finish my dish, and the owner said it’s supposed to be salty, so I am not sure. We ordered both Cacio e Pepe and Carbonara, but we only could eat maybe less than 1/5 of each because it was very salty and the pasta undercooked. Wonder if anyone from Rome is here that can verify these dishes that should be aggressively salted.

A great spot which was recommended by family to visit. It is easy to find, and close to may of Rome’s tourist attractions. We were sat down straight away, and greeted by friendly staff. However we had a very long wait for someone to come and take our order. The staff seemed very keen to sit as many people down as possible, but then not to actually attend to them. It’s always poor customer service when you need to call a waiter over to take your order. However this was done, all staff speak exceptional English and our food did not take long to arrive. We ordered the strozzapreti with zucchini flowers and the carbonara. The pasta is exceptional, and the traditional ‘thicker’ style pasta. It was served hot and tasted delicious. The Carbonara is quite salty (as a heads up). Bread and oils were brought out beforehand. Overall a nice experience, just slightly let down by the long wait to be served. Prices are normal so it is affordable for all groups. It’s a popular place, so we would advise getting there early, as when we left, there was a large queue of people waiting to dine. Make sure to pass by the room where you see the staff making pasta!

The service here is wonderful—there was a short wait for a table, and all the waiters were friendly and welcoming. We started with the supplì, which was delicious, warm, and nice and gooey in the middle. Unfortunately, the food didn't stay consistent. We both had the carbonara for our mains and really didn't enjoy it. Maybe other dishes are better, but the pasta made it a disappointing experience overall.

Highly overrated. Only tourists are eating here, no Italian people. Food tastes blend and each dish has a shiny layer over it. There are so many places that serve better food then this. In front of the window a lady is making fresh pasta. You have to queue if you want to eat here.

Las pastas estan ricas , tienen demasiado reconocimiento pero no son las mejores de Roma. Cuando llegamos habia cola de espera alrededor de 20-30 minutos. He probado mejores pastas en otros restaurantes pero estan ricas. El local es pequeño y las mesas estan muy juntas, el camarero casi no podia pasar entre ellas.

Bazı yorumlarda hizmet kalitesinin düşük olduğundan bahşedilmiş. Bizim gittiğimizde hizmet hızlı ve harikaydı. Ancak bizim bir önceki makarna deneyimimiz Alfredo olduğu için Osteria'nın makarnası lezzet olarak çok sönük kaldı. Etsiz bir kaç çeşit makarna var, onlar arasından seçtik. Bir kalın doğranmış bir de Arabic olan spagetti. Allah günah yazmasın da kalın içi dolu boncuk gibi olan makarna (Fotoğrafta ekledim görülüyor asla almayın) resmen hamur. Insanın damağına yapışıyor. Diğeri ise bütün italyan spagettiler gibi aldente, ben Alfredo'da yediğim Arabic gibi harika soslu beklerken naneli domates sosunun içinde makarna geldi. Ben evde daha iyisini yapıyorum. Burası işin biraz da şovuna kaçıyor. Şeytanın avukatlığı gibi olacak belki ama, Mekan önünde sırada bekleyenler belki de elemanları olabilir. Çünkü dışarıda sıra varken içeride boş masalar vardı. Önümüzde 4 kişilik grup varken bizi ve diğer iki kişilik aileyi onlardan önce masaya aldılar. Kısacası aslında kendimizin bile daha güzelini yapacağımız bir makarnaya bu para verilmez. Hiç tavsiye etmiyorum. Bu arada belki de bize böyle denk geldi bilmiyorum. Çünkü onca 5 yıldız veren insan yanılıyor olamaz.

Siamo stati qui di sabato sera ed effettivamente, nonostante fossimo un gruppo numeroso, non abbiamo atteso molto. L'ambiente è spartano ma vale la pena per i primi piatti. Forse tutto un po' caro ma considerando che siamo a campo de' fiori... potrebbe anche andare bene.

Nel complesso l’esperienza è stata buona. Io ho ordinato la gricia e il mio ragazzo la carbonara: entrambe buone. Il locale è molto turistico e questo si riflette anche nell’affluenza: abbiamo aspettato circa un’ora in fila prima di entrare. Una volta seduti, però, il servizio è stato davvero rapido e i piatti sono arrivati in poco tempo. L’unico aspetto meno piacevole è che i tavolini sono molto vicini tra loro e l’ambiente risulta piuttosto rumoroso.

From the moment I arrived, Giuseppe made me feel right at home. And my server Fabrizio was phenomenal. Their attention to to detail along with the delicious food, made it my most memorable meal in Rome. I personally went back the next day to thank them and shake their hand - it was that good. They are the consummate professionals. And they make your dining experience delightful. The pasta is fresh from start to finish. The meal was phenomenal. But the service from Giuseppe and Fabrizio is what would keep me coming back. Fin dal mio arrivo, Giuseppe mi ha fatto sentire come a casa. E il cameriere, Fabrizio, è stato eccezionale. La cura dei dettagli, unita alla cucina squisita, ha reso questo pasto il più memorabile della mia permanenza a Roma. Sono tornato personalmente il giorno dopo per ringraziarli e stringere loro la mano: è stato davvero eccezionale. Sono dei veri professionisti e sanno rendere l'esperienza culinaria davvero piacevole. La pasta è fresca, dalla preparazione al piatto finito. Il pasto è stato eccezionale, ma è proprio il servizio offerto da Giuseppe e Fabrizio a farmi venire voglia di tornare.

Niespotykany rodzaj makaronu podany do tradycyjnych dań rzymskich jakim są amatriciana i carbonara. Bardzo ciekawa konsystencja makaronu oraz jego kształt. Danie wybitne, prawdziwe i takie domowe. Pani w lokalu przygotowuje na stole przy gościach ten wyjątkowy makaron. Nigdzie nie spotkałem takiej pasty i chętnie tutaj wrócę żeby znów zaznać tego smaku. Obsluga zapomniała o podaniu pieczywa do dań i kelnerowi jak coś się nie spodoba to każe iść dalej i wybrać inna restaurację 😅 nie zaproponował deseru, ale to nie szkodzi, bo porcje są tak duże że ciężko znaleźć miejsce jeszcze na deser po takiej uczcie ☺️ płacimy w środku w lokalu przy kasie, a nie u kelnera
