14/06/2026I had to ask for the wine menu as the waiter assumed that my family won’t drink anything … strange for an Italian restaurant. At the door instead of being greeted properly I was told that I must order 1 dish per person and then I had to validate my choices with the waiter to see if I have ordered enough or not (apparently desserts don’t count) After feeling very unwelcome and being judged and being stressed out about what to order to fulfil their requirements, we got the bread which was very salty. In fact all of the food was very very salty. The waiter never came to refill our wine despite seeing empty glasses and even me trying to pour for every one. Honestly I knew this was a tourist trap but it had 4 stars and it was getting late … big mistake. I think you are better off finding another restaurant. Note for the restaurant - maybe you shouldn’t be so judgy about your customers and try making them feel welcome. I think we got judges and had to face prejudice just because we were Indians.

28/05/2026Despite a severe rainstorm, the restaurant management handled the crowd and orders exceptionally well. The staff kept smiling and stayed professional under pressure, which I truly appreciate. On top of that, the food was absolutely delicious 😌

Great atmosphere, excellent service, and high-quality food. If there were more than 5 stars, this place would truly deserve them!

21/05/2026Visited in May 2026. Shared a fungi pizza with my husband which was delicious. Had the mixed salad with grilled calamari and shrimps , capers and almonds. It was the best salad üçe had in Italy! And we part live in Italy ! DELİCİOUS . And prices are reasonable considering it is in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle II. Will definetly come back!

Enjoyed both our orders; Spaghetti with Carbonara Sauce - Al dente noodles, generous bacon and pecorino cheese. Veal Cutlet (Milanese Style) with Roasted Potatoes - a must try traditional Milan dish. Crispy on the outside, tender, and well seasoned. Lucky no waiting during our visit. Staff were attentive and friendly. Recommended while at Duomo Milano for authentic Lombardy cuisine.

16/05/2026⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A big compliment to Marco and his entire team at La Locanda del Gatto Rosso! We came here two evenings in a row — which already says everything. From the very first moment, we felt warmly welcomed and exceptionally well taken care of. Marco and his team create an atmosphere where you instantly feel comfortable and appreciated as a guest. The service was attentive, friendly, and professional without ever being intrusive. The food was outstanding on both evenings — from the perfectly prepared pizza to the traditional Milanese specialties. Especially the “Cotoletta di Vitello alla Milanese” and the “Rustin Negà” were absolutely delicious, authentic, and full of flavor. The desserts were also a real highlight. The location inside the beautiful Galleria Vittorio Emanuele makes the whole experience even more special. If you want to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine and true hospitality in Milan, this is definitely the right place. We will absolutely come back! 🇮🇹🍷🍕

07/05/2026I dined alone and i asked if there is decaf coffee, answer is no(actually there is decaf). I didn’t want to order bottled sparkling water because I couldn’t have full bottle by myself. However, the waiter kept asking me repeatedly if i order water, like 7times in total, and gave me really judgmental and unpleasant looks. His attitude made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome as a solo guest. It is unacceptable for restaurant staff to pressure customers into extra orders and show obvious disapproval just because someone chooses not to buy wine or drink.

07/05/2026Our favourite restaurant in Milan. Despite the 'outdoor' area being constantly busy, they always find a good table for you. The staff are extremely professional but still warm and friendly. Our waiter Louis (unsure of spelling) was fantastic - warm, funny, professional, and attentive. Always looking over to his tables in case customers want his attention. Exactly what you want from a waiter. The food was absolutely phenomenal, both mains and desserts were 10/10 every time. Without much wait considering it is in the centre of the shopping district. Free bread with homemade spicy sauce. A cover charge is added and entirely justified. I just wish we found an ATM during our trip so we could tip more. We returned to this restaurant during our trip, and will continue to recommend and hopefully come back one day.

We were seated quickly and the service throughout the meal was friendly and well-paced. Not too fast, not too slow, just right for a relaxed dinner. Complimentary bread was served, followed by a good selection of dishes and wines. The food was very enjoyable, although the pricing is on the higher side. This is likely due to the location, as many restaurants in the Galleria are priced similarly or higher. While not the best value for money, the combination of location, service, and quality makes it a worthwhile experience.

18/04/2026This restaurant was a complete disappointment. The staff have a very poor attitude and clearly don’t know how to deal with customers in a respectful or professional way. What made it worse is the obvious difference in how they treat people — it feels unfair and uncomfortable. The service was slow, unorganized, and honestly rude at times. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt ignored and disrespected. This is not how a restaurant should treat its customers. I would strongly NOT recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money and go somewhere that actually values its customers.

13/04/2026Waiters tend to judge and serve according to your ethnicity, they were extremely ignorant and rather aggressive when serving most likely since we are Indian. We carefully observed other people in the restaurant and we could clearly differentiate the service between us both.

08/06/2026Posto come molti direbbero per turisti ma in verità io che sono di milano posso solo dire, posto dove il servizio e la cucina sono ancora genuini per noi Milanesi. Ho portato amici in visita a milano e nonostante sia in galleria i prezzi sono ancora nella media ma quello che ne fa la vera differenza è il servizio, impeccabile, preciso, presente ma non invadente e soprattutto preparato alle mille domande che uno straniero in visita gli fa sui mille piatti. Lo conoscilo forse proprio per questo.

01/06/2026Als wir auf das restaurant aufmerksam wurden dachten wir an ein schönes Ambiente und ein leckeres Mittagessen. Unsere wünsche wurden aber überhaupt nicht erfüllt. Das Ambiente war unter aller sau und dazu kann der Kellner nicht mal eine einfache Bestellung sich merken. Für den absurden preis wurde man nicht mal satt und die pizza sah aus und schmeckte wie eine TK. Nicht weiter zu empfehlen.

La locanda si trova nella Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, arredo classico, attenzione per i particolari ma soprattutto per il cliente. Siamo arrivati in seconda serata, verso le 22:30, in pochissimi minuti il tavolo era pronto e ci hanno fatto accomodare. Dal primo momento sono stati gentili , disponibili e attenti ai particolari ( dal gancio per la borsa al consiglio culinario con profonda onestà). Mio marito ha ordinato il risotto alla milanese in crosta di parmigiano e preparato con i pistilli di zafferano, mentre io ho preso un piatto del giorno “ tagliatelle in crema di burro e parmigiano con tartufo nero; qualcuno potrebbe dire “ ma ti sei partita dalla Puglia per mangiare pasta al burro? Beh, non è la solita basta al burro come la si fa a casa, era condita con una squisita crema di burro e parmigiano, che per un’amante di questi ingredienti era top, e una generosa spolverata di tartufo nero. Ci hanno servito un cestino con un pane buonissimo, ma ancor di più lo era la focaccia bianca e dei cracker ai semi di zucca. Le porzioni sono generose ed eravamo troppo sazi per i dessert, ma sono stati così carini che hanno avuto piacere a farci assaggiare dei bocconcini di biscotto che si scioglievano in bocca ( ho avuto timore che in aereo non me li avrebbero fatti imbarcare e non ho potuto acquistarli) e dulcis in fundo un gelatino “ il dai dai” , un bocconcino di gelato alla vaniglia ricoperto di cioccolato ( il cameriere ci ha anche raccontato la storia della nascita del nome di questi gelatini, che lui stesso aveva appreso anni prima da un cliente… che meraviglia viaggiare). Noi pugliesi siamo calorosi, sorridenti e ci piace la compagnia, arrivata a Milano ho avvertito una sensazione di freddezza e grigiore , ma mangiare in questa locanda mi ha messo di buon umore, il personale è accogliente e sorride sempre. Se dovessimo tornare a Milano non ci faremo scappare la possibilità di tornare a mangiare in questa locanda

Bien sûr les menus sont disponibles dans la plupart des langues. Les plats sont savoureux et copieux. Les desserts délicieux également. Enfin les prix restent raisonnables pour l emplacement et le service apporté.

14/05/2026Wir waren wieder einmal für ein Mittagessen hier. Sind die Preise etwas höher als sonst wo in der Stadt? Selbstverständlich, aber ich fand die Preise völlig moderat. Man muss sich auch der Lage bewusst sein. Der Service war sehr freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Die Einrichtung ist schön gestaltet und bietet die Gemütlichkeit welche man erwartet. Wir hatten das Ossobuco und das Kalbsschnitzel nach Mailänder Art (für mich persönlich um Welten besser als ein Wiener Schnitzel, da das Kotelett fettiger ist und dadurch viel mehr Feuchtigkeit und Geschmack mitbringt). Beides war hervorragend zubereitet. Auch wenn das Schnitzel mit den paar Kartoffeln nach wenig auf dem Teller aussieht, es ist wirklich sehr viel.... Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis empfand ich als gut. Ich würde dieses Lokal jedem empfehlen der auf der suche nach authentischer Mailänder Küche ist. Zu meiner obligatorischen Schlussfrage ob ich wieder hier her kommen würde? Auf jeden Fall!

03/05/2026Restaurant ist an einer top Location in der Galleria Vittorio Emanuele gelegen. Das Restaurant ist immer gut besucht, manchmal muss man ein wenig warten bis man einen Tisch kriegt. Trotz des hohen Personenaufkommens in und um das Restaurant herum sind die Kellner freundlich und professionell. Sowohl die verschiedenen Pastateller, welche wir bestellten, wie auch der Tomaten Mozzarella Salat waren alles lecker. Kaffee sehr gut. Preislich nicht günstig, aber das darf man an dieser Lage auch nicht erwarten.

03/05/2026Locale molto accogliente e ben curato. Abbiamo mangiato delle cotolette alla milanese buonissime. Erano belle morbide con un’impanatura croccante. Anche il dolce non era da meno. Il personale è stato molto attento e gentile. Posto consigliatissimo. Torneremo sicuramente.

Grazie a Marco e a tutto il gatto rosso per l'esperienza di averci fatto provare piatti tipici della tradizione in un'atmosfera unica.

11/04/2026اولاً المطعم اكله سيء جداً طلبت ستيك وسباقيتي روبيان بكل امانه الروبيان طعمه زفر جداً جدا ماقدرت اكل مره ثانيه والستيك لحم بقر حسب وصف المنيو ولكن شكيت انه لحم بقري و ايضا طعمه سيء اما بخصوص سلطة السيزر لابأس بها ممكن المطاعم الثانيه الصغير تقدم سيزر افضل وفيه موظف اعتقد كوري او صيني مزاجه سيء جداً وواضح من طريقة تقديمه للاطباق على كل حال الاطباق الي طلبتها سيئه جداً و اقيمها صفر للاسف Firstly, the food at the restaurant was terrible. I ordered steak and shrimp spaghetti, and honestly, the shrimp tasted incredibly fishy. I couldn't eat it again. The steak was described as beef on the menu, but I doubted it was beef, and it also tasted bad. As for the Caesar salad, it was okay; other smaller restaurants might offer a better Caesar salad. There was also an employee, I think Korean or Chinese, who had a very bad attitude, which was evident from the way he presented the dishes. In any case, the dishes I ordered were very bad, and I unfortunately give them a zero rating.

05/04/2026Accueil très chaleureux (merci à Mose pour ses recommandations et sa bonne humeur !). On y est allé en famille et on s’est régalé. Les pâtes aux palourdes et boutargue étaient excellentes. Tellement frais que chaque bouchée sentait l’air marin. On a aussi pris le risotto à la milanaise, les gnocchis et les ravioli, tout aussi savoureux. On a essayé les desserts du jours faits pour Pâques, excellents aussi. Les pris sont réalistes vu le cadre et la qualité. Je recommande absolument si vous visitez le centre de Milan.

01/04/2026Fomos nesse restaurante por acaso, mas acabamos voltando mais uma vez só por causa do atendimento. O garçom Andrea foi simplesmente incrível com a gente. Ele fala português perfeitamente, explicou tudo com muita paciência e deu várias dicas. A comida é boa, melhor pizza que comemos na Itália, mas sinceramente o que mais marcou foi o atendimento dele, é muito difícil encontrar alguém que fala português na Itália, nos ajudou demais! Com certeza vamos indicar para outros brasileiros. Vale muito a pena!

28/02/2026Bel locale in galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Ancora meglio di come me lo aspettavo... Ci siamo fermati per cena,e posso confermare che il cibo e di alta qualita. Antipasti ottimi(polpette al sugo e parmigiana di melanzane) Primi davvero deliziosi(risotto milanese servito in cestino parmigiano e tagliattele alla bolognese che goduria) E per essagerare abbiamo condiviso anche una cottoleta davvero ottima.per il dolce dobbiamo tornare. Ottima anche la carta dei vini. Il personale e meraviglioso e attento. Grazie a tutti e complimenti!!!

28/02/2026Nous n’avons même pas eu le temps de nous asseoir que la serveuse antipathique venait déjà nous demander la commande ; elle est revenue ensuite 3-4 fois et pourtant nous savons choisir rapidement mais ce n’était assez vite. Ensuite elle est venue enlever l’huile d’olive alors que nous mangions !! Incroyable cette attitude antipathique et sans sourire. La cuisine est bonne, le cadre est joli mais le service est loin d’être à la hauteur du lieu, nous ne le recommandons pas.
