20/05/2026You can tell that this is a place loved by locals. If you are not a local, do yourself a favour and skip it. My husband and I arrived for aperitivo, while most tables were still empty. We were told we could sit but only for an hour as all tables were reserved. After ordering we were immediately asked to pay, with the excuse that people often take off without paying. We tried to enjoy it, but were quite put off by their attitude. As locals arrived, we noticed others did not have to pay right away. We did have a chat with the waiter about this, expressing how off-putting the whole experience was, at which point he became much more amicable. There are much more beautiful and classy places for aperitivo in Brera. Trust me, this is not the one!

02/04/2026This place was recommended to me by a colleague of mine. From the outside it looks like an ordinary bar, but if you go down to the basement, you see a huge underground wine cellar. The atmosphere is really nice. You see wine bottles standing around everywhere and the price is written on them. We had a delicious glass of wine and got nipples and olives, served with it. I saw that you can also have dinner here, but it’s only a small selection or cutlery platter.

18/03/2026The place to visit! It has 2 areas , one outside and one in the basement. If you want to visit the basement , mostly for dinning, you must make an reservation in advance ( they make reservations only during weekdays). I visited the place twice while in Milan, both sat outside. Even though it was full and we had to wait , the waiters were really helpful and kind ! The wine was great and the atmosphere too!

11/03/2026We have now visited this beautiful bar for the second time. The ambience is truly wonderful – stylish, cozy, and perfect for spending a relaxed evening. The service at the beginning was also excellent. Our two waiters were very friendly, attentive, and took great care of us, which made the evening really enjoyable. Unfortunately, there was one situation that changed the mood. When we accidentally knocked over a glass, we were able to catch it before it fell, so nothing broke. However, a third waiter suddenly appeared at our table and started laughing about it, which felt a bit uncomfortable for us. After that, he informed us that playing cards is not allowed in the bar. Of course we respect house rules, but the way it was communicated in that moment felt a bit inappropriate. It’s a shame because until then everything had been great – the ambience is fantastic and the service from the other two waiters was excellent. Unfortunately, this interaction affected our evening enough that we decided to ask for the bill and leave. What we also found a bit confusing is that smoking IQOS seems to be allowed, but playing cards is not. Nevertheless, we would still like to mention that the atmosphere and the service from the other staff members were really very good.

23/09/2025We stayed across the street several nights and heard people enjoying themselves until well after 1am every night, so we decided to have a glass of wine after our dinner. The wine was good, the atmosphere was good but I have to agree with several of the previous post, not the friendliest staff. I’m starting to think the prevalent attitude here in Milan is servers don’t care about our experiences in their restaurants. Clearly the locals love this spot based on the crowds every night, but don’t expect a friendly face if you’re visiting. Kind of a bummer.

13/08/2025From the moment we entered we were looked down and treated as tourists (I am Italian, born and raised in Milan but my partner is Australian so we were speaking in English). We are both sommeliers and were so excited to try some great wines but the staff treated us as we knew nothing about wines and only gave us the by the glass list, assuming we were only another couple of cheap tourist. The service was so inattentive, we had to ask multiple times for water, and to order food. Luckily we met the head sommelier Emanuele who was the only nice, kind and friendly staff member and turned our experience in the end to a pleasant one. Great wine list if you get the chance to see it. Great atmosphere, the salumi selection was also pretty good. Such a pity the bad service because this place is an institution.

19/07/2025What a disappointment. Went on a Saturday night at 6p. Only two customers sitting outside and we were told the tables were reserved and we could sit at the end of the outside area. Really?! Seat cushions had cigarette burns. Bad attitude of bald waiter. On busy street. Not a very impressive wine collection. We left. Went around the corner and found another bar.

19/07/2025This was a chance find and seemingly popular hangout for locals and tourists. There is a good wine selection and the place is well known for their cold cuts and cheese. The downside here is that we had an unpleasant experience with the staff. We were walk ins with no reservations and moved around a couple of times despite there being plenty of unreserved tables available. The bill was presented to us whilst we were only half way through our bottle of wine, and we felt rushed to finish. Not the best experience

I piatti che vengono portati sono ok, ma assolutamente non valgono quanto richiesto. Il servizio è cordiale e attento, visti prezzi dei piatti potrebbero anche presentare e descrivere cosa portano al piatto (vedi salumi e formaggi). Ambiente sotterraneo, un po' caotico, arredamento sono solo le tantissime bottiglie di vino che hanno, scenico. Anche i vini, prezzi altissimi per quello che sono in realtà.

01/05/2026Ho scoperto N’Ombra de Vin a Milano anni fa ed è diventato rapidamente uno dei miei posti preferiti per fare la serata . L’atmosfera è davvero speciale, con una vasta selezione di vini e un ambiente accogliente che invita a rilassarsi. Un grande punto a favore è la musica dal vivo del giovedì sera, che rende l’esperienza ancora più piacevole e vivace. Frequento questo locale quasi ogni settimana proprio per la qualità dell’aperitivo , i vini e l’energia del posto. Tuttavia, c’è un aspetto che trovo deludente: nelle serate di giovedì, venerdì e sabato, se si desidera rimanere dopo l’aperitivo, viene imposto di ordinare il menù fisso per la cena, altrimenti si è invitati a lasciare il tavolo. L’ultima volta, nonostante avessimo ordinato aperitivi per un valore superiore a quello di tre menù fissi, ci è stato comunque chiesto di lasciare il tavolo dopo circa un’ora e mezza. Questo tipo di gestione rischia di penalizzare clienti abituali e affezionati. Inoltre, il modo in cui alcuni membri dello staff si relazionano con i clienti lascia a desiderare: a volte si ha la sensazione che, anche se un cliente decidesse di non tornare, per loro non farebbe differenza perché il locale è comunque pieno. Tuttavia, il servizio al cliente è uno degli aspetti fondamentali in tutto il mondo, e dovrebbe essere curato con maggiore attenzione anche qui in Italia. Spero davvero che possano rivedere queste politiche e atteggiamenti, perché il locale ha un grande potenziale e sarebbe un peccato perdere clienti fedeli per questi motivi.

El motivo es que si pido un vino de 18€ la copa espero que primero me lo den a probar para saber si me gusta o no (tal y como han hecho en la enoteca Cotti donde habíamos estado antes). La lasagna de ragut estaba bastante buena pero la ración es pequeña para los 20€ que vale. Además, teniendo el local casi vacío me han sentado en una mesa por donde pasaban todo el rato los camareros molestando.

17/04/2026Vado spesso da N’Ombra de Vin quando sono a Milano ed è sempre una garanzia assoluta. La carta dei vini è davvero bella, con etichette interessanti e ben selezionate. Il servizio è ottimo, personale preparato e attento. Lo consiglio non solo per bere ma anche per cena, perché si mangia davvero bene. Un posto che non delude mai, perfetto per ogni occasione 🍷✨

Hasta ahora todo bien pero antes de que termine de beber mi aperol el camarero me estaba preguntando si me podía traer la cuenta y no habían pasado ni 20 minutos que estábamos sentados, nuestra idea era probar diferentes entradas pero con la presión de los camareros para liberar la mesa fue imposible y decidimos irnos! Lamentable porque habíamos ido exclusivamente a hacer nuestro aperitivo a este bello puesto!

In passato ho sempre avvertito una bella sensazione ma con grande dispiacere devo fare una critica e spero che sia propedeutica per la proprietà. Inizio a dire che ci sono degli addetti alla sicurezza che sono degli incompetenti e si comportano come dei gradassi . Ed è una cosa veramente fastidiosa. Forse avrebbero bisogno di informarsi bene di quale sia il loro ruolo. Per quanto riguarda il personale interno al contrario sono molto cortesi e gentili.

23/11/2025Ich und drei weitere Freundinnen waren dort um einen Drink zu holen. Als wir dort ankamen gab es eine riesiege Menschenmenge, die draussen den weg zur Bar versperrten. Nachdem wir die Bar erreichten mussten wir für einen Aperol 15€ zahlen! Zusammengefasst: Das Ambiente war zu klein (obwohl man sehen konnte, dass es im Keller genug platz hatte) und das Gedränge zu gross. Der Preis für den Drink war viiiel zu übertrieben.

08/11/2025Locale davvero bello per divertirsi nel weekend: atmosfera, carta dei vini e qualità del cibo meritano. Unica nota sul menù, un po’ ripetitivo rispetto a prima: mancano piatti che erano davvero un plus, come la Caesar salad o il tramezzino con la giardiniera. Peccato, perché erano ottimi. Vengo però al motivo vero della recensione. L'altra sera il capo sala (alto e calvo) ha avuto un atteggiamento che definire scortese è un complimento. Avevamo prenotato per 4, e a cena finita si è aggiunta un’amica: non solo le ha impedito di scendere per raggiungerci, ma ha iniziato una discussione alzando i toni in maniera completamente fuori luogo. Una scena evitabile e sinceramente imbarazzante. Meno male che un altro cameriere, con buon senso, ha sistemato la situazione.

La serata il giovedì è molto bella, il cantante/animatore è forte, ma conviene prenotare con settimane di anticipo, c'è una marea di gente. Bella gente e ambiente top. Ci torno sicuro

30/07/2025Bar à vin très joli ! Nous y sommes allés dimanche dernier au soir et avons adoré la décoration du bar à vin dans la salle du bas qui met vraiment en valeur le vin. La carte des vins propose un grand choix et des vins français réputé. Étant sommellière et vigneronne en France avec ma famille, nous voulions profiter de ce moment pour découvrir les vins italiens. Malheureusement nous avons mal été accueillis sûrement parce que nous sommes des touristes français. Le comportement était différent si nous étions français ou italien. Nous avons même vue des chuchotements nous concernant derrière le bar en nous regardant. Vraiment dommage pour cet endroit ! Cela nous laisse un goût amer !

(Be careful though, it is very hot in summer in Italy.) The seats and tables are lined with wine, so it's a good idea to bring a friend who knows wine.
