10/06/2026n terms of price-performance, I wasn’t very impressed. The dough is quite thick, and the pizza is served pre-cut into slices, which you eat with a fork. Because of the thick crust, it feels less like eating pizza and more like eating another dish with a fork. I personally didn’t enjoy it very much and also found it expensive. I paid €13 for a slice of pizza and a cola. The tables were not particularly clean, although you can choose to eat either inside at the tables or outside. If you’re visiting Milan and want to try the famous pizza al taglio (pizza by the slice), it may be worth stopping by once. However, I don’t think I’ll be coming back. 3/5

31/05/2026Spontini Pizza near the Duomo is one of those places that attracts huge crowds, which naturally gives the impression that you’re about to try one of Milan’s best pizzas. After trying it, I’d say it’s good, but not quite deserving of the hype. The location plays a big role in its popularity. Being right behind the Duomo means there’s constant tourist traffic, and for many visitors it’s an easy and convenient place to grab a quick bite. The concept is very casual and self-service: you order your pizza, find a spot at one of the high standing tables, eat, and move on so others can use the space. The pizza itself is decent and worth trying if you’re already in the area, but I wouldn’t consider it an authentic pizza experience, nor would I go out of my way to visit. I’ve had better pizzas elsewhere in Milan that offer more flavor, atmosphere, and overall value. If you’re nearby and curious, give it a try. Just don’t expect the crowds to be a guarantee of the city’s best pizza. It’s a convenient tourist stop rather than a destination worth a special trip.

I was expecting a huge crowd, but while the place was busy, it was still well organized and comfortable. Ordering was simple and straightforward. After looking through the menu photos, I chose the small Primavera pizza, topped with baby tomatoes. The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The ingredients tasted high quality, and the crust was perfectly prepared. I really enjoyed it and would happily visit again. 🧡

The pizza was thick, crispy on the outside, soft inside, and loaded generously with cheese and ingredients. Simple yet incredibly satisfying. You can immediately tell why this place is so famous in Milan. Every bite felt authentic and comforting. What I really liked was how fast and efficient the service was despite the crowd. The atmosphere was lively, casual, and full of energy, giving a true local Milan experience. Perfect place for a quick meal after shopping or exploring the city. If you enjoy classic Italian pizza with a unique Milan-style touch, Spontini is a must-visit. Great food, solid portions, fair prices, and an iconic experience overall. 19/05/2026It’s not a place as overrated on social media. They use a pre-made thick pizza base and simply add toppings depending on the type of pizza you choose before serving it. I don’t believe authentic Italian pizza is supposed to taste this bad. In addition, the price per slice is €9, which is extremely expensive for the product offered.

Der Service ist flott und praktisch für einen schnellen Snack. Allerdings kann ich den extremen Hype um diesen Laden nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Warum das Lokal so überdurchschnittlich gut bewertet wird, ist mir ein Rätsel, da es meiner Meinung nach bessere Alternativen für Pizza gibt. Für eine schnelle Mahlzeit ist es okay, aber man sollte keine kulinarischen Wunder erwarten.

Seul bémol : la salle ne dispose pas de chaises, on mange debout, un peu entassés les uns sur les autres, et l’endroit n’est pas forcément très propre. Mais pour le prix, on a une grosse part de pizza au choix, rapide et efficace. C’est une bonne option si vous voulez manger quelque chose de simple, copieux et bon sans perdre de temps.
