30/05/2026Reserved for two at 21:30, visiting from New York. At 21:00, with several tables free, we asked to be seated early — refused, no explanation given. At 21:30, we were shown to the bar counter, with no prior indication this was our assigned seating. We asked to move to an available table — refused again. Those tables stayed empty until closing. On the service:The manager's conduct was unacceptable. As non-Italian guests, we felt deliberately unwelcome — a treatment we would not expect any local diner to receive. His inability to coordinate basic hospitality only added to our disappointment. On the food: vitello tonnato was excellent, pasta well-seasoned and flavorful, cotoletta alla milanese slightly dry. Without the manager's behavior, this would have been a near-perfect meal.

19/05/2026The atmosphere and service were super. The cotolete Milanese was supreme, the rest that we ordered were ok. Salad dish was missing from the menu. Also our reservation was at 14.00 and the restaurant closes at 15.15, so there was a ‘push’, not from the staff, to finish fast in order to be on time

24/04/2026A great neighbourhood restaurant, but not necessarily one worth going out of your way for. The menu was interesting and the food was flawlessly executed by the kitchen, however the service is perfunctory - it does the job not there is no attempt to connect with the guests or even the basic ‘table check’. You even have to flag down someone to get another drink. In this respect it loses the recognition of being worth making a journey for. We walked out the door without being thanked for our visit.

29/03/2026Great spot with delicious Milanese food. We sat at the bar and it was fun to watch them prepare and yell out the orders. The staff spoke English well and were very friendly. We had the fried artichoke, risotto and agnolotti - which was our favorite.

14/02/2026he Milan-style schnitzel was a large portion and delicious. After frying, they finish it off in butter for a bit. Their pasta and wines were great. The atmosphere is pleasant, staff are friendly, and if you sit at the bar, you can watch the food being prepared. The tiramisu was legendary. It had orange and raisin flavors—we absolutely loved it.

12/02/2026Intimate setting with dim lighting and great customer service. You can watch the cooks make all the meals in the open kitchen. Lots of countertop seating space especially if you are dining alone. If you are into cocktails they only have three but the wines by the glass are pretty good in taste and variety. I started with the fried artichokes which were delicious. Then I had to try the ragu and it was a good portion for one and nicely cooked pasta. To me both meals were very salty but still good.

The food is simply outstanding. The pasta is spectacular—truly the star of the show. Every dish tasted fresh, authentic, and perfectly executed. If you're looking for the quintessential Italian pasta experience, this is the place to find it. Beyond the incredible cuisine, the service is warm, attentive, and highly professional. The staff makes you feel incredibly welcome from the moment you step inside. The ambiance is also wonderfully cozy and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a relaxed meal or a special evening out. We highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting or living in Milan. We are already eagerly looking forward to our next visit!

30/11/2025Overhyped from social media. I echo all the thoughts of the 2/3 star reviews listed here. Service was curt and nothing great, menu seemed to be seasonal (they may not have items listed on Google menu) - the dishes ok and not great. But, if you work in the F&B industry you would familiarise yourself with how NOT to be a hostess. We were seated three different groups of asians all at the back of restaurant in the same row - some might think racist, others might think chance. When the restaurant is half empty, it’s just bad hosting/ racism. So once again - if you’re a tourist and/or Asian, don’t go.

18/11/2025Having worked in hospitality for almost twenty years, I have a real soft spot for everything that makes a restaurant shine: great food, an open kitchen, friendly staff, a good bar, well-made cocktails, and a lovely wine list. We had a reservation at 14:00 and the experience began beautifully; relaxed, delicious, exactly the kind of place you want to linger. At 15:00, however, the kitchen was scrubbed down, which instantly shifted the atmosphere. Our wine glasses were left empty, we weren’t asked if we wanted dessert, and the feeling was simply that our presence was no longer welcome. When we went to pay, the person handling the bill, whom we assumed to be the manager, didn’t have the decency to look us in the face, remaining on the phone throughout. What could have been an exceptional lunch was diluted into a frustrating and dismissive experience in the last half hour.

19/10/2025I really enjoyed Rovello 18. As a solo traveler, getting a last minute reservation at the bar for one was easy. It was a great way to meet and chat with other ppl… especially if you’re traveling alone. Food is more elevated so expect to pay a bit more, but is worth it.

20/09/2025We arrived 10 minutes before our 7:00 reservation. We opened the door to go in. Someone came out and said they weren’t open yet and then locked the door. We waited outside. At one minute before 7:00 we still hadn’t been invited inside. We left and found a lovely pasta restaurant right around the corner. Good food and great service.

01/09/2025Let’s start with the manager. She proudly stated we are full all the time - a high boast indeed. So I told her I will tell her afterwards. Well no tables so Akber and I sat at the bar in full view of the kitchen. Rafaello the head chef slid over for a chat. Uff had I batted for the other side he could have had me in a heart beat. He was charming, funny and controlled his kitchen like a true professional, overlooking every dish before it was served. Hats off matey. Simple restricted menu and a decent wine list if rather expensive. Primi was Cacio e Pepe. Best one ever oozing with pecorino and pepper. That boy can do pasta like it’s no one’s business! Simple yet Sublime! 10/10. I asked for bread to stop me from licking the plate - “fare la scarpetta” LOL. Next the Ombrina deftly handled by Sofia. Perfectly cooked flakes falling off the crispy skin cooked 90% on the skin side and turned over. Cooked a-point to finish on the plate. Serviced with grilled/fried zucchini which was not oily at all and matched the fish perfectly. The emulsion was finger licking good which the bread mopped up nicely. Scarpetta again hahaha. Damn that fish was good and the skin oooh la la Not full we went for the tagliatelle a la ragu de bra (veal sausage ragu). No breasts were involved in the making (bra geddit - oh Nevermind). It was spicy and was like a typical tagliatelle with Ragu. But a super duper version. Mopped that up in no time. Wanted to try the Txuletta but didn’t have the space nor the budget. But will be back to try it. I wonder how it compares to Donostia? The way it was cooked and served meant it matched the San Sebastián version so watch this space! Finally sated, the basque cheesecake arrived. Nothing like cheesecake. It was a slightly wet centred slice of perfection on a plate. No sauces to detract from the simplicity of the Basque dessert delicacy. Only a coffee (I’m sorry it was a cappuccino not an espresso so please don’t judge). Anyways we shared the meal and I can honestly say that it was the crowning meal of our time in Lombardi specifically Milan I’m going back for lunch and that is the greatest accolade I can give. I even went to the manageress, doffed my cap and said Vero - she had been absolutely right in her boast! Just come here and enjoy great food at reasonable prices and service. You’ll be glad that you came.

Tutti i piatti sono incredibili - abbiamo adorato l’antipasto di asparagi, e mi piace un sacco il polpo alla brace. I vini che il cameriere ci ha raccomandato completano molto bene i nostri secondi. Questo ristorante è perfetto per un’occasione speciale! Effettua una prenotazione in anticipo.

03/04/2026십년만에 온 밀라노에서의 첫끼. 기대도 됐고 구글 평점에 불안하기도 했죠. 결론은, 소개해준 AI에게 너무나 큰 실망을 하게 되었다는! 와인 러버라 감안해서 소개시켜준 듯한데 일단 잔와인은 몇종류 없었고 음식은 거의 남겼답니다. 서버는 남긴 파스타에 왜이렇게 많이 남겼는지 물어보는게 아니라 본인도 민망했는지 포장해줄까?...했다는. 손님도 몇 없었는데 혼자온 세사람을 붙여앉히는 이유가? 속도 안좋아 2차도 못가서 여러모로 아쉬운 하루가 되었답니다.

09/03/2026Ambiente bello e accogliente, non rumoroso , curato, clientela selezionata e piatti della tradizione che sono un goduria per il palato. In due è bella l’esperienza al bancone, che ha vista sulla cucina, in particolare sulla brace che è una chicca del locale. Il servizio è molto buono e anche i tempi di servizio delle pietanze consentono di sedersi per una rapida pausa pranzo.

Il bancone ha un fascino incredibile, ricorda quei locali eleganti e vivaci di Londra o Parigi dove ti fermeresti per ore tra un calice e l’altro. La selezione di vini è fantastica e il cibo è semplicemente straordinario: piatti curati, sapori autentici e qualità altissima. Qui si mangia davvero da Dio. E poi c’è Michele: accoglienza perfetta, competenza e simpatia. Il numero uno. 🍷✨

06/03/2026Excellente expérience. Nous étions installés au bar et avons pu assister à la préparation des plats : un petit spectacle tout au long de la soirée, très agréable. La cuisine est à la fois moderne et ancrée dans la tradition, et c’était vraiment excellent. Le lieu est joli et chaleureux, avec une très belle ambiance. J’aurais adoré y retourner pendant notre séjour.

06/03/2026Che dire..le cose sono due: o Google aggiunge la sesta stella in modo da poter attribuire il corretto valore a Rovello, oppure dovrò rettificare le mie precedenti attribuzioni di 5 stelle dandone 4. In sostanza un posto incredibile, con cibo genuino e cucinato espresso davanti ai tuoi occhi, servito con una gentilezza ed una cura fuori dal comune. La carta dei vini completa e assortita. Uno di quei posti dove stai bene, mangi bene e bevi bene. Menzione speciale per la location elegante, ma sobria.

05/03/2026Rovello è bello, ragazzi bravissimi, uscita piatti in sincronismo perfetto, scheffoni pure, risotto giallissimo di livello alto, una carta dei vini top che merita di essere stampata. Mangiare al banco non sushi a un suo perchè. Con un piccolo adeguamento acustico ambiente perfetto con parcheggio comodissimo.

Cucina concreta e ben eseguita: ottima la tartare di manzo, calamarata molto ben bilanciata e radicchio con cipolla davvero centrato nei sapori. Anche la tagliata e la cacio e pepe hanno convinto pienamente il tavolo. Presente un sommelier in sala e una cantina costruita negli anni con circa 800 etichette. Il Nebbiolo consigliato si è rivelato una scelta coerente e di livello. Servizio numeroso, rapido e attento. Ritmo corretto per una serata conviviale. Unico neo il caffè finale, risultato leggermente acidulo. Conto in linea con qualità, servizio e proposta complessiva. Indirizzo solido in centro a Milano.

Importante fazer reserva, mesmo para o almoço durante a semana. O atendimento foi simpático e serviço eficiente. No cardápio ótimas pedidas. Comece pela incrível alcachofra frita com ovo e creme de pecorino, imperdível! Para o principal vá de cacio e pepe, ou pergunte pelos pratos do dia - a calamarata estava ótima! Para a sobremesa vá de panetone ao tiramissú, fantástico! Boa carta de vinhos, inclusive com opções de taças. Bom custo beneficio. Vale muito a visita!

02/02/2026Dopo le belle esperienze nella storica sede di Brera questa volta non è andata bene. Antipasti, primi, secondi in sharing. A parte un buon antipasto (peperoni) il resto purtroppo sotto la sufficienza. Plin scotti, cacio e pepe insaporito, cotoletta salatissima e burrosa. A quel punto non abbiamo neanche “rischiato” con il dolce.

Il servizio però è molto peggiorato: ti tolgono il piatto senza chiedere, arroganza sulla scelta del vino e atteggiamenti poco consoni alla mansione di cameriere nei confronti del cliente. Nella precedente ubicazione c`era più serietà in quella nuova all'inizio sì ma ora no. Se sei stanco non lavorare che fai perdere la credibilità e futuri affari al locale.

Artichaut parmesan : bonsoir produits bien cuisiné, servit cru (nous pensions qu'il serait cuit ou frit) Caccio e pepe : un délice, cuisson parfaite assaisonnement idéal portion adequat Vitello tonato : tres bon, produits frais de qualité et bien assaisonné Tiramisu : un régal et tres léger Un tres bon restaurant si on aime le "bistronomique" prix un tout petit peu trop élevé selon nous mais quand même très correct pour la qualité. 18/01/2026Un bel locale della bella Milano, quella che ancora si interessa a fare buona cucina. È un posto che sceglierei per una cena romantica o al massimo con pochi intimi. Cotoletta da urlo, proposte fuori menù. Mettetevi in ghingheri che qui ci si sfoggia! Carta dei vini molto buona, sicuramente c'è da divertirsi!

17/01/2026Siamo state a cena io e due amiche e ci siamo trovate bene. Il posto è elegante ma non troppo, con la cucina a vista che dà un tocco vivace – si può anche mangiare anche al bancone che affaccia sulla cucina. I piatti erano tutti buoni, un misto tra cucina italiana e piemontese. Alcune ricette innovate e altre tradizionali. Prodotti utilizzati sicuramente di qualità. Il personale è molto gentile e attento, il sommelier simpatico e bravo, che ci ha consigliato un ottimo vino dalla loro carta notevole. Il conto è un po' alto per l’atmosfera del ristorante (3 antipasti, 3 primi, 3 dolci e una bottiglia di vino 64€ a testa) ma per provare l'esperienza ne vale la pena.

09/12/2025ランチで利用しました。お一人様でもカウンタ−があるので気軽に食事ができます。年齢的にフルの量は食べられないので、お店の人に相談したところとても親切にアドバイスして料理を選ぶことができました。とても美味しく、出汁スープに入ったラビオリが美味しかったです。 店内は祝日という事もあってか14時位から激混みで、とても活気があり人気の高さが分かりました。予約必須です。時間が許せば13時頃に行くのがゆっくりと料理も選べて良いかと思います。

24/11/2025도착하니 자리가 많은데 테이블 자리도 안주고 겨우 문가에 있는 자리를 앉으라고 누가 앉을까! 하얀파스타는 짯지만 배고파서 먹었고 스라이스 비프는 질긴 힘줄같은게 있어서 겨우 씹어먹었다. 라구파스타는 그나마 먹을만 했지만 맛이 평범했다. 와인도 거기서 거기! 스매시드감자가 제일 맛있었다. 조금 일찍 도착했지만 비오는 날씨에 나가서 기다리라는 스탭도 참 얄밌다. 비추!!!

30/10/2025Ristorante accogliente, con cucina a vista e un’atmosfera vivace ma mai invadente. Il servizio è attento e professionale, con personale cordiale che sa mettere a proprio agio. Un plauso particolare alla selezione dei vini, davvero notevole: si spazia da etichette leggere a bottiglie più ricercate. Ho provato a prenotare un paio di volte e finalmente ho avuto modo di visitarlo. Questa cena mi ha confermato che la cucina italiana è ancora una delle mie preferite! Ho scelto la pasta e fagioli come primo e il vitello tonnato come secondo: entrambi eccellenti. I tagliolini al tartufo sono un altro must: profumati, ben mantecati e perfettamente equilibrati nei sapori. Unico neo: il conto può risultare un po’ alto, soprattutto se si confronta con le porzioni. Tuttavia, la qualità degli ingredienti e l’esperienza complessiva giustificano la spesa. Consigliato!

28/09/2025Ristorante elegante ma non eccessivamente da risultare troppo formale. Vi è la possibilità di mangiare al bancone (con vista sulla cucina mentre i cuochi preparano i piatti) o al tavolo. A livello di prezzi è un po' caro, quindi non è per tutti, ma l'esperienza è ripagata dalla qualità del cibo e del servizio. Io e il mio gruppo di amici abbiamo anche preso una quantità considerevole di piatti, in particolare numerosi antipasti da condividere, un primo e un secondo a testa, più i vini. Consigliato per una cena galante con la propria dolce metà, per un appuntamento in cui si vuole fare bella figura, per una cena formale di lavoro o di affari o semplicemente per chi vuole fare un'esperienza diversa dal solito ristorante.

09/09/2025con il cambio di sede, Rovello realizzato un bellissimo ristorante dal sapore moderno ma classico allo stesso tempo. ottima la cucina con piatti che classici ma con un twist in più, nessuno sbaglio. peccato per le tensioni fra lo staff che, seppur non esplicite, non hanno permesso che la serata si concludesse in modo perfetto.
