12/06/2026Yeah I suppose it is cool to go and see it as it’s something different. The McDonalds cafe was lovely now I must say and had a far bigger selection than what you would normally see. The seating area is jammed with people and the toilets are disgusting though be warned

08/06/2026The restaurant is really beautiful, modern, clean and very pleasant. Unfortunately, my entire experience was ruined by Barbara's attitude at the checkout. I don't know if she was having a bad day, but she was particularly cold and unpleasant during my visit. I felt like I was bothering simply by coming to pay for my order. No smile, no kind words, and an attitude that really gave the feeling that the customer was a problem rather than a person to welcome. This is all the more regrettable as the restaurant itself is superb. A place of this quality deserves a service that is up to par. Today, what I remember most of my visit is unfortunately not the restaurant, but Barbara's reception.

29/05/2026McDonald’s Roma Piazza di Spagna is definitely one of the more unique McDonald’s locations I’ve visited. The location is perfect — right next to Piazza di Spagna and the Spanish Steps, in the heart of Rome. The interior has a very different atmosphere compared to a typical fast food restaurant. The arches, decorative details, and spacious halls fit well with the Roman surroundings and make the place feel much more stylish than an ordinary McDonald’s. I also really liked the coffee and bakery area near the entrance with a large selection of pastries and proper coffee — something I rarely see in McDonald’s in Germany or other countries. The food was surprisingly good. The fries with cheddar and bacon were especially memorable — not just regular fries with sauce, but more like a full dish on their own. We even ordered extra sauce out of habit, but honestly it wasn’t needed because the fries already had plenty of flavor. Everything tasted fresh and our large order was prepared very quickly, despite filling two trays. A special thank you to the employee who helped carry one of the trays to our table. Small gestures like that really improve the customer experience and leave a positive impression. There were a few downsides, though. The restaurant was extremely noisy and crowded, especially with many families and children, so it was difficult to relax and enjoy the meal peacefully. Cleanliness was acceptable, but you can already see that this location handles a huge number of visitors every day and feels a bit worn in some areas. The biggest negative point was the toilet access system. Entry is only possible using a QR code from the receipt. I understand this is a very touristy area, but the system itself worked poorly. I personally saw customers who had already bought food unable to enter because the scanner did not read their QR codes correctly. People had to wait for someone else to exit so they could pass through the doors while they were open. That part was frustrating and unnecessarily inconvenient. Overall, this is still a very interesting McDonald’s to visit because of its atmosphere, location, fast service, and unique menu items. Definitely worth visiting while exploring the center of Rome.

17/05/2026Stopped here to see the famous Roman McDonalds. Well, it's a total waste of your time. They have a few arches and a statue, all modern, and that is it. Our counter help was totally disengaged and ignored all of our food questions creating an unpleasant dining experience on top of this. Not worth a stop.

07/05/2026Severe Food Poisoning - May 3rd, 7:30 AM Shift I am writing this to alert management to a food safety issue on the morning of May 3rd. My husband and I ate at this location around 7:30 AM (just after opening). We both ordered the McMuffin Bacon and Egg. The Incident: I became violently ill with food poisoning exactly 8 hours after consuming this meal. I experienced severe nausea, vomiting (which continued and woke me up at 2 AM), and food aversion, nausea, and extreme heartburn that lasted over 72 hours. This was the only meal I had eaten that day, and it significantly impacted the next three days of my vacation. Service Observations: When we arrived, the morning staff appeared to be having a meeting in the kitchen. Despite the order machines beeping, no one was attending to the food. And we were the only ones there in line waiting for food. Eventually, another staff member arrived and handed us two sandwiches that had been sitting under the heat lamp. I am concerned about how long they were held there or the temperature of the ingredients used during that shift transition. The Atmosphere/Facility: The restaurant itself was very clean. Traveler Tip: To use the restroom, you need a separate QR code slip from the reception; the code on your food receipt will not work. I rarely write reviews like this, but given the severity of the illness and the specific timing, I wanted to ensure this was noted for corporate quality control. (For clarity: I have confirmed this was not pregnancy or any other unrelated issue or food consumption since this was all I ate before getting sick).

It is decorated with marble walls, fountains, mosaics, and frescoes, capturing the sensibility of ancient Rome, giving the feeling of being in a small museum or a high-end restaurant. 25/04/2026Food ok - standard as in any other McD. However, I do not understand the "clicking" by service employees of the expected order numbers so that they disappear from the monitors. Then the staff only after a few minutes shouts the order number for collection.. I have not encountered such "bypassing" of the system in any other country.

18/04/2026Fun to check out the iconic McDonald’s. This place is massive. We came at 9am and it was empty but it still took about 15 minutes to get our food. No refills on drinks. You need a code to use the bathroom and you have to show your receipt to get it. The pastries are a fun addition and pretty tasty.

15/04/2026•This is the first and most famous McDonald’s in all of Italy, opened back in 1986! •Location: It is tucked away at Piazza di Spagna 46/47, just to the left as you face the Spanish Steps. Look for the relatively small entrance—the 'museum' feel is all inside! •The interior is marvelous. With the frescoes, statues, and marble pillars, it genuinely feels like eating in a gallery. The breakfast items were delicious and made with care. We will definitely be back when we return to Rome!

It is, without question, the most disgusting toilet experience of my trip to Italy and the most disgusting of my many trips to use a McD bathroom. Just awful.

The toilets are through and automatic gate which kept failing so was hilarious to watch people getting stuck, but the whole vibe is like no other McDonald's I've ever been too.

Andare al MC Donald's è un delitto in generale, a Roma è un crimine. A Piazza di Spagna un crimine con l'aggravante dei futili motivi. Sono andato per accontentare gli adolescenti della comitiva, che sono usciti anche loro estremamente delusi.

Ci sono i totem appena entri per fare l'ordine e scegliere in tranquillità cosa mangiare: ci sono sia le novità che i soliti menù (piccolo medio o grande che comprendono il panino la bibita e le patatine). Poi si può aggiungere il caffè, gelato o dolcetto. La toilette è disponibile solo per i clienti con ricevuta di pagamento ma sono 4 bagni per le donne e credo idem per gli uomini, sempre con molta fila ( non va bene per le urgenze 😅 )

27/04/2026Sehr groß. Sehr sauber. An mehreren Stellen gibt es Selbstbedienungsterminals. Je nachdem an welchem man bestellt hat, wird man an einen Counter verwiesen, von denen es auch mehrere gibt. Auf die Toiletten kann man nur mit dem Kassenbon, der wird an einer Schranke gelesen-vermutlich, weil sonst viele Touristen nur wg. der kostenlosen Toulette reinkommen würden. Das Essen wurde schnell zubereitet. Viele Sitzmöglichkeiten.

25/04/2026il cibo é normale, il servizio é pessimo, cassiera MOLTO maleducata e con atteggiamento scontroso, ordino un gelato, aspetto 15 minuti e dopo un po' mi spazientisco e vado a sollecitarlo. Dopodiché, me lo danno senza problemi. L'ambiente é veramente insolito e caotico e la zona del fast food dove si ordina salato e hamburger é differente rispetto al mc cafe che c'é all'inizio appena si entra nella struttura (confuso e non si riesce a capire inizialmente se ce o no la parte del mc dove si prendono gli hamburger).

Nachdem ich dort schon 15 Minuten gewartet hatte, sagte man mir, ich sollte die Bestellung direkt an der Kaffeebar abholen. Dort waren unsere zwei bestellten und bezahlten Croissants nicht erhältlich und wir sollten ins Erdgeschoss gehen. Dort gab es nur eins der Croissants und ich musste etwas anderes nehmen. Fazit: das Bestellsystem funktioniert nicht. Kundenfreundlichkeit sieht anders aus. Das Wort Entschuldigung, scusi oder sorry ist bei den Mitarbeitern nicht bekannt.

25/03/2026Esperienza davvero deludente. Il locale è sempre troppo affollato, al punto da rendere difficile anche solo muoversi o trovare posto. Le macchinette per ordinare, che dovrebbero velocizzare il servizio, spesso non funzionano e questo crea ancora più caos e attese inutili. Inoltre, ho trovato il comportamento del personale poco professionale: una persona delle pulizie, apparentemente giapponese, si è messa a insultare in giapponese senza alcun motivo, creando un ambiente decisamente sgradevole. Per concludere, i tavoli non vengono puliti adeguatamente. Mangiare in un posto sporco è davvero inaccettabile. Nel complesso, un’esperienza negativa sotto diversi aspetti.

18/03/2026A kiszolgálás borzalmas, rendeltünk elvitelre 3 fajta szendvicset menübe, 3 fajta sült krumplit, tiramisut és kókuszos csokikat ebből a felét sikerült teljesíteniük... sült krumpliból egy alap fajtát kaptunk a másik kettő eltűnt az éterben, a desszerteket se sikerült bele tenni, de helyette út közben kiszakadt a zacskó mert eldöntve tették bele az egyik üdítőt úgyhogy teljesen át ázott az egész! Csak a különleges dolgok miatt jöttünk hogy ki tudjuk próbálni mert Magyarországon sok mindent nem árulnak ezekből, hát egyet se sikerült megkóstolni! Nem ajánlom !!! Vagy nézd át mit hozol és mit kapsz !

El lugar tiene columnas, mosaicos y decoraciones inspiradas en la antigua Roma que te hacen sentir más bien como si estuvieras en un edificio histórico antes que en una hamburguesería; parece casi una mezcla entre fast food y museo tradicional.

26/02/2026Esperienza pessima e imbarazzante per un locale in pieno centro. Ho ordinato 3 menù da asporto ai totem, ho pagato la busta e al ritiro hanno messo tutto in un’unica busta, ammassando panini e patatine. Il risultato è stato disastroso (come si vede anche dalle foto): • una porzione di patatine mancava (manca sempre qualcosa ogni volta che vado qui) • panini schiacciati, con salse colate fuori dalle confezioni • patatine scoperte che uscivano dalla busta • busta insufficiente per 3 menù, che si è rotta dopo circa 1 km Il cibo è arrivato in condizioni pietose. Oltre al danno, la beffa: ho pagato l’asporto e il servizio è stato gestito in modo pessimo. Zero attenzione al cliente. In una zona come Piazza di Spagna questo livello è inaccettabile.

11/02/2026Personale veramente irrispettoso e maleducato. Chiediamo spiegazione per un conto in quanto c’era un euro di differenza (in vetrina c’era scritto chiaramente due donuts 2,60€ nel conto ci vengono fatti pagare 3,60€). Alla fine tra risatine e frecciatine nei nostri confronti per “solo un euro di differenza” vengono smossi diversi colleghi al che la arriva l’intelligente di turno che se ne esce con “sono solo 60 centesimi di differenza”. Al di là di tutto lascia perplessa la maleducazione e la superficialità con cui il cliente è stato trattato e il fatto che vengono mostrati cartellini che non corrispondono al vero.
