11/06/2026Not sure how it gets its good reviews beyond the quirky decor. Food didn’t look up to much and many people were not finishing their dishes. Had an OK cocktail from a rude and disagreeable waitress while sitting on uncomfortable chairs next to the door into the smoke filled garden. It’s a Jazz venue, but only on some weekend nights, so be careful if it’s jazz that you want. The website takes you to an instagram page that’s not up to date. The staff know nothing of schedule, one even saying events have never been advertised on the website.

30/05/2026We had a great experience at Blackmarket Hall. We arrived without a reservation as a group of 6, and luckily they were able to accommodate us. When you enter, you go down a set of stairs and it feels a bit like a speakeasy, which adds to the atmosphere and makes the place feel special. We were informed that our table would only be available until 9:00 PM, which was completely fine for us. We ordered beers, a Don Julio tequila (we’re Mexican, so we had to 😄), and Campari Spritzes. Everything was delicious, and the service was fast and friendly. For snacks, we shared the hummus and the parmigiana balls, both of which were excellent and perfect for an aperitivo. Everything was really nice. I would recommend making a reservation, especially if you’re a larger group, although you might get lucky and find an available table as we did. Would definitely come back!

27/05/2026This was such a great unique atmosphere with great food. The staff was fantastic. The only downside was the smoking. If someone smoked outside it drifted inside. Otherwise, I highly recommend.

07/05/2026We visited Blackmarket for Aperitivo and we were pleasantly surprised to find this bar/restaurant with eclectic decorations and a floorplan reminiscent structure in a Harry Potter movie. Twisting hallways that dump out onto different floors with seating areas for small groups or couples. There is even a "secret garden deck" on the bottom floor. Their aperitivo food is grouped into four different sections: Ham & Cheese €15, Seafood €18, Meat €18 and Vegetarian €18. You get five different pieces in each selection. I suggest you try the seafood first-- Mini Salmon Burger, Tuna Tataki, Crispy Anchiovi, Mini Bruschetta with Butter and Cantabrian Anchiovis and a Mini Crunchy Prawn Burger. Sounds delicious right ?!?! They make all the classic cocktails and some new ones with fancy names. Whatever you choose will be good. The best choice you can make is going there in the first place.

05/04/2026Very disappointing experience. We ordered a rare steak, but it came out completely well done. We also ordered a virgin (non-alcoholic) drink, but it clearly contained alcohol,even after we specifically double checked with the waitress, who assured us it was alcohol free, then the other waiter mentioned it has alcohol. On top of that, when we wanted to order more appetizers, no one came to our table to take the order, despite waiting for quite some time. Overall, the food quality was poor, the only decent part was the appetizers. The service and attention to detail were seriously lacking. Would not recommend this place at all.

03/04/2026I was really looking forward to this as reviews and recommendations were encouraging. However despite it being a very cool place the food and service was not great. We had the sharing plates, which were cold and small sized. The service wasn't attentive at all and we could only order 1 round of drinks and nobody came back to us to ask if food was ok or if we needed more drinks. This is simple restaurant etiquette in my book. We skipped dessert and went elsewhere quickly. 😥

29/03/2026Overrated place. Unfriendly and especially inattentive waiter (Not just at our table). I see that sometimes it can get hectic in a place. But although it was a weekend, there were not too many seats taken when we tried to order (multiple times). Team brought the wrong food. Had to eat in sequence / not together. Waited over 40min, again. Wild: Had this meal on the bill at the end even - they wanted to charge us for it / their mistake. The worst: After having ordered drinks after the meal - and even before they brought them 🍸- they then said we have to leave soon as they‘d give this table to a next reservation (FYI: there was no info about this at all - no sign, no upfront ℹ️ prior to is ordering) —- In general imo the location and the food is really overpriced for what it is. Meals are of average quality - you probably get better food in Rome at an average streetfood place. (Cocktails are mediocre + rather small, too). Can’t help myself but perceive this as a real touristic and uncharitable place rather than a hidden spot - and the staff feels just fine with this experience... Plenty of places you can spend your time and money on Rome. Sorry to say, but from my perspective this shouldn’t be one / on your list.

17/03/2026The person on the front desk was so mean he had so many places inside but still he said us to stand on the back in the hall and then when we went to ask him after seeing so many empty spaces he just said that he didn’t realise and he gave it to other people in front of us (who didn’t have any prior reservations because they also asked for any table in front of us )which I found was kind of based on Italian and non Italians because my friend and me we saw the same thing happening to other people who seemed American so I don’t know if that’s the reason but he gave place to all Italians in front of us which I felt was a bit racist so I won’t recommend this place at all

06/03/2026Great atmosphere and lovely tucked-away spaces that feel very cozy and intimate. To be fair, our first round of drinks arrived promptly; however, the service dipped significantly afterward. Despite the place not being crowded at 10 PM, our second bottle of wine didn't arrive until we had finished our food. This would have been tolerable if the staff had shown some empathy or acknowledged the delay, but the service felt indifferent. Food was fairly average.

05/03/2026Despite the other great reviews and nice pictures. Unfortunately, I cannot give this place a higher rating as it was below our expectations. The cocktails were watery, the chairs were very uncomfortable and there was no live music or music at all, especially during the peak evening hours when the place was completely full. The overall vibe was just not there, also the place felt very cramped unlike in the pictures. Sometimes less is more.

23/02/2026Nice place, but it was quite crowded, so we were offered a table outside, which we accepted. The food and cocktails were good, but overall the experience felt overpriced for the quality you get. The cocktails were decorated very cheaply with mint leaves, yet cost €14, which is quite a lot. The vibe seemed more student-oriented, and the waiters appeared bored and not very interested in the customers. I wouldn’t go there again.

04/05/2026Veramente una location e del cibo particolari. Peccato per il personale. Pochi saluti, anzi spesso assenti o con aria di sufficienza. Onestamente quando entro in un luogo (ancora di più se di un certo target economico) mi aspetto che sia lo staff a salutarmi e sorridermi (mentre invece non è stato fatto neanche di risposta al mio primo saluto) Per coronare il tutto il barman/gestore/cassiere non saprei quale fosse il suo ruolo ma sembrava una persona di riferimento, si è messo a parlare al telefono dei fatti propri in un linguaggio poco consono e pur avendo a disposizione mille sale per avere una conversazione privata. Può capitare a tutti una giornata storta, ma sembrava proprio l’aria che si respira quotidianamente ma ovviamente meritano una seconda chance. Sono convinto che un locale può aver un bel menu, musica, arredamento e atmosfera, ma la differenza vera la fanno le persone. Mi permetto di dirlo perché faccio lo stesso mestiere anche se in un settore diverso.

Prezzi onesti in relazione alla location. Unica nota negativa, la porta a vetri per accedere ai tavoli in giardino sempre aperta con fumo di sigaretta che costantemente entrava nella sala bar. Credo che la Direzione dovrebbe estendere il divieto di fumo in giardino, in quanto è un chiostro angusto non areato con le conseguenze dette sopra. Pertanto piano inferiore (bar e giardino) non consigliato ai non fumatori

Dazu gab es Live-Musik, die für eine tolle Atmosphäre gesorgt hat. Der Laden bietet mehrere spannende Bereiche innen und außen, sodass jeder seinen Lieblingsplatz findet. Ein sehr interessanter Ort mit besonderem Flair, den man bei einem Rom-Besuch unbedingt einplanen sollte – vor allem für die hervorragenden Cocktails!

Il locale ha un’atmosfera unica, curata nei minimi dettagli, con uno stile un po’ retrò che lo rende accogliente e diverso dai soliti posti. I cocktail sono ben fatti e originali, si percepisce attenzione sia nella scelta degli ingredienti che nella presentazione. Anche il cibo è di ottimo livello: piatti gustosi, ben impiattati e con proposte interessanti. Un punto forte è sicuramente la musica: dal vivo o selezionata con gusto, contribuisce a creare un ambiente rilassato ma allo stesso tempo vivace. Il personale è gentile e disponibile, senza essere invadente, cosa che rende la serata ancora più piacevole. Ci torneró sicuramente!

23/03/2026Purtroppo devo mettere due stelle a questo locale, il quale è peggiorato molto ultimamente. sebbene sia molto particolare, con musica dal vivo. Sono stata con con otto amici abbiamo aspettato un’ora e mezza per avere degli hamburger tra l’altro serviti freddi e con pochissime patatine altrettanto fredde. Una birra media ha un costo di 9 euro l’una. Per me è follia. Sedute scomode. Sconsigliato.

Esperienza avrei detto perfetta se non fosse per la maleducazione della gente che passava con i cellulari per filmare il locale (e ovviamente anche noi). Questo ha in qualche modo rovinato l’esperienza. Non chiedo chissà quale privacy, ma quantomeno gradirei non essere ripresa mentre vado a cena o a bere in compagnia, per cui non credo ci torneremo più.

Attesa della cena infinita, nonostante la cameriera faceva quello che poteva, e dopo più di 1 ora e 20 sono arrivati i panini appena tiepidi con le patatine fredde e una porzione scarsa per 18 euro. Sinceramente mi aspetto e pretendo di più da un locale di questo calibro. Diciamo che grazie alla location si riescono a salvare ma per il resto tutto da rivedere.

19/02/2026Sono venuta per il mio compleanno con la mia famiglia ed è stato uno dei compleanni migliori della mia vita. L'atmosfera è retrò, calda e accogliente, così che appena entri ti senti catapultata in un'altra epoca. Il locale in sé è interessantissimo perché sviluppato su più piani e arredato con grande cura, sono riusciti a sfruttare ogni parte di esso ricavando angoli confortevoli ovunque. Avevamo chiesto di essere accomodati ad un tavolo un po' defilato, ed è stato esattamente l'ideale per goderci sia il concerto nella sala accanto, sia per chiacchierare in tranquillità. Il cibo è ricercato, di ottima qualità e, secondo me, perfettamente all'altezza di un locale del genere, senza spendere un occhio della testa. I ragazzi sono stati gentilissimi e attenti, anche più del dovuto, nonostante la serata fosse caotica, perché tra l'altro era sabato sera. Il black market hall è stato davvero una scoperta bellissima e spero di tornare presto

Rifletterei di più sullo staff, lo spazio è piccolo e si vede, è anche ciò che rende bello il posto, ma abbiamo trovato i camerieri un pochino pressanti, sia negli spostamenti che nel servizio ai tavoli. Delle volte può andarci di meno o possiamo essere un pochino più nervosi, ma non si dovrebbe vedere. Tolto questo siamo stati benissimo

20/12/2025Sabato pomeriggio di un'inusualmente temperato dicembre. Intringante dedalo di cunicoli che sfociano in una calda sala con musica dal vivo e spazi esterni per fumatori. Ho preso un buon negroni ed uno dei migliori old fashioned che io mi ricordi. Staff sorridente e professionale, in particolare la ragazza con la treccia che ricorda la cantante degli Evanescence. Atmosfera rilassante, ottima pulizia e conto di ritornarci per il cibo che non ho avuto il tempo di provare...a presto!

11/12/2025Il Blackmarket Hall – Rione Monti è un locale davvero suggestivo, incastonato nel cuore del quartiere. Si scende qualche gradino e, quasi senza accorgersene, ci si ritrova in un’atmosfera d’altri tempi: piccole stanze, luci soffuse, angoli raccolti e un fascino retrò che conquista subito. La proposta food è molto buona, anzi ottima, con prezzi in linea con locali simili della zona. La location è perfetta anche per aperitivi, per i quali il locale offre menu dedicati e una carta dei vini davvero interessante. Chi desidera può poi restare per il momento musicale, che solitamente inizia alle 21:30, acquistando al bar la bevanda preferita: un’esperienza che completa perfettamente la serata. La prenotazione è consigliabile, anzi praticamente obbligatoria, viste le dimensioni e il grande afflusso. Uno dei punti forti del Blackmarket Hall è la programmazione musicale: molte serate propongono live jazz, ma questa volta abbiamo scelto di assistere all’esibizione di GianMarco Dottori, artista di grande spessore che ha animato il dopocena con brani italiani e internazionali, coinvolgendoci e facendoci divertire dall’inizio alla fine. Un’esperienza davvero piacevole, da ripetere.

08/12/2025Abbiamo scoperto questo locale nel centro di Roma dove oltre a fare buonissimi aperitivi si può consumare una deliziosa cena accompagnati da musica di sottofondo in una location veramente unica nel Suo genere! Consigliatissimo! Ci sono anche serate con musica dal vivo.

Situato nel cuore del quartiere, mi piace in primis per il suo arredamento vintage e ricercato, in secondo luogo per l'atmosfera che si respira, il personale preparato e cordiale, il loro menù food & drink davvero molto vario e per tutti i gusti oserei dire, anche per i vegetariani e per la selezione di musica dal vivo che propongono, specie durante il periodo invernale. I proprietari hanno fatto e continuano a fare un ottimo lavoro. Assolutamente consigliato.
