Delicious food, would really recommend. Just a watch out, if you are recommended the specials, just check the pricing. We had ordered some wine, pizzas and insalata mista and the waiter suggested an alternative. I hadn’t seen it but agreed and when the bill came, I discovered the side salad was 32 euros vs 16 euros for my pizza. It just sadly spoilt the end as it was a surprise.

I have been to a lot of pizza places in my life, but NONE of them have came close to the absolute joy and wonder I had when my pizza came into my mouth. And as if the fiery Valhalla I experienced wasn’t enough, I was also then greeted by what I would consider to be the best tiramisu in my lifetime. And the presentation of it all was so great, I almost felt guilty for eating it. Almost. The staff was extremely kind with me and my family and gave such extraordinary recommendations for us to explore. While it can get a little loud, the place has a relatively moderate noise level. All and all, AMAZING restaurant, number one pizza place on the globe, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone.

We decided to try this Roman style pizza on our first night in Rome mostly on a whim and positive reviews. Thin light and crispy, it didn’t disappoint. We didn’t have reservations but were seated immediately inside. The staff were all so gratuitous and helpful. My wife had the Quattro formaggi, delicious and not to rich like some she’s had. My son had the la Pata Negra and Buffalo Mozzarella pizza which was the clear winner of the group. I believe mine was called the Sicilian, they were all delicious but the Pata Negra flavour was simply perfect. Thanks for a great evening!

The BEST pizza in Rome!! This is classic Roman style pizza with a thin stone baked base. They offer lots of specials and seasonal pizzas that all sounded amazing. I would highly recommend the Burrata & sun dried tomato bruschetta - the most incredible burrata I have ever had!!! The photos of the restaurant need updating, it has been modernised since those images and is really lovely inside.

Emma was a great stop in Rome. The pizza was excellent, with a perfect balance of flavor, texture, and freshness. They also had a very strong wine list, which made the meal even better. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our waitress, a Filipina-Italian woman, was absolutely amazing. She was warm, friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Great food, great wine, and even better hospitality. Definitely a place I’d recommend and would gladly visit again.

We went for dinner today. I would NOT recommend this place. The pizza was garbage and soggy. We asked for a baby high chair and they didn't have any. Our waiter was rude and after he took our order he never checked on us again. Had to flag him down to get the bill. Much better places to get authentic Roman pizza.

I have traveled to many countries around the world and visited countless restaurants and renowned establishments, but I have never encountered such a rude, disrespectful, and completely heartless owner in my entire life. I was yelled at for no reason simply for asking the owner, who was holding a waitlist at the door, 'Do we need to put our names down?' But the real disgrace happened shortly after. Our baby was crying frantically because he needed a diaper change and needed to be breastfed to calm down. Even though there was a baby changing area inside and at least 15 empty tables, the owner absolutely refused to let us in. He actually yelled at us, 'You haven't sat at a table yet, you can change him in an hour when it's your turn to sit!' My wife even offered to quickly breastfeed and calm the baby at one of the empty tables, but he blatantly refused. Finally, the female waitstaff couldn't stand it anymore; they intervened and convinced the man to let my wife inside. But the owner didn't stop there—he continued yelling in Italian behind my wife's back. His ego was so toxic that when it was finally our turn and the waitress called us in, the owner said 'No' and deliberately seated the people behind us instead. He only let us in when the entire queue was gone and there was no one left waiting, even though there were nearly 20 empty chairs inside the whole time. I absolutely condemn this ruthless and hostile treatment of a crying baby and his family. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs—do not spend your money to be subjected to such a humiliating and stressful experience!

This place is so incredibly good that we just had to come back for a second visit during our stay! The food was absolutely fantastic, but what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. The staff made us feel so welcome and taken care of from the moment we walked in. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

Visited Emma because of the incredible praise it gets online. It was underwhelming to say the least. Rude hostess who essentially tries to shoe you out of the way. Uninterested waiters too. We read the menu, decided what we wanted and waited 20 minutes to order, despite asking twice to be served in that time. We ordered two pizzas since it was 'unmissable when visiting Rome'. They were overly cheesy, fairly tasteless and burnt around the edges. All in all not a great experience.

I am writing this on their patio. DELICIOUS! Pasta cooked perfectly al dente (although you can request a longer cook time if you’re uncultured) and amazing flavour! They also recommended a wonderful Barolo wine. After such a wonderful savoury meal, I was craving something chocolate and lo and behold, they brought me a complimentary plate of cookies and meringues with melted chocolate for dipping!!!!! I was blown away. Highly recommend!!

We had dinner at Emma two nights in a row. The staff is excellent, well-trained, very friendly and personable and thy all spoke good English. The food was delicious with typical Italian/Roman dishes like Cacio e Pepe. The wine was excellent and reasonably priced (bearing in mind that alcoholic beverages in Italy are more expensive than in Germany or the UK).

IT'S A KIND OF MAGIC ! Soon after finalizing all the details for our 2 week vacation in Italy I made a dinner reservation on Emma's website for Fri, March 21st at 6.30pm...the day after we arrived in Rome. During our first vacation in Italy 18 months ago this amazing restaurant was recommended to us by our personal tour guide Valeria when we checked out the Colosseum and other monumental sites while staying in Monti, Rome. AS GOOD AS IT GETS ! To say we enjoyed our dinner experience would be a huge understatement. This was THE BEST DINING EXPERIENCE during our 3 week vacation in Italy and Paris. Thanks to Francesco the charming owner, Valerio & Valentina the lovely host / hostess and all the friendly staff incl Chris our incredible server who made us feel like royalty. WE'RE BACK ! After catching a ride in an Uber from our apartment in Monti we arrived here a few minutes before 6.30pm ( opening time ) on Friday. WHAT A WELCOME ! When the doors opened we were greeted in the most welcoming manner by our good friend Valerio the host who said...Michael & Sherri you guys look great ! Shortly after Chris the world's best server came out to get a selfie with us. KEEP IN MIND ! They hadn't seen us for 18 months. I had requested in my reservation to dine in the Skylight Room due to the cooler weather. You can see the great photo I took featured on Emma's Instagram site. THE BEST ! Chris of course was our server again....host Valerio made sure of that. The large beautiful dining room filled up very fast and the excitement began. Chris is probably the only server in the world who we have trusted to choose items off the menu which suit our particular tastes. CHAMPAGNE TO START ! And then the food started rolling out to our table....tasty bruschetta, crispy focaccia with fresh date tomatoes & fresh basil, fried rice balls, roasted artichoke, chickpea with truffle soup and pappardelle ragu. Chris even picked out a Tangerine IPA for me which tasted fine. DESSERT TIME ! Out came an array of very decadent desserts....tiramisu espresso, sicilian cannolo deconstructed by spoon, millefoglie crumble, tangerine sorbet and homemade biscuit selection with rich venezuelan chocolate dip. OMG....was all that super delicious ! On the way out we had a wonderful chat with Francesco the owner. YOU WON'T FIND A BETTER RESTAURANT !

NUMERO UNO ! Without a doubt the pinnacle of all our dining experiences during our 3 week vacation in Italy and Paris. Wednesday, Sept 27th was the last day of our amazing stay in Rome and we wanted a big finale. The previous day we toured the Colosseum, Vatican City and St Peter's Basilica with our private tour guide Valeria....also an archaeologist. JUST ASK ! My wife and I are always on the hunt for new eateries so we asked Valeria ( a Roman ) for some tips..number one on the list was her fav Emma Pizzeria. DONE DEAL ! In our excitement we neglected to get a dinner reservation. Around 6.30pm we grabbed a taxi near our apartment in Monti to bring us here. After about 15 minutes the cab driver stopped on a fairly busy street and said....walk down that alley over there and you will arrive at Emma. TOO EASY ! It was dark and there are a lot of alleys in Rome....we wandered around like lost chickens for quite a while until we finally arrived here at 7.30pm. From what we could see the restaurant looked very busy. We approached the host desk and I asked about a table for 2. Valerio the host very politely replied without a reservation it would be a one hour wait. OH NO ! I mentioned to Valerio that Emma was highly recommended to us by our private tour guide Valeria a well known Roman archaeologist and this was our last night in Rome. WHOO HOO ! All of a sudden a quick word from Valerio to a server named Chris and we were seated at a table on the outdoor patio with 60 seconds. GOTTA LOVE IT ! From that moment on we were treated like royalty....Chris our server raised the bar for exceptional service way beyond anything we have ever encountered. FIRST UP ! I read the beer list and really admired the nods to Led Zeppelin and Nirvana....2 of my favs. I ended up asking Chris for a Saison Dupont - 6.5% abv...a beauty from Belgium. It tasted perfect ! We were hungry and a bit worn out after a long day so we asked Chris our brilliant server for his suggestions. BRING IT ON ! Every evening is a good evening for pizza. Before we knew it some amazing dishes hit the table courtesy of a smiling food runner named Rattan.....a Focaccia Flatbread ( fresh date tomatoes & fresh basil ), a Burrata Starter ( buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto, olives, sun-dried tomatoes ). SO FRESH AND SO DELICIOUS ! Between courses I went for a walk inside the restaurant taking pics of course and introducing myself to Francesco the cool owner sitting behind the cashier desk. We had a nice chat about all sorts of things....the building is owned by The Vatican. Back at our table an incredible looking Margherita style pizza called the SUPERBIO was delivered to us. Trust me this pizza was super delicious...full of rich flavor. Time for another delicious Saison Dupont.THERE'S MORE ! Remember we were going with whatever Chris our super sharp server suggested. Next up came an incredible looking white pizza...Bufala e Porcini. Darn it tasted great ! Believe it not we were ready for some dessert. Again our server Chris took care of things.....before we knew it we had DESSERT HEAVEN on our table. What a selection of tantalizing sweet treats ! By this time it was around 9pm and we were getting ready to wind things up. BUT THEN ! Our server Chris outdid himself when a serve of Tangerine Sorbetto landed on our table.....a palate cleanser. That must have been the creamiest sorbetto I've ever tried. We headed inside after paying the bill to thank Francesco the kind owner for making our last night in Rome one we will cherish forever. And then we posed for a few pics with Chris our superstar server. AS GOOD AS IT GETS !

Vaig arribar a mitja hora de tancar, em van atendre amb un somriure i avisant que faltava poc per plegar, em van servir rapidissim una pizza tonda que va ser màgica (juraria que van ser dos minuts) . Últimament tasto moltes pizzes napolitanes i fer una romana fina aquí va recordarme el perquè em vaig enamorar de la pizza. El preu no es econòmic, però la qualitat dels ingredients és molt bona. La pizza es plegava com tocava, era finissima i sense contorn, com mana la tradició romana. Felicitats. De les millors experiències a Roma.

Mi dispiace che sia diventato un posto solo per turisti, peccato perché una volta i piatti erano davvero molto buoni. I turisti che non sanno cosa sia davvero la qualità dei prodotti della nostra terra metto no 5 stelle ignari della reale “”qualità”” dei prodotti serviti. (Anche se a loro non interessa) non ci tornerò più. Per i primi e secondi di gran lunga migliore Roscioli, non ci sono paragoni.

Sono stata molte volte in questo ristorante/pizzeria ma sempre molto tardi, con i colleghi alla fine di un turno serale. E ho sempre trovato la pizza notevole, ben cotta, ben lievitata, servizio attento e veloce. E’ proprio per questo che ho voluto tornarci con mio marito, in serata di weekend ma in orario normale, incuriosito dal mio entusiasmo. E ho sbagliato. Ristorante (enorme) strapieno, direi quasi esclusivamente di turisti. Supplì buoni, niente da dire, tempura di verdure che se non era congelata gli assomigliava molto, solo carote e zucchine e tutto meno una tempura. Ma la ciliegina sulla torta sono state le pizze, che abbiamo atteso per 50 minuti, chiedendo notizie per due volte e sentendoci rispondere che il forno è uno e il ristorante è grande. E quando sono arrivate erano praticamente crude al punto da risultare, lo dico a posteriori, indigeribili. E parliamo poi del fatto che una margherita con bufala sfilacciata aveva un’ombra di pomodoro talmente ombra ma sembrare un ripensamento da una pizza bianca e la pizza con alici del Cantabrico e aggiunta di mozzarella è arrivata con alici super salate, non identificabili; solitamente vengono servite con la loro scatola per dimostrarne la provenienza, soprattutto quando poi nel conto il loro costo di 10 euro viene aggiunto al costo della pizza. Complessivamente, una debacle totale. Incapacità di gestire la capienza del ristorante rispetto all’output della cucina e del forno in particolare, nessuna attenzione alla qualità del cibo servito, nessuna trasparenza sul conto. Che peraltro non è neanche fiscale. Diciamo che da italiana mi sono sentita in grande disagio guardando tutti quei poveri turisti che sarebbero tornati a casa con questa impressione di buona cucina. Roscioli cari, fossi in voi, ritirerei il nome dalla firma.

Sus pizzas son buenas los ingredientes son de buena calidad su masa es muy buena, definitivamente no son las mejores pizzas de italia pero están en el top 5. Llegamos pocos minutos antes de que cerraran para medio día y aun así nos atendieron puntos extras por eso.

Emma Pizzeria i Roma var en fantastisk opplevelse! Pizzaen hadde den perfekte, tynne bunnen og smakfulle råvarer som virkelig imponerte. Det som likevel utmerket seg mest, var servicen – de ansatte var utrolig oppmerksomme, og servicen var virkelig veldig, veldig bra gjennom hele kvelden. Fra atmosfæren til den siste biten med mat var alt helt topp. Dette er et sted man bare må besøke når man er i byen!

Wow, que bonita sorpresa. Nos estábamos hospedando justo enfrente y decidimos probarlo y no nos arrepentimos, excelente comida, servicio, todo. El Hugo Sprtiz delicioso, las pizzas wow, la pasta, la carne todo esta super rico. No tome fotos porque siempre moríamos de hambre, vale la pena 100%, por lo general nosotros no repetimos restaurantes xq nos gusta explorar pero esta joya tuvimos que regresar a tomar la última comida para despedirnos de Roma.

Très bon restaurant dans une petite rue calme à proximité de la place Argentina. La carte est copieuse , nous avons pris de bons crostini à la mozzarella et aux anchois puis des pâtes caccio et peppe qui étaient vraiment délicieuses. Il y a de bons vins au verre. Le service est efficace et souriant. Il y a de très nombreuses et appétissantes pizza à la carte que nous avons déjà eu l'occasion de tester il y a quelques années.

Ero cliente di questo ristorante dal lontano 2017, e un paio di anni fa avevo lasciato una recensione a 5 stelle. Purtroppo, devo constatare che da un anno a questa parte la qualità dei prodotti e del servizio è andata a diminuire notevolmente. Trovo inaccettabile l'atteggiamento di sufficienza e presa in giro nei confronti dei clienti, siano essi stranieri o italiani. Abbiamo aspettato 20 minuti solo per dei fiori di zucca perché la comanda non era stata inviata in cucina. Confrontando le foto che scattai nel 2024 con la pizza di ieri sera, il crollo qualitativo è evidente. Mi è stata servita una Margherita praticamente bianca: sotto una mozzarella dal gusto discutibile non c'era traccia di pomodoro. Alla mia obiezione, un cameriere straniero ha liquidato la cosa dicendo che la "mozzarella era colorata col pomodoro". Il direttore italiano ha accolto la mia richiesta e ha fatto rifare la pizza. Nonostante il cambio, la nuova pizza non aveva comunque nulla a che vedere con la qualità di un tempo. Guardando le recensioni recenti, è evidente che i 5 stelle arrivano ormai solo da turisti ignari, mentre gli italiani condividono lo stesso dissenso.

Sono cliente da due anni, vado spesso, sono sempre gentili ed è sempre tutto preparato con professionalità; l'unica " nota" non positiva, che dovrebbero rinnovare il menù, ma certamente questo non è la priorità in questo l momento. AGGIORNAMENTO 2026 Mi dispiace ma l'ultima esperienza è stata davvero spiacevole, purtroppo è diventato un posto prettamente turistico, e la qualità dei prodotti utilizzati è diminuita moltissimo. Non tornerò più.
