13/06/2026They claim to have invented fettucine alfredo. They might have or not, doesn’t matter, that was by far the best one I’ve ever had. My wife had the steak, which wasn’t impressive, (better ones galore in New York) but that will not matter as far as my scoring goes. Old-world charm and sophisticated servivlce. Will come back next time I am in Rome.

12/06/2026This place felt like it was trading on an old reputation rather than it's current one. Staff were not very attentive, food was only average and it was relatively pricey. Outside tables were a nice point - good to watch the world go by.

04/06/2026the food was amazing,the only problem was the queue and even though we had reservation we waited a bit but that is fine in rome 🤷🏻♀️overall it was a great experince especially a great restaurant for dinner!PS:it is the first place that discovered Alfredo so you should try it and you can see celebrities hanging on the wall while you eat :)

01/06/2026Had a wonderful date night with my wife end of May 2026. We walked in on a Sunday night and had to wait about 35 minutes for a table as the line was already 7 parties ahead of us at 9:30 pm. At the same time there was another line for those who had booked also arriving for their reservations. There is indoor and outdoor seating but I would suggest indoor as there’s a better atmosphere. And personally, I find it less hygienic to be dining street-side so if that’s your thing, of course to each their own. The interior walls are decorated with dozens and dozens of celebrity photographs who have dined at the restaurant over the years. Everyone from movie stars to sports stars are on the wall of fame. We ordered a chicken cacciatora, fried calamari and prawns, and a spicy tomato spaghetti. It was a long wait unfortunately - almost 50 minutes, so the waiter brought us some meatballs and a sliced burrata & tomato appetizer on the house. These were delicious and welcomed. The fried calamari and prawns were really crispy and seasoned just right. One of the better ones I’ve had in Milan and Rome. The chicken was very tasty with a tart sauce and potatoes. The spaghetti was billed as spicy but wasn’t at all so we asked for chili oil which did the trick to get it just the right level of spicy for my wife. The table next to us ordered the linguini Alfredo, their signature, and there’s a whole ceremony of splashing cheese powder that melts as the waiter swirls the hot pasta around the dish creating a creamy sauce. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant for sure and already want to go back.

We were served as per the booking, and I must pass the appreciation to the serving team for keeping up with serving the high volume of the restaurant guests. Thanks for adding this memorable experience to our Rome’s program.

27/05/2026We learned about this restaurant on the American show, “60 Minutes,” and wanted to try it. We made a reservation and had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, great service and wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend checking it out during your trip to Rome!

26/05/2026Alfredo alla Scrofa was a total miss for us. Our hotel made the reservation, and sadly it felt like a tourist trap. The food was very average, and the service felt dry and uninterested. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t recommend it.

26/05/2026This was overall a disappointing experience. The reservation was made 2 months before our visit and was told upon arrival that we could only sit outside. I asked to be moved inside but was told no. I was cold througout the meal (the "blanket" provided was very small did not cover my shoulders), the neighboring table was smoking, and bugs were flying in the umbrella above us and into our food. The artichoke was greasy. The stuffed pasta had little pepper taste and the "truffles" were flavorless. The dessert was overcooked and not edible. The alfredo pasta was very good - we should have ordered that alone. The cost was high for the portion sizes and does not include service. Skip the tasting menu and just go for the fettucini alfredo. We had looked forward to this dinner left very disappointed.

25/05/2026Cannot explain how amazing this experience was! We actually got our times mixed up and got late for our reservation, completely our fault! And Andres was super accommodating and made our experience even nicer by dining in the cellar communal table. The food is absolutely fantastic but go empty stomach cause it’s a lot (all delicious)! Kimya, Antonio and the nice sommelier I didn’t catch the name were all so quick and knowledgeable while welcoming!

20/05/2026We waited 20 minutes for the restaurant to open its doors as a family. Three minutes before it opened, we asked for help because our 4-year-old child needed to use the restroom, but they refused to let us with extremely rude behavior. We didn't care how good the food was. They are so insensitive and rude that they can't understand the needs of a 4-year-old child. I don't remember ever encountering such an ugly attitude and behavior.

20/05/2026The most overpriced and worst tourist trap restaurant in Rome, if not the entire world. The seating is incredibly cramped; you are practically sharing a table with the people next to you. On top of that, paying €50 for a completely mediocre, ordinary plate of pasta is absurd. The wine selection is well below average. To make matters worse, they forced a €14 service fee and an extra €16.5 for a "mandatory" tip onto the bill. Absolutely avoid this place.

19/05/2026Is the best restaurant I have ever been in my life. As a mexican foodie that has travel the world and at least I have tried a lot of different places all over the world specially in Europe. It is, for me, the best burrata, the best fillet, and of course the best fettucine Alfredo I have ever tasted ever. Very light very creamy. During my Honeymoon is that we went. Great service from Marco and great of recommendation of Berlucchi Franciacorta Sessto Uno wine. The Tiramisu was just great. Marco handled us the golden cultry with the Fettucine.

We received amazing service except for the sommelier who was annoyed that we requested fresh wine glasses after changing bottles of wine. We opened 4 of them and not once did he bother to suggest something else, he was just annoyed by our simple request. Our waiter and bus boy were very attentive the entire night.

19/05/2026We were on a work trip and had dinner at this authentic restaurant . There were 25 of us and we’d been in touch with the restaurant beforehand. They were very helpful with the menu choices and dietary requirements. They had a separate room for us where we could all sit together as a group. The food was absolutely delicious and their famous pasta was prepared at the table. Alfredo’s is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Rome.

When we told her the tip was included, the server looked surprised as if she didn't know about it. Please do not try to scam tourists.

18/05/2026My first trip to Rome I forgot this place existed , my 2nd trip was a must see , the seri was friendly, funny, rushed but on point , the sauce was not salty , rich cheesy or buttery , very watery consistency, bland , but maybe I'm just useless American indulgence coffee is good .don't think I have a back. But very pleased to have made the trip there have a location in Disney Epcot . It was a bucket list go to. recommendation for reservations.

17/05/2026Nice food but over priced. They add a 10% service tax to the bill they they don't tell you about prior. I think this is geared towards tourists and getting as much money from them as possible. Don't waste your time. Nicer places around if you look and better priced.

17/05/2026Just a tourist trap. Had the €80 set menu with my wife. The food was very mediocre and the bottom end of what we have had in Rome. The truffle was clearly stale and past its best. The dishes were all slapped down on the table at pace without saying what anything was (other than rapidly at the start so fast we couldn't hear). The pasta made in front of us was dished into one plate then the waiter couldn't get the rest off to serve to a second plate so just passed the serving dish which was a watery mess. The service was mandatory and I asked for it to be removed due to poor service and they said no. For a €200 meal this was appauling. Go elsewhere. Their signature dish is not as nice as the carbonara you can get at basically any restaurant in the city.

13/05/2026Gulf community — I know you’ve seen this place all over your feed. Please hear me out. So many people from our community have hyped up this place and that’s the only reason we went. Big mistake. We were ignored the moment we walked in — no greeting, no water, nothing. 30 minutes to take our order and almost an hour for the food to arrive. Now let me talk about this Alfredo everyone keeps posting about — it is the most absolute basic, flavorless Alfredo I have ever had in my life. No richness, no depth, absolutely nothing going on. We had to add our own seasoning just to get through it. It does not deserve a single post or recommendation. The calamari was over-fried and way too salty. The staff had attitude the whole time. There are better local spots that actually deserve the support. Don’t let the hype fool you.

13/05/2026As I drink the last bits of my macchiato, I have to take the time to write about how lovely this place is. Rome has a lot of beautiful and memorable places, not to mention the food is incredible. The shining star of Rome’s food has been this restaurant. The entire experience was so good that we came here not once, but twice. Every bite was divine, but I specifically recommend the chicken cacciatore and the Alfredo (of course). I also have to mention Stefano, who was so kind and went out of his way to make us feel special and ensure we had the best night. I can’t say enough amazing things about him!!

13/05/2026This is a typical Italian restaurant in the city center. There's a nice outside patio but I haven't been inside so I can't comment the inside of the restaurant. We were there for a late lunch, almost all the tables were occupied. The servis was fast and servers very polite. Food: we had two pizzas (capricciosa and boscaiola) that were quite big and very good. We had also one "tagliata di pollo" (chicken breast) with potatoes that was also quite good. The prices were very acceptable for the center.

13/05/2026They may have invented Alfredo but they did not perfect it. We arrived with a reservation to watch several tables arrive after us and be seated before us. The host apologized he forgot he asked me to wait on the side. 2 tables were even offered the choice between several empty tables, they spoke Italian so although I understood the conversation so I knew their reservation was timed after ours. They have a minimum order amount which is fine, we ordered a valuable wine doubling their minimum and we’re still asked to order more food… the pasta in the Alfredo was very thin so it overcooked quickly. They provided bread for every other table and began to bring it to ours but turned away and left with the bread never to return, Half the joy of pasta is Scarpetta everyone knows that. We were displeased with the cost, service, and food and sadly will not return.

12/05/2026Beautiful restaurant. The Fettuccine Alfredo was excellent - 5 stars. Saltimbocca v good. Tiramisu lacked alcohol and a little more sponge. Sommelier gave good wine suggestions. However, the service was terrible. Staff who were not trained properly and clearly did not care - dessert spoons thrown onto the table as was the final receipt. Not asking if finished before taking plates. Servers never asked if we enjoyed our dishes. Bill arrived without asking!! The atmosphere could be improved if lights were dimmed a little and there was some mood music. No floor supervisor/ Maitre d’ which is required in such a restaurant. There were a couple of staff in suits who could have been managers but they clearly did not care about the diners!!

12/05/2026Absolutely incredible meal at Alfredo alla Scrofa, easily the nicest food we ate during our few days in Rome. The burrata was sensational — so creamy and rich. The vitello tonnato was the highlight of the meal for me, with amazing flavours and incredibly tender meat. The asparagus risotto was beautifully rich and creamy, while the sea bass was delicate, fresh and a really good portion size. To finish, the tiramisu which was delicious. Fantastic food and a wonderful dining experience from start to finish!

12/06/2026Kesinlikle vasat demek bile fazla kalır. Rezervasyonumuz yoktu sıra beklemeden girdik sanırım artık kimse tercih etmiyor. Alfredo sulu hamur gibi inan ki çok çok daha iyi makarna yersiniz. Bir de hiç hizmet almadığınız ekmek bile vermedikleri yerde % 10 servis ücreti alıyorlar. Yine de giderseniz tavsiyem başka bir yerde daha alfredo yiyin aklınızda böyle kalmasın.

11/06/2026Rezervasyonsuz gittiğimiz için sıra bekledik. Öğle arası sonrası yeni açılmıştı ve rezervasyonlu gelenlerin hepsi yeni oturduğu için ilk sırada olmamıza rağmen baya bekledik. Bunu göze alarak gitmek gerekiyor zaten insan Roma’da sürekli sıra bekliyor ve bu durum bazen insanı tüketiyor. Alfredo makarna için gitmiştik ve bunu denedik. Çok güzeldi, leziz bi tat ve sunumla geldi. Bir daha gider miyim gitmem ama bir kere denemeye değerdi. Ayrıca sırada beklerken tadım menüsü alırsanız hemen girebilirsiniz gibi teklifler yapıyorlar. Biz kabul etmeyince de mecburen bizi alakart menü olarak aldılar. Olumsuz yanları da olmasına rağmen tüm puanlarım iyi çünkü güzeldi.

La pasta estaba perfectamente mantecada, cremosa, delicada y con un sabor espectacular. El ambiente es acogedor y agradable, ideal para disfrutar la experiencia sin prisas. Además, fue un placer ver trabajar al maestro mantegador, que convierte la preparación del plato en un pequeño espectáculo lleno de técnica y tradición. Un lugar que mantiene viva una receta histórica y que demuestra que la calidad está en los detalles. Sin duda, una experiencia que recomendaría a quienes visiten Roma.

09/06/2026Una vez hecha la reserva por la web no pude cambiar lo elegido sin saber lo que estaba reservando quería probar los famosos fettuccine Alfredo pero no los quería con trufa después de pagar 120€ por los fettuccini para dos personas luego veo en la carta que su precio sin trufa era de 27€ cada plato … no me parece claro la forma de reservar y menos claro que luego nadie hable español y no pueda expresar claramente que quería los fettuccine sin trufa y el dinero que sobraba lo podría haber empleado en probar otro plato o un vino … lamentable el servicio no me hizo ni caso insistiendo en que eso era lo que había reservado y cualquier otra cosa se debería de añadir a lo ya reservado

Maar buiten op terras natuurlijk ook goed gezeten na even in de rij op ons beurt gewacht te hebben. Uiterraard had mijn vrouw hun signature dish gekozen. Verrukkelijk! Aan tafel klaar gemaakt. Enig minpuntje was dat onze lege borden van tafel gehaald werden en neergezet werden bij de buren toen bleek dat zij nog geen borden hadden maar dr schalen al uit de keuken kwamen. Zoiets doe je niet. Haal gewoon schone borden. De buren waren er ook beslist niet van gediend. We vonden dit allemaal heel raar. Maar verder was eten perfect mijn kip ook.

03/06/2026Fuimos a probar la famosa pasta Alfredo. Mi esposo se pidió unos mariscos empanizados que estuvieron muy ricos y yo me pedí la pasta. Siendo muy sincera, la pasta estuvo mediocre, más aún considerando el costo. No tenía nada de sabor, sabía a pasta hervida básicamente, y no tenía sal tampoco. De hecho habían varios turistas poniéndole extra de sal. Creo que hay otros platos mucho más ricos que probar. Definitivamente no volvería a pedir esa pasta.

01/06/2026Ne yazık ki bu akşam yaşadığımız deneyim çok kötüydü. Yemek olarak 2 tane Alfredo Fettuccini söyledik. Yemek hızlı ve lezzetli geldi. Hesabı ödeyip kalkmak istediğimizi garsona 3 kere söylemek zorunda kaldık. Garson bizim dışımızda neredeyse tüm masalara servis yapti ancak bizim hesabı getirmedi.Hemen yanımızda oturan masanın hesabı hemen gelirken bizim hesap dakikalarca gelmedi. Hesabı pos cihazı ile ödemek istediğimizi söyledik bu kez de pos cihazını bekledik ve bu durumu ilertigimiz garson pos cihazini neredeyse masamıza fırlattı. Bu mudur misafirperverlik ? Bu mudur turiste karşı tavır ? Bir de çıkarken garson arkamızdan rahatsiz edici ve yüksek sesle "bye bye, good bye" diye bağırdı.Merak etmeyin meraklısı degiliz size de bye bye bir daha zor geliriz bir dövmediğiniz kaldi. Gelin de Turkiye de hizmet görün.

01/06/2026Sosyal medya tavsiyelerine asla inanmayın. Fettucini sulu hamur gibiydi ve lezzetsizdi. Biftek ise az pişmiş istediğimiz halde çok sert ve lezzetsizdi. Servis ise çok yavaş ve ilgisizdi. Etin kötü olduğunu söylediğimiz halde hiçbir aksiyon alınmadı. Bu hizmet ve yemeklere göre aşırı pahalı.

26/05/2026Alfredo ya fettucini makarnanın burada ortaya çıktığı söylendiği için büyük bir beklentiyle geldik ama maalesef tam bir hayal kırıklığıydı. Makarnanın ne belirgin bir tadı vardı ne de lezzetliydi üstelik masada ğstüne dökmek için basit bir karabiber masada tuz da bulunuyordu. Oldukça lezzetsizdi. Ayrıca iki kişi paylaşacağımız için ekstra bir ürün söylememiz gerektiği belirtildi. Enginar söyledik fakat o da kurumuş, neredeyse yanmış gibiydi. İtalya’nın meşhur lezzetlerinden birini deneyimlemek isterken, hayatımızda yediğimiz en pahalı ve en başarısız öğünlerden biriyle karşılaştık. Bir enginar ve tek kişilik, üstelik aşırı küçük bir makarna için 50 euro ödedik. İtalyan porsiyonlarının küçük olduğunu biliyoruz ama bu gerçekten kabul edilebilir seviyenin çok altındaydı. 4 gündür İtalya’da farklı yerlerde yemek yiyoruz; en iyi restoranlarda bile bu kadar yüksek hesap ödemedik. Keşke en azından lezzeti fiyatını hak etseydi diyebilseydik. Bize göre burası tamamen Instagram’daki abartılmış paylaşımlar sayesinde ünlenmiş bir yer. Kesinlikle tavsiye etmiyorum.

26/05/2026Romada denediğim diğer restoranlara lezzet anlamında pek bir üstünlüğü yoktu. Fettucini alfredo lezzetliydi ancak cacio e pepe nin çok daha lezzetlisini yemiştik başka bir yerde. Garsonlar oldukça kaba ve suratsız. Ben aç değildim sadece eşim fettucini alfredo yemek istiyordu, ben de aperol içecektim ama bana zorla ana yemek söylettiler. Hem de mekan bomboşken öğle vakti. Tokken yemekten keyif almak zor. Dediğim gibi lezzet fena değil ama suratsız çalışanlar ve 2 kişilik masaya 2 ana yemek politikası sebebiyle keyifli bir deneyim olmadı.

21/05/2026Wij hebben 20 minuten gewacht op onze gereserveerde tafel. Andere gasten waren ongeduldig en bleven maar voordringen. De uitleg van de menu-kaart was er niet. De uitleg van het gerecht was onverstaanbaar en de “beroemde” pasta smaakte alleen maar naar Parmezaanse kaas. Dan moet je service kosten betalen voor wat eigenlijk. Bediening doet dan ook nog geïrriteerd als ze geen fooi krijgen. Maar fooi die moet je wel verdienen anders krijg je hem niet

20/05/2026Eşim gitmeden önce 2 yaşındaki kızım dahil 3 kişilik rezervasyon yaptımış ve alfredo makarna yiyeceğimiz için alfredo tasting menü seçmiş kişi başı 60 euro ödeme aldılar ve kızımın o porsiyonda makarnayı yiyemeceğini söyledim ama hiç yardımcı olmadılar trüflü seçenek için +25 euro yazıyordu makarnasına trüf istemememize rağmen yemediğimiz şeyler için de tüm parayı aldılar ve garson hiç kibar değildi.

Lo staff ti presenta il piatto a tavola con la spiegazione della preparazione del piatto stesso. Consigliatissimo. Una storia che va avanti dal 1914. 16/05/2026Sentite a me, varcà la soglia de Alfredo alla Scrofa significa prima de ogni altra cosa accettà n’accordo tacito co’ la storia de sta città, n’operazione nostalgia che oscilla costantemente tra er fascino immortale de la Roma dei divi de Hollywood e l’inevitabile ingranaggio de 'na macchina da soldi per turisti che macina coperti a ritmi da catena de montaggio. Come critico de bocca buona non posso mica finta de niente davanti a sto viavai: le pareti piene zeppe de foto d'epoca quasi te vogliono distrae, ricordandoti una gloria internazionale che oggi, nei vicoli del centro, fa un po' fatica a respirà. L'accoglienza è de quelle pettinate, formale il giusto, senza le spigolosità de 'na fraschetta verace, ma pure senza quel calore che un romano cerca quando s’assetta a tavola colla fame nera. Il preludio de la serata si consuma con l'arrivo dell'acqua e de quel cestino de pane e grissini che, tocca ammetterlo, so' stati la fine del mondo per quanto erano fragranti, una trappola de carboidrati croccanti che rischia de rovinarti l’appetito se non te dai una regolata. Poi siamo passati all'antipasto, e lì la materia prima ha parlato da sola, co' quegli affettati tagliati così fini che se scioglievano in bocca e 'na mozzarella di bufala che quando la spaccavi buttava ancora il latte freschissimo, anche se le porzioni erano decisamente più attente all'estetica del piatto che alla pancia del cliente. Ma veniamo al nocciolo della questione, er motivo vero per cui la gente viaggia per migliaia di chilometri: la mitica fettuccina Alfredo. Guarda' er cameriere che te la manteca davanti al naso col vassoio d'argento è un vero e proprio spettacolo teatrale, una gestualità ipnotica dove il calore della pasta all'uovo, l'acqua de cottura, er burro e il parmigiano si uniscono miracolosamente in una crema vellutata, lucida e senza un grumo, che avvolge ogni singolo filo di sfoglia. Al primo boccone rimani folgorato, la pasta è stesa sottile da paura e si sposa col condimento in un modo così perfetto che il piatto ti svapora davanti agli occhi in tre minuti netti. Eppure, da critico onesto fino al midollo, la quinta stella non gliela posso dà e vi spiego pure il perché. Il conto finale è decisamente una mazzata tra capo e collo, si paga tantissimo il nome e il blasone per un piatto che, per quanto celestiale, si basa su ingredienti primordiali, trasformando la cena in un investimento economico che si allontana dall'idea mia de convivialità alla buona. In più, il caos della sala e il turnover dei tavoli così pressante ti fanno sentire un po' come un numero sul biglietto della lotteria, togliendo quel respiro rilassato che dovrebbe coronà una cena di questo livello. Insomma, un quattro su cinque meritatissimo per la cucina che fa miracoli col parmigiano, ma andateci sapendo che la storia ha un prezzo e che l'intimità, qui, è un lusso che non vi potete permette.

Fin dall’ingresso (non avevamo prenotato) abbiamo avuto la fortuna di incontrare Stefano che, con modi professionali e garbati, ha reso piacevole anche l’attesa (minore rispetto al previsto), una volta accomodati all’interno qualità del cibo e del servizio superiori a qualsiasi aspettativa. Complimenti per l’organizzazione, per le narrazioni e l’ambiente familiare ma di altissimo livello.

Fettucini alfredo çok yumuşak parçalanıyor ve çok fazla peynirli idi. Aynı gün panteonun orda hostariandı ismi sanırım öyle bir restoranda yemiştim, o çok daha lezzetliydi. Bence değmez buraya gitmeye. Hesabı istedikten sonra gelmesi bile yaklaşık 15 dk sürdü. Gitmeyin derim.

Service lent puis soudainement rapide, pâte alfredo flotteuse à 26 euros et lasagne réchauffée sans goût. Passez votre chemin, il y a tellement de bonnes adresses à Rome.

Abbiamo ordinato due porzioni di fetuccine alfredo ma é come se ce ne fosse arrivata una, preparate “entrambe” nello stesso piatto e poi divise ma guardando altri tavoli e altre foto online quello che ci é stato spacciato per due era praticamente una porzione. Quando abbiamo discusso il problema con il nostro cameriere ci é stato solo detto “ah ma no, ma dove vedi quello che dici? Io lo so bene, faccio questo lavoro da 3 anni” quando magari bastava solo chiedere scusa, anche solo per fare la bella faccia davanti al cliente. Insomma mi é stato dato della stupida con frasi tipo “ma noi ne facciamo anche 6 di porzioni in quel piatto”, con molta arroganza.
